TUESDAY 16TH OCTOBER FISHING, TL AND MNSSHP


GirlsonTour Trip Report 11th October 2007 – 25th October 2007
Coronado Springs Resort and Hard Rock Hotel
Andrea – chief planner, chief of money (for this holiday) and generally chief of everything.

Andy – chief provider of money and unwilling participant of this holiday

Kara – chief spender of money and very willing participant of this holiday due to the fact that Mum and Dad were paying.

Lucy – chief of all red heads and chief moaner (especially in hot weather).

Thought I would do this day in 3 separate posts: Andy’s fishing trip from Wilderness Lodge, the girls and I going to TL and then all of us joining up at night for MNSSHP.

I will tell you that in all truthfulness this was probably the beginning of the holiday for Andy and from now on in he became a lot more talkative and relaxed!! More like the family holiday I had envisaged.

ANDY’S FISHING TRIP

I had asked Andy 6 months before the holiday if he wanted to book the fishing trip and he said he wasn’t bothered and then on the 7th October (4 days before leaving) he just dropped it into the conversation that he would really like to go!!!! Phoned up and managed to get the only day where we hadn’t really arranged to do anything. Posted the news on DIS and Shandshal (Sharon) got in touch to say her husband and his friend would like to join Andy. Mini DIS meeting arranged within half an hour!!

They all met up at Wilderness Lodge for the 10am fishing trip. They caught between them about 12 fish, this number obviously increased as the holiday progressed. In fact I think when he retells the story now the numbers stand at about 50!!

Thanks to Sharon for getting in touch and making my husband's day. Andy had paid on the company credit card when i had booked it so Sharon's hubby and friend gave Andy their share of the trip in cash...therefore he now had some $$ of his own

As a little present for Christmas i have had the photo of him with "Jaws" put onto a mouse mat and a mug.

ps Some of you may notice that one of Andy's fingers is missing - i can assure all budding fishermen that it was not done by the bass on Disney premises Accident many years ago with a circular saw

Meanwhile the GirlsonTour original members all made their way; happily I might add, to TL. Did all the usual stuff here. Hot, hot, hot today – which pleased Kara and me …even Lucy, was happy today. She doesn’t seem to notice the heat when she’s in and out of the water. Some great action photopass photo's taken when coming out of the rides...

Got to MK at about 6.30pm thinking that we had done rather a good job of getting dressed up with our pirate t-shirts, Lucy’s rather oddly tied bandana (which resembled a tea towel ) and pirate pins. OMG – we people watched all night. It was fantastic!! If anyone is going in October you must go to MNSSHP.

I had bought some Halloween chocolate from Thornton’s with us: just kiddie ones in the shape of spiders, skeletons and witches. So Lucy decided to give them to children whose outfits we liked the best. We had given all 10 blocks of chocolate out before we even got to Main Street (and luckily Lucy had chosen all America children).

Fireworks were spectacular: sat just on the corner by Casey’s. Hot dogs all round …one of those very special moments.

Watched the parade from FrontierLand...

Left at about 12.30am

loaded down with mostly inedible candy!! (which we later gave to the ladies at PM – they looked thrilled with it?? )

Fell into bed at about 1am Nothing planned for tomorrow but we end up all splitting off...the girls went to MGM and Andy and I go to Epcot.

Really impressive catch of fish, glad Andy enjoyed it but I have to say I'd much rather have been at TL. I agree about the candy being inedible, we brought ours home for the local kids on treat or treat night! Love the Crayola family.

It was mostly horrible!! The kids took out what they liked, tried the rest and if they didn't like it I am afraid the lady at PM got it

Yes, the photopass people were on dry land (!) at the end of most of the rides...I was really pleased with the water park photo's.

No problem, Sharon, he can come and join you straight after he finishes 3 weeks fishing in Ibiza! I was so glad you got in touch about the fishing that day because otherwise we would have had to join Andy.
