I have been to Disney numerous times, and after my Christmas 2007 trip, three girlfriends and I decided that this September, we would be taking a girls trip to Disney-no kinds, no husbands/boyfriends, no kids! We are going down for FD, staying in 2 rooms at Pop, for 8 days. We have 8 day hoppers, and meals are planned.

So, to the point of my post...is there anything in particular you would recommend we do? We range from 45-27, from I'll-ride-anything to queasy-watching-the-merry-go-round. I am determined not to be a tourguide on this trip, doing only the things I like, but 1 girl hasn't been in 15 years, and another was oin a short visit a couple years ago and that's it, so asking for input is limited to them surfing the 'net and trying to find something interesting.

Ideas? TIA!

I feel like I keep recommending this, but I'll say it again--I'd to the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian.

Other than that...I can't think of anything in particular except have fun together. But I have to say that 8 days is a long time--I'd try to go into it making sure everyone understands that we don't have to spend every second together. When my family took a trip together, I made a propsed schedule and sent it out to everyone with the understanding that this was not mandatory. The only time we had to see each other was during the ADRs that we'd gotten. We ended up spending most of time together anyway, but it helped to have the freedom to go do something else without getting anyone's feathers ruffled.

I'm doing a Big Girls Only trip too, six of us! Sept 25-29. All Star Music. Very excited! Eating at all the places I feel like I have to "forego" with kiddos.

We did a girl's trip last year and loved it!

I recommend having everyone write down at least 5 Must See/Do's. This will help you make sure you are not being the Tour Guide.

We enjoyed doing a round of miniture golf. We all golf with varying degrees of skill ( from the can I tee up every shot - to one who may be able to make LPGA ). It was a fun and carefree afternoon with lots of laughs. We did Winter/Summerland but the Fantasia Course is more challenging for those in your party that may be more skilled.

We also liked to close out each evening with a cocktail in the bar. A good way to decompress from the day and talk about our favorite things we did. The bar area at the Pop is smaller but usually you can get a table near the pool.

Thank you for your ideas, and *bump* :yay:

I have asked for everyone's must do items. Two of the girls are doing th Dolphins in Depth tour, and I am looking into the new Walt's Inspiration tour, whic the other girl not doing the Dolphin tour has announced sounds "nerdy"...which is probably is :teacher:

We do have quite a bit of down time/exploring/on your own time figured in at this point, due to the heat mostly. We will have a rental car (two drivers), so I will remind them that we don't need to do every single thing together for 8 days straight. :)

Thanks,
Ress
