For us we would never waste a FP+ on a parade or show.

There are plenty of options to view these without a FP+ and it limits your ability to get further FP's after your 3rd is used.

We use FP+ for rides so we have the ability to get more as our family does RD and we park hop.

We love to get FP+ for Wishes and MSEP at least once during our trip. It's nice to not have to fight the crowds.

We were there for ten nights over fourth of July last year. We were in MK on the fourth and didn't have any issues with parades or wishes. Never saw it that crowded in 7 trips. So, IMO I would say no to using FP.
