Looking for a hotel to stay at for one night prior to our checkin at Pop on Nov. 27th. POP is sold out, as is just about everything else on property. We can't swing the pricey rooms that are still available for Nov. 26th.

Priceline has been unsuccessful for me so far. Possibly I'm just bidding too low. I'm still reviewing betterbidding.com, etc, so I'll continue trying those with a strategy. But in the meantime I'd feel better getting something reserved that we could always cancel later if Priceline comes through.

We want some place clean and in a safe area to stay for one night. No frills needed as we won't be there more than just to sleep. Ideally we'd like a complimentary breakfast of some fashion but again, that's not mandatory as I can pack nibbles for morning.

Can you recommend a hotel for 2 adults, 2 kids, close to WDW that would fit the bill? I'm looking to spend under $50 for this just to get the basics, no muss, no fuss.

OK,The first time I punched in Nov. 27-28th then realized you needed a room Nov.26-27th! The Holiday Inn Hotel & suites Maingate East is 3 miles from Walt Disney World and it's $69 per night on Expedia.com. You might be able to get a cheaper quote on their own website....I know it's more than you wanted to spend but the others are too much or too far away.
Good Luck,
Debbie

We are staying at the Holiday Inn Nikki Bird Resort ina couple of weeks-for a family of 6 with 2 double beds and a double sofa bed plus fridge and microwave --we got a room of this size for $65 through disneyworldsavings.com so I'm sure you could get one for less.

There site says:
Rates start at $45, CLOSEST Resort Hotel to Disney® Theme Parks(Disney Good Neighbor Hotel)
FREE scheduled shuttle service to each Disney Park
All rooms complete with kitchenette & coffee maker
Kids (12 & under) eat FREE breakfast as well as dinner
Three heated swimming pools

We have received good recommendations on DIS just recently--under this forum, heading "Anyone stayed at Holiday Inn Nikki Bird recently?"
It's worth the look! Good luck!
