Okay I have been looking at these threads about cakes and they look so yummy!! I really want to order one, but I need a reason! Help me think of one!
We are going May 15th - May 20th. It will be my husband, myself, a 3 kiddos ages 1 yr, 2 yrs, and 8 yrs.

I really want a cake!
We won't be celebrating a birthday or anniversary at that time, so hmmmmm??

I am thinking of getting a welcome back cake...... I was thinking that it was kinda silly but maybe not! I might just have to do it!

Okay I am definitely getting a cake, it is settled! LOL. And I think I'll go with Happy Unbirthday (I know DH will get a kick out of that..) !
YAY!

I know, I want a cake too. I've been reading the cake thread and they sound and look so delicious! It's just with all the desserts we'll be eating on the dining plan, will we have room for cake too? MIL's birthday is 3 weeks before we go, so I did think about getting her a cake. Since it's her first trip, I also thought about a "Welcome to Disney" cake.

Now, DH and I will be celebrating our anniversary just 1 day after we arrive home. We will be eating an anniversary dinner a couple of days before we go home, so I might do one there. I just would like the kids and MIL to enjoy the cake too. I know we can take the leftovers back to the villa so I might opt for that.

I ordered a "welcome to WDW" cake. I ordered it from the Poly (served at the Luau) and it said: Aloha Adrienne and Sandra. It had a "tropical"theme (meaning: it looked like ocean/ beach and had palm trees and surf boards and so on it, really cool!)

It tasted really good, costed about 50 USD, and served as midnight snack/ breakfast during our week there, so taking that into consideration, the value of it was really good!

You guys are great! LOL.. I was hoping I wasn't the only one looking for a reason to order a cake when I didn't have any *traditional* reasons. I'm looking forward to a yummy cake and my kids will be very happy! :)

I think you should make it a family tradition. Every time you visit WDW you need a cake to celebrate your family having quality time together.

Any day is a reason for cake in my opinion, especially at Disney.

It's my mom's birthday when we go to WDW but we just ordered the slipper dessert, since there are only 4 of us and we are on the dining plan. I thought a cake would be too much for us.
