SUNDAY 14TH OCTOBER EPCOT AND R&C, ILLUMINATIONS

GirlsonTour Trip Report 11th October 2007 – 25th October 2007
Coronado Springs Resort and Hard Rock Hotel

Andrea – chief planner, chief of money (for this holiday) and generally chief of everything.

Andy – chief provider of money and unwilling participant of this holiday

Kara – chief spender of money and very willing participant of this holiday due to the fact that Mum and Dad were paying.

Lucy – chief of all red heads and chief moaner (especially in hot weather).

Food and Wine Festival at Epcot – something I thought that I was not really into. Don’t drink any alcohol and give me shepherds pie and I am quite happy! Crowds were really out today although we had been forewarned about going to Epcot during the weekend.

Hit the rides first, Nemo ride had very good special effects but was over with too quickly….

Soarin’ and Test Track all under the belt we headed off to the countries.

All the years of going to Epcot and we have only ever headed off to the right and got as far as the chippie in England! Really loved the countries and the food looked fantastic.

Very, very hot today and packed. Made it all the way round to the chippie, had fish & chips and then headed back to the pool.

Back to Epcot at around 6.30pm..

This photopass picture was the first one that the CM had ever taken.

Reservation for R&C was at 7.50pm - we were given a wonderful table outside right next to the lake.

(Bad Hair Day from the back!!)

Food was great and I have read negative reports about the service but we certainly couldn't complain. They have stopped serving the shepherds pie but I asked anyway and the waitress said that there was some left from lunch time….that will do me!

Andy had the steak, Kara the chicken wrap and Lucy had macaroni cheese. The bill came to $112 which we thought was very resonable...back in the resort about 10.30pm.

Buses are still excellent for CSR – not busy, you never have to stand up even after a firework show and never wait longer than about 10 minutes.

Tomorrow: MGM and DTD

Another great trip report Andrea ! (If you'd been a few days later we could have met up - we had our DIS meet at R&C on the 17th) !

lovely day :thumbsup2 I thought the buses to pop from Epcot were abysmal

I have heard that before and when we stayed at CBR they were crowded to the point of being dangerous. I suppose CSR is better for the buses because of it being a conference center.

We thought the CSR buses were really great too even in August :thumbsup2

I love the food in the Rose and Crown and have to have a drink here too.

Fantastic photos:thumbsup2

A lovely day, Andrea. I love Lucy's Piglet tee, so cute.
