Hi everyone! I am planning a girl's weekend trip to New York City this March. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay? I am looking for a clean, nice hotel preferably in or near Times Square. This will be our first trip to NYC. Thanks so much! :goodvibes

A clean nice hotel near Time square is going to cost a fortune. Find one in an outer borough and take the subway in.

I have stayed at the Doubletree Suites in Times Square. It had a bedroom with a double bed or queen and a living room with a pull out couch. I think they have rooms with 2 double beds and the pull out also. You are literally right in the heart of Times Square.

I just checked Hotwire using my March 11-13th(my b-day weekend, lol) and looks like they have some great deals. 3 and 4 stars in Times Square and Midtown East/West for under $200:thumbsup2 If you know your exact dates, I could try to help you figure out what hotels they are. I have gotten some great deals for NYC on Hotwire.

I stayed at the Marriott Marque once...it was fabulous!

The Marriott Marquis is just beautiful and right in the middle of Times Square. There's also a Hilton Garden Inn near Macy's in Herald Square. Rooms are a bit small, but near everything.

In the last two years we've stayed at the Marriott Marquis once and the Doubletree twice. We love the convenience for going to shows. Both are nice hotels. It does help that my DH has Hilton and Marriott points so we usually stay for free. We're planning a trip in March also for my birthday and we'll probably stay 3 nights at the Marriott. We take the train up so it's all really convenient.

There's also a Hilton a couple of blocks over on Avenue of the America's that I've stayed in about 8 years ago. It was pretty nice and an easy walk to Times Square.

Marriott Marquis is great! We have stayed there in the past and it's lovely and right in the heart of TS! :thumbsup2

When I lived in MA, I did many girls weekends to NYC! We saw shows, shopped and eat! So much fun! I told DH if we ever leave CA (which we love) it would only be for NYC!

Oh, we did stay at that Hilton once and it is awesome! It recently (last 5 years) went through renovations and the rooms are just lovely! The beds are so comfortable! If you have Hilton Honors you are allowed in their "concierge" rooms where they have continental breakfast, tea in the afternoon and cheese and crackers in the early evening!
