I just mailed off my package for the GAD program! YAY! My family collected can tabs. 2 gallon size bags filled with tabs = 4 happy family members with vouchers! It was so easy!

Wow! That sure is an easy one. My dd and I are going to work at a resale shop on 2/27 for 4 hours. We are going for the fastpasses so it doesn't sound like a bad trade off.

Great! That sounds like fun! It was very easy for us. We are trading ours for FP's too.

That sounds like a good one, easy trade off!

We are baking cookies/bars for Habitat for Humanity. They ask for 2 dozen per family member that is applying for a GAD ticket, I figure that was easy enough to do!

if you still feel inclined to save tabs, my son is saving them to make himself some chainmail armor for the Rennaisance Fair. LOL we're hoping he'll get enough since we rarely drink soda especially canned. * usually buy 2 liter size for family

I printed my vouchers we did a movie
sold popcorn candy and movie tickets
we were there less than 4 hours!

Tomorrow my family is making posters for Heifer International and putting them up around town. Only have to make 1 per every 2 family members. Cant' wait. Having a poster making party with friends were going on vacation with. Can't wait!!!!:cool1:

We made blankets for Project Linus. It was one of the few places that accepted 7 years olds. We mailed them off and should be getting our vouchers soon! It was great to involve the kids, and that one had special meaning for us.
Very well worth it, and I am psyched about a day at Disney!:lovestruc

Does anyone know how long it takes to get your vouchers back after mailing them in? We are doing our day in March and going to DW in late June.
Thanks!!

I don't think you need to mail them in, according to their website you should just bring the voucher and proof of ID and Disney will redeem it at their location. :goodvibes

"Once verified, you will receive an email with instructions on how to print a voucher to redeem for the free theme park ticket. Please print the voucher and present it at the designated will call ticket window at Walt Disney World® Resort or a ticket booth at the Disneyland® Resort, along with valid photo ID, to redeem for your free 1-day, 1-theme park ticket. Your voucher for a free ticket to enter one of the Disney Theme Parks may be redeemed through December 15, 2010, and must be redeemed and used on the same day." Give a Day, Get a Day FAQ

I thought it was give a day get a day. That is a great trade off. How many days are the fastpasses good for? ::MickeyMo::MinnieMo:earsboy::earsgirl:

What one is it where youcollect soda can tabs? I can't find many taht don't require a couple hours drive time. I would love to do something I can mail in.

How long are the FastPasses good for?

I have soda tab can you give out that info?
Also does everyone get their own voucher or is it on one paper with everyones name ?

I'd be interested in knowing the zip code to search for the can tab GAD event. My family has done our day of service, but my brothers are having a hard time finding things in their area and this would be a good one for them.

Yeppers, same here. I even have sat down and modified the touring plans to take advantage of the special fastpass with instant ride access! Can't wait!

We only had one real option in our part of the world... the blankets for Project Linus. Sent them off the first of the week, so hope to hear from them in a week or so.

We are collecting personal items for foster care kids. (duffle bags, toothbrushes, trial size shampoo & conditioner, makeup...things a teen girl or boy might want) We have to drop them off on a certain day to get our vouchers for the whole family.
The girls went into school & asked permission of their teachers to collect toothbrushes from other students. I now have about 50 toothbrushes to donate. Someone is going to have clean teeth!
It is easy!

the fastpasses sound good for when we go, it would be nice to not have to wait in line with a 4 year old!!!!! do they work for all of the rides in magic kingdom that normally have fast pass???????????
