Thanks Kathy! Seeing the village and talking to Susie Storey made a real big impact on my girls and I. I definitely would like to go and volunteer sometime. In fact, it turns out Susie (the director of communications) is a graduate of the University where I work now, and we're working together to try to organize an "alternative spring break" trip in March. I want to bring a group of students down to volunteer at GKTW for the week. If we can get it together, do you want to join our team? For college groups, we need 1 adult chaperone for every 4 students. Right now, I'm the chaperone. So I can only bring 4 students.
I just wanted to chime in and say you did a great job Dave. I thuroughly enjoyed listening to the segment. The background audio really made the interview seem more real. It was almost like I was there with you guys.
I have a much better understanding of this facility. What a blessing. Thanks for bringing it to us!
My old company actually did some of the construction work at GKTW and they would send us some "gifts" as a token of their appreciation....I remember this one beautiful picture with some wording that just made you cry....everytime I see them at the parks with their pins, it makes me feel so blessed to have healthy children.
