Girls Trip Revisited-- Final Day (Part 3) -- August 14

So after our ride with our favorite purple dragon, we headed over to Mr. Mark's favorite:

We took the pictures and emailed them to Mr. Mark to make him jealous. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Very kind of you to make sure that Mark got “included” in the trip.
:lmao:

I think we stopped in the shop on the promenade at this point to get Avery her outfit for her Duffy Bear. She hadn't found anything at the Studios she wanted and so I told her I'd get her something there. If I'm not mistaken, she got a Star Wars type outfit after all. :lmao:

Well… if there’s anything that could posibally “salvage” a Duffy Bear…
It would be a Star Wars outfit :rolleyes1

Up next, we visit World Showcase, have some lunch and do something the young girls had never done.

:woohoo: one of my favorite spots at WDW.

And something new you say?
Hummmm. :scratchin

We took the pictures and emailed them to Mr. Mark to make him jealous. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I know the pictures made him smile and want to be there having fun with you guys!

We really enjoy spending time in The Seas watching the sea creatures, reading the informational signs, and taking the quizzes on the computers.

Looking forward to more World Showcase and something new for the girls! :goodvibes

We have never met/seen Figment yet.

But we Love the Nemo ride and the whole area where you get off the ride. My boys could spend hours there. Of course I think Epcot is one of our favorite parks. Looks like you ladies are making the most of your day.:thumbsup2

Your Cape May Breakfast looked like fun.

YAY the living sees !!! It is a great place to cool off a bit.

I am probably due for a Turtle talk soon. It has been a while.

Looking forward to the new thing for the girls.

I tink we wll take the group there in October !!!!

It has been a while since I visited the Living Seas. I think I'm due for a return trip sometime! :thumbsup2 So glad you didn't leave Mark out of all the fun! :rolleyes1

Looks like the girls were having a lot of fun!

I am caught up and so happy I wasn't as far behind as I thought I would be.
How wonderful to have breakfest with Mary Ellen and Denny! I bet that was a lot of fun.
One thing we forget when looking at pictures is just how hot it is there. Summer can be brutal in WDW. But we quickly forget that when we want to go back! :thumbsup2

All caught up here too, now. The photopass pix were so cute. Such a fun trip you all look to be having.

Catching up

I need one of those Dumbos :) and possibly a popcorn holder :)
Heck I just need to see the new fantasyland!
You're so lucky with all your trips to Florida. I can't go anymore because I've nobody to go with me :(

Luvin all the pics and the updates. The new photopass frames are so cool!

Hey Kathy,

subbing on and catching up at same time...:thumbsup2

Your trip report title could have been called "The Cutie Brigade"... so much girlie cuteness to go around...:goodvibes

Isn't it cool how Dis trips can be different based on who you're there with?

Back to read... thank you for provided the handy dandy update links...;)

You got some good shots on Nemo! I can never get good pictures on there between the lighting and movement of the clam-mobile. That's a good picture of the dolphin at the gate too.

Sometimes I get lucky and sometimes I don't. That ride is very fickle for pictures.

Can't wait to hear what you did that was a first for the girls!

I couldn't believe it when we did it that they'd never done it.

Ugh - it WAS so hot that day! I think that's why we decided to leave and go shopping. By 3:30pm it was perfect out!

Cute pics!

I think THAT day ended up being the hottest or most humid of the trip. It was brutal...and I love hot and humid. :scared1:

Cool pix of The Seas !!! Last October the group really enjoyed all the tanks and we spent at least an hour looking at them!!!

It amazes me how fascinated the kids all are with looking at the aquariums and never wanting to leave.

YAY the living Seas !!! It is a great place to cool off a bit.

It sure is; I just wish they'd add some benches for us old folks.

I am probably due for a Turtle talk soon. It has been a while.

I can't believe up until a year ago I had never seen the show.

Looking forward to the new thing for the girls.

Coming up soon.

I love the living seas with Nemo! And it is a nice cool place for really hot days like that. I also love what they did with the Monsters University topiary! I really want to get there one year during the Flower and Garden Festival so I can see all of that amazing work first hand.

We went for one day only to F&G in April, and I can't wait to go back and spend a couple of days there for it...as I know we missed a lot. It was beautiful.

I love Nemo too.

Lovin' your TR...thanks for sharing. Can't wait to read the rest. We did a trip in Jan and DH and I are doing F&W sans kiddos in Oct and then we have a big family (my inlaws) trip in Dec. Making use of the PAPs we got for this year. Sounds like you are doing the same. Congrats on the new "daughter" and have a great upcoming Anniversary trip. And maybe you will be buying cute little baby Disney souvenirs on your 2014 girls trip for a sweet little grand baby.

:welcome::welcome: Thank you for joining and reading. Yes, we are trying to get as many uses out of those AP's as possible. And I'll be buying a new one in December now that we've planned a girls' trip for next May/June. It would be wonderful to buy some baby Disney souvenirs next year.

Very kind of you to make sure that Mark got “included” in the trip.
:lmao:

I had to let him know that we loved him and missed him. ;)

Well… if there’s anything that could posibally “salvage” a Duffy Bear…
It would be a Star Wars outfit :rolleyes1

I have to agree with you on that one. I just don't get that whole Duffy Bear fascination.

:woohoo: one of my favorite spots at WDW.

I'm with you...I could spend days in World Showcase.

And something new you say?
Hummmm. :scratchin

Yes, new for them. And considering how many times they've been the last couple of years, I was surprised.

What a beautiful and sunny day! I bet it was hot though, yes?

Ann, it was a beautiful, sunny day, but extremely hot!

I know the pictures made him smile and want to be there having fun with you guys!

I haven't told him yet, but not only will Mary and the girls be there with us in December, but Heather and her two girls will be coming down for a couple of days so he gets to meet them.

We really enjoy spending time in The Seas watching the sea creatures, reading the informational signs, and taking the quizzes on the computers.

We always seem to forget those quizzes; I'll ahve to remind Avery of that in December.

Looking forward to more World Showcase and something new for the girls! :goodvibes

Coming up soon.

You leave him home and then you taunt him???? Not cool. :rolleyes1

I wasn't taunting him; I wanted him to know we were thinking of him and loved him and missed him. :rolleyes1

That's the attitude to have at Disney World. :thumbsup2

We aren't newbies, and we know how to take the chill off and fight on.
Great pictures! Nemo is a neat attraction; always a fun one.

Great pictures! Nemo is a neat attraction; always a fun one.

Thank you; I always love that entire area.

Great pics! :goodvibes

Thank you. :)

We have never met/seen Figment yet.

I hope you see it before it closes (or that they bring it back).

But we Love the Nemo ride and the whole area where you get off the ride. My boys could spend hours there. Of course I think Epcot is one of our favorite parks. Looks like you ladies are making the most of your day.:thumbsup2

My boys were like that too...they LOVED Epcot, sometimes more than the MK.

Your Cape May Breakfast looked like fun.

It was a fun breakfast with good people.

It has been a while since I visited the Living Seas. I think I'm due for a return trip sometime! :thumbsup2 So glad you didn't leave Mark out of all the fun! :rolleyes1

I would never leave Mark out. Okay, that was a lie. :lmao::lmao:

Looks like the girls were having a lot of fun!

I believe they did. :goodvibes

I am caught up and so happy I wasn't as far behind as I thought I would be.

Trust me, you couldn't be as far behind as me.

How wonderful to have breakfest with Mary Ellen and Denny! I bet that was a lot of fun.

It was great meeting them, and we had a good visit.

One thing we forget when looking at pictures is just how hot it is there. Summer can be brutal in WDW. But we quickly forget that when we want to go back! :thumbsup2

Yes, it can. But I love hot weather and humid (probably why we are moving to Florida); but it was really brutal that day. But drinking lots of water and keeping your head covered goes a long way to making it bearable.

And obviously it didn't bother us that much that Mary suggested a return late May early June next year.

All caught up here too, now. The photopass pix were so cute. Such a fun trip you all look to be having.

Thanks, Linda. I was delighted with the photopass pics! And I always have a good time with my girls.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: So cruel! I love it.

I knew YOU would!

...said the Cubs fan. :rotfl2:

Just a minute there. I don't think your baseball team has been having the best of years either; and our football team did a little better than yours. And whose hockey team brought Lord Stanely home AGAIN?

I think they wore them at our school's Geography Day last year to show off where they've been.:thumbsup2

How cool is that. :thumbsup2

Catching up

Good to see you.

I need one of those Dumbos :) and possibly a popcorn holder :)

I think I may get Mark one of those pillows next week. :)

Heck I just need to see the new fantasyland!
You're so lucky with all your trips to Florida. I can't go anymore because I've nobody to go with me :(

Can't you find a friend to go with you? I wish you could come; maybe after they finish the Mine ride you'll be able to find someone to go with you.

Luvin all the pics and the updates. The new photopass frames are so cool!

Thank you.

Hey Kathy,

Patricia, it is so good to see you...I've missed youa round here.

My oh my...that would have been an awesome title...because there was a lot of cuteness on that trip.

It's truly amazing how different the trip is depending on who you are with.

I'm sorry it's been a week since my last update. As I explained in my PTR, we had an issue arise with my mother this weekend and I've been dealing with it most of the week.

Anyway, when I last left you, we had just stopped to buy a Duffy outfit for Avery and were on our way to World Showcase:

We all decided we were hungry, so we went to the Liberty Inn for some lunch:

Then after lunch the girls wanted to get The American Dream:

(Frozen Strawberry, Vanilla Ice Cream and Frozen Blue Raspberry).

It ended up they didn't really care for it all that much after a certain point.

We were still all very hot so decided to do one more thing before we headed back to the BCV for a rest.

We went to France to see a movie. I couldn't believe that the girls had never seen one of the films. Since you can sit through this one, we figured this was our best bet. Waiting for the next showing:

Our fastpasses for Soarin' weren't until 4:30 and we were hot, sweaty and needed a break. So we gave them away. Let me tell you that we had the most ungrateful jerks ever that we gave the fastpasses to. I almost ripped them right back out of their hands.

We then walked back to the BCV (best part of staying there...the walk back to our resort). Since the girls did not care for their American Dream, dessert was in order:

We went up to the room and you'll never guess what happened. The skies opened up on us. It poured for quite a bit. The girls played on their Ipads, I did a little packing, Mary did some laundry and we rested. Mary called Judy and we decided to head back to Epcot since it was by then just a steady drizzle. So off we went. And this is what we encountered when we got back to Epcot:

Yep, more rain. :sad2: But it was extra magic hours and we were on a mission.

Of course, the kids needed to be fed, so we stopped for some lunch. Where might you ask? Well, back at Liberty Inn because there were tables available, it was inside and the kids had seen something at the Fife & Drum when getting their American Dream that they wanted for dinner.

It had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, juice, grapes and maybe one other thing...carrots?...inside. The kids all loved them. Mary and I just got food at Liberty Inn again and Judy and Ryan went in search of other stuff (I think Ryan brought Sushi back).

By now, the rain had stopped and we started on our way. First stop for me, was a cup of this:

We spent a lot of time here

while Mary and Ryan went into the Caramel shop to get some goodies.

Continued in next post

After watching the train go around for awhile and Mary and Ryan back with their treats, we started moving along further in World Showcase.

Kids shopping:

Cameron playing an instrument:

Avery making Mr. Mark proud:

Such a beautiful view (can't wait to see it next week):

More music playing:

We stopped in Mexico to see what Donald was up to. But before we did, we had to stop for Mr. Mark yet again:

Then it was time for Donald:

We headed back to Future World. While Ryan took Sam on Mission, we took the other kids on Spaceship Earth:

After our journey on Spaceship Earth, we decided to do the Land.

By now, the kids were dragging. It had been a very hot morning and early afternoon and it was time to head back to the resort. Ryan and Sam had left after Mission as Sam was falling asleep walking.

Up next, my last day at the World with the girls
