Give a Day program reaches goal of 1 million volunteers

I didn't see this posted yet but maybe I missed it.

The Give a Day program is over, they announced that they have reached 1 million volunteers.

Wow! Talk about wildly successful! 10 weeks to get a million volunteers? I wonder what, if anything, will be next?

Glad we signed up early & did our volunteer work in February!!!

It's wonderful that they reached one million volunteers so quickly...but I think it may have surprised them how quickly it was reached!!!

Wow. Craziness. We're doing our volunteering in two weeks. Glad we signed up before it closed!

We just signed up last night! Our first organization never contacted us, so I signed up last night and heard back already. Thank goodness!!

We signed up but the orginization never contacted us. DLR seems tied between 3 promotions. the 2fer, celebrate, and the give a day get a day. Now that the give a day is over, do you think they might just continue on with the celebrate theme without the free birthday? Im sure they thought ahead that they might get volunteers fast, but this fast? We will have to see I guess.

While the Give a Day. Get a Disney Day. promotion has ended, Disney Parks will continue to invite our Guests to celebrate the Spirit of Giving, as well as all of life's special moments, at the Disneyland Resort in California and/or the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida as we continue to ask What Will You Celebrate?

At this time, there are no planned changes for any present or future entertainment and other offerings at any of US-based Parks.

Maybe you were the one million!!!

I know!!!!

My friend was waiting for me to sign up and let her know which date we selected so she could join us in making blankets for the animal shelter. I called her as soon as I got the confirmation email and she went to sign up but discovered the promo had ended!! We just squeaked by!!

But now I have a question, which I also asked on the promotion thread: my friend was unable to register but I was able to add her to our group on my HandsOn account. Will this really qualify her for a voucher?
