Give A Day Question - Annual Pass

We are planning on going to Disney World April 4-11 staying off site. We are also planning to go to DW again a couple more times later this year. I would like to purchase an annual pass. Can apply my GAD voucher to the purchase price of the annual pass and if so, can I purchase this pass on April 4th? The GAD site states that April 4th is a black out date but since I will be purchasing an annual pass will it still be able to work for us? Thank you all in advance for your help!

You can get an AP after you turn in your GAD and enter the park. Then you go to CS and do the upgrade. Since your first day is a GAD blackout day you will not be able to do as I just stated. You will either have to pay the full price of the AP or wait until a non-blackout date to use your GAD and do the upgrade.
