Though I'm confused to the order of things now as well...oh my that rain!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow. We've had that happen but I've never gotten such a neat picture of it.

Sorry you didn't love the BCV. I have to admit, I didn't love it as much as I thought I might either. I adore the YC and BWV but the villas themselves at BCV didn't do much for me. I do really like their quiet pool though, a lot!

They did have cappuccinos at the YC at the lobby bar, but you really need to start making it in the room Kathy

Looks like you are having a great trip now and how sweet that Mary and the girls have invited you back for next years girls trip too.

Great wrap up for your trip! It really looks like you had a wonderful time with the girls. I'm sorry that you didn't like your meal at Tony's - did you try something new this time or was it a disappointing old favourite? I like your honest input about BCV as well, it is very helpful to read!

I just starting to get caught up Kathy, and I am so sorry about Cookie, but it gave me such a good laugh that I needed too. How cute does she look with the cone of shame and the little pink looking doggie tail cast?
I hope she is recovering quickly. At least Paige never had to wear a cone of shame though!

Kathy, you sound like your opinion of BCV is like mine. It was OK, but not a place I would rush back too. The buses are horrid in my opinion.

A quick recap: We all had a blast, despite the "slowness" of part of the trip. I gather Mary and the girls don't mind me tagging along since I've been invited back for next year in late May/early June. I was not overly in love with the Beach Club Villas. Had we had better bus service, friendlier CM's and cappucinos, I might have felt differently; but I am in no hurry to return (we love OKW and AKL and would choose those every time over BCV). It was hot and it was crowded, but if had been just the four of us (or the four of us with Heather and her girls), we could have gotten more done as we know how to tour the parks, etc.

Loved our Be Our Guest meal, wasn't happy with Tony's.


Thanks for reading along and posting. I'm glad I was able to finish this before I leave. I hope you'll all follow the next TR when I get back. I'll probably start it a week or so after Labor Day once I get caught up at work, etc.

Poor Cookie- that sounds like it was some extra stress that you didn't need.

Fun day at the MK!

Yes it was.

I love the face painting- what I can see and the peeks on the hidden face.

The kids really enjoyed having this done.

Great times enjoying some classics- Peter Pan, Buzz, Pirates and Big Thunder.

It's always great to visit the classics.

Sorry the meal at Tony's didn't blow you away. We almost ate there once, but cancelled because my son wasn't feeling well (and that was before the meal)

Oh my goodness that is A LOT of rain!

The most rain I've ever had...well at least until our August trip.

Tony's is so hit or miss.... I have had really good meals there that have made me go back only to have a really bad one. Doesn't make sense to me how the food can be soooo good one time and soooo bad then next.

I don't get it, unless there is a complete cook turnaround often.

So sorry about Cookie, that poor girl has had a tough go lately. She did not look at all thrilled in the picture with the cone around her head and a bandaged tail. I feel for Mark as well; I'm sure he was a wreck the entire time you were heading to the vet's.

She truly has; now her mouth is bleeding on occasion from her tumor.

I agree with you about Tony's, I did not care for my only visit there a few years ago. It was so bad I will not give it another try. I look forward to hopefully another TR when you get back from your visit to WDW in a couple of days. Be safe and have fun my friend.

Seems to be a common review of Tony's. Although I'd still like to eat there sometime just to check it out.

It's funny, I've read rave reviews and really bad reviews.

Nothing tastes as good as Disney candy.

Well, it isn't exactly fun to be caught in a downpour, but that is a really cool picture. Main Street looks like a ghost town.

It was kind of spooky with the thunder and lightening. And it was a ghost town.

Oh no! Sorry Tony's was less than appetizing. I'm due to a sucky meal there anytime now since I've been lucky so far. (That or my definition of tasty is different than others!)

Mark and I have eaten there twice, once it was good, once it was not. I'll stick with Mama Melrose from now on.

She loved the extra attention (as if she doesn't get enough as it is) And ark did feel awful.

I love rain but when it looks like in your photo at MK that can be a plan changer!

It did mess our plans and new ones had to be made.

Two of my favorites.

With the face paint, and her eyes looking like that with the white, Cayley looks like a totally different person............and much older!

If you saw her 7 year birthday picture, you'd see just how grown up she is getting.

Love this picture and the excited smile on Avery's face being with Ms. Kat!!!

It's one of my favorite pictures of the trip.

I have thought about trying Tony's so many times, and then I remember all of the hit and miss reviews I see on the DIS and I decide maybe I will try it "another time."

I'd skip it all together.

What better way to forget about a disappointing meal than with a trip to the candy shop............either that or dessert!

Too bad Starbucks wasn't open yet.

That was so lucky that we ran into each other again. On a whim I decided to text Anita to see if they were around and fortunately they were, so Denny and I headed over to say "hello".

I was wondering if you would be heading back again next year. I honestly knew that June was going to be hot, so for some reason it didn't bother me that much this year. As long as it cools down some in the evening I am usually OK.

Yep, looks like we'll be back the 28th or 29th of May to June 5 or 6.

Sorry you didn't love BCV. I was surprised that I didn't love it as much as I thought I would, but I have only stayed there once. I found I like the BWV better. Hope you get a chance to stay there at some point.

It wasn't horrible, but if I were to rate all of the resorts I've stayed at, they'd be in this order: AKL/Kidani and OKW tied for #1, CSR, Poly, Dolphin Beach Club, Contemporary, All Star Music and All Star Sports. I'm curious to see where Boardwalk Villas falls in that list (as long as I stay away from the pool) when we stay there in December.

I certainly understand your love for OKW. I tried to get it for a couple days in October, but it is totally booked. No shock there.

OKW is a great resort.

Loved this report. So jealous of all your trips....I am lucky o go every year or two. But we do love Disney. Sorry you had a bad meal at Tony...I have always liked it there. Loved the final days.
I was a little disappointed at BC this year, myself. Haven't started a TR yet. Stuck on the title. But I will probably get one started shortly (just in time for my return-which I am anxiously awaiting). Still love how close the resort is to everything, but the CMs weren't nearly as nice for us either. And the resort was starting to look really worn. And maybe it had something to do with our non-view. I just didn't have the same "I love it" vibe that I did in 2008.

Have you started that TR? I don't recall seeing it. I didn't hate BC, just wasn't gaga over it like a lot of people are.

I hate the cutting in lines. I want to hurt the person. LOL. Line rage I guess.

Hi, Molly...you are here, and even Tim showed up on my new TR unlike you know who.

Cookie! Sweet baby! Oh how awful! Mark must have felt terrible, even though it was clearly an accident. I don't foresee dog grooming in his future though. I'm the one in charge of cutting our little dog's nails and one time I cut too close to the quick and it bled like you wouldn't believe. I felt so badly about it and now I cringe every time I trim her nails!

We won't even attempt her nails...she'd have no paws left. Definitely no dog grooming for hubby. I bet your little dog got extra hugs and kisses that day.

Love the out of order updates Kathy! It looks like a great trip, despite the deluge here and there. Those little girlies are too cute and it's so nice that you get to spend trips with them.

It was a great trip, and those girls just warm my heart.

Swimming is pretty much how end our trips too. Sorry Tony's was a disappointment though. I've heard mixed reviews but have yet to try it. Why didn't you eat at the Plaza again??

We had eaten at the Plaza earlier in the trip and everyone wanted something different that meal.

Thank you, and thanks for reading. I love my girls. I had something new at Tony's. The calamari was good though. I try to be honest in all of my resort reviews. I know everyone doesn't love the same resorts and that's why there is such a wide selection at Disney.

She did look cute with her pink bandage (it wasn't a cast). It came off two days later and luckily has healed nicely.
