Yay for getting the resort you wanted!! What a huge relief I bet! The pictures are VERY nice. What a comfortable place to rest your heads. :)

:cool1: for getting your resort booked! We actually have a 2 bedroom timeshare at the Sheraton Vistana in Orlando! In fact, we'll be staying there in March. It's such a pretty resort and depending on which grad school I go to, we may be checking in on March 5!

Good to know lunch will stay one credit. :thumbsup2 I'm not big on "spending" two credits for one meal and Le Cellier is on my radar for next time. Thanks for the info Amy!

Thanks Brook! This trip was different where I wasn't really involved in any of the planning. So, I sort of was a "wingman" and was along for the ride. It was certainly fun and I had a spectacular time with friends but not very TR-worthy, if that makes sense? :)

I'm glad you had a fun trip... even if you aren't going to share it with us. :rolleyes1

It's a great resort with lots to do & it's so close to the parks!

Congrats on getting your first choice!!! :yay:

Thank you!! :cool1:

No way! Vistana is a great resort! Maybe we'll cross paths! :thumbsup2

:woohoo: :woohoo: for getting the resort you wanted!!

Thanks Missy - it was a great surprise!

Hurray for having a resort booked!!! :yay:

 I'm so glad to have it checked off my list! And I didn't have to get up at midnight like I usually do! ;)

Yay for getting your exchange done!
Gorgeous digs!

Am sooo sleepy now... will pop in to check out your girls' weekend TR tomorrow!

Hi Kathy!! Glad to see you around the DIS so much more lately!! :goodvibes Somebody's getting excited for January... :rolleyes1

 So happy that you got the resort you wanted. That has to be a weight off your mind and now you can be planning other stuff :rotfl:.

Animal Kingdom
treeoflife.jpg

My family LOVES Animal Kingdom!! We only visit a handful of attractions, but they always want to go back for more!!

We have two scheduled visits during our upcoming trip:
• Sunday 2/27 (mid-afternoon – 5-5:15pm)
• Friday 3/4 (rope drop – after lunch)

I asked each of my boys, including Tim, what their favorite things are at each park. Here is what they told me for Animal Kingdom:

Zach – He didn’t have favorites by park because he couldn’t remember where each attraction is located. So his answer for Disney overall was, “rides, restaurants & snowcones”. :rotfl2: Zach also asked if we were going to see new stuff again this year.

Alex – His first response was that he “likes them all” Then he said, “Dinosaur, Primeval Whirl & Expedition Everest”

Tim – His favorites are Expedition Everest & Kali River Rapids!

Me – I would have to say that I have to ride the safari once each trip and I love EE & FOTLK. I would like to explore one of the walking trails this time around too.

Armed with that information I have come up with these park goals:

• Expedition Everest

• Dinosaur

• Safari

• Kali River Rapids (I may sit this one out…)

• One of the trails

• FOTLK or Nemo – I’m open to seeing either since we haven’t seen Nemo in a while.

Arrival day (Sunday 2/27) will be very flexible. We may only have time for a couple of favorites between checking in at the resort & our 5:45 dinner ADR at Chef Mickey’s. We’ll have a more structured touring plan for our second day, which will start at rope drop & go until we feel like leaving. We have a 5:00 dinner ADR at Mama Melrose’s but that’s one we could easily skip.

We usually end up visiting Flame Tree BBQ – one of our favorite CS restaurants - at least once during each trip.

I love all the smiles!!! :goodvibes

If given the choice, I wouldn't select Animal Kingdom as one of my favorites... but as you can see, my family loves it so much that it is definitely a favorite for me too!!

Up next: Some pictures from Halloween & Hollywood Studios!!

Your Animal Kingdom goals are almost identical to ours on every trip! Love all your pictures from past trips! The boys have grown up so much over the past few years.

I guess there's only so much you can do at Animal Kingdom! :confused3

The boys have gotten big... Zach has a baby face in the older pictures! I'm glad I took the time to go through and organize my pictures so I could share some flash backs. Lots more to come! :thumbsup2

I was thinking the same thing as CP... my, how big the boys are getting!

Knew Dinosaur was going to be on the list! :lmao:

I am getting excited, aren't you?!

Kathy
