Just want to add something about the hunt. All teams need to have their 'costumes' with them at the castle photo shoot. There won't be time to run to a locker. I think we need to take team pictures at Village Haus. It will take a few minutes for the teams to get their gear on and we probably shouldn't hold up the castle photographer.

OKay, I will make a note of that. And I agree about taking them at or near Village Haus. We can find a suitable area over there.

I was thinking about the timeline while I was adding it to the front page. It's really tight. Everyone is going to have to be on the ball and ready to go that morning or there's no way it will flow the way the committee has planned.
I wonder what time the parks open that day.....

Why, TIE-DYE, of course! :rainbow::rainbow::rainbow: :rotfl2:

No, no stop! You'll give me nightmares!

And.....you better not let Capri see that.... :rolleyes1 popcorn::

I think the park will open at 8 if they have the same hours as this year, it will also be an EE day so we could possibly get in there at 7.

Well, if it does open at 8, then hunt committee, you might want to think about starting the time line earlier.

The half and hour between 8:30 and 9:00 is not a lot of time to get 40+ women accounted for, in proper placement in front of the castle, take a few photos, do the mother/daughter photo, make our way to Village Haus, adorn our hunt accessories, take team photos, go over the hunt rules, pass out packets, and be off and running.

Unless by the 9 a.m. start time you mean that is when you start going over the rules and passing out the packets, and not actually beginning to work on them? :confused3

Either way, it's just a something to consider. I'm sure the committee took all this into account during their meeting. I just want to make sure it all flows smoothly. :flower3:

Good morning, ladies! Happy Hump Day!

Okay, this is what I think. Timing here will be tight, but doable. Everyone needs to make sure they are on time that morning. I do think the mother/daughter photos should be done first. That is a much smaller group, and therefore easier to manage. We can get that photo set up and done with fairly quickly. So anyone wanting to be in the mother/daughter photo will have to make extra sure they are on time.
While that is happening, we can start getting everyone together for the group photo, and take a few of those.

Where do you want the team photos to be? Right there in front of the castle while we are there? Or over by the starting point at Village Haus? Either one would work. We just need to make that decision ahead of time.

I will add all that info and times schedule to the front page now.
Thanks Beth! :goodvibes

Like Trudi said, we will take pics at the Village Haus. I am hoping to have Jess take pictures of the teams, as they are ready to go. :cool2:

The time might be a bit tight, but we discussed that if we made it any earlier, we might have mutiny on our hands. LOL

We just really need to stress to please be ON TIME!! :thumbsup2

OK, I just happened to read your next post.

We kind of have it set, that the whole welcome and hunt instructions would officially start at 9:00am. But.....and that is a big but...if we can get that photo done in a timely manner, and everyone is already gathered around before 9:00, then we will start right away.

How about we ask the Moms and DDs to meet up at 8:15 for their photo? Then, we can take the group pic at 8:30!

Be there or be square!!! :snooty:

I added the exchange link to the front page.
And I thought while I was at it, I'd double check this list for those going in October and see if there's been any changes? Anyone need to be added? Or removed? :confused3

OKay, that seems more doable. If you are planning to start the welcome/instructions at 9:00 that's different. I thought the actual hunt, as in take off running, was supposed to start at 9:00 which seemed a tad over ambitious. :rotfl:

I think asking the mothers and daughters to arrive a little earlier, at 8:15 or even 8:20, should be fine. It's only a few minutes earlier but it will help ease the time crunch. ::yes::

And yes, be there or be square..... in other words.... miss out on the photo. :rolleyes1 lol

:sad1: But, but, but..... I will be sad.
Unless of course..... I'll see you in Vegas! :rolleyes1

Hi Miss Sarah!! :yay:

Ooooh, lookie. Steph brought presents and cake. :thumbsup2 I hope it's vanilla with a raspberry filling. Yes, that's my favorite and yes, I'm being selfish by hoping it's a flavor I like. ;) Happy Birthday, Capri!! I said it on Facebook, but heck, I like you, so I'll say it again.

I am so lost on what to wear. I desperately need a hint or two.
Why, TIE-DYE, of course! :rainbow::rainbow::rainbow: :rotfl2:
Two questions from the newbie DIVA:

1. What's the deal with what to wear to the M&G? Is there a theme to dress for or something??? I was just going to wear something in the color of the day...?

2. What's the kerfuffle over tie-dye? :lmao:

From the 1st page:
~What to wear ~ Flapper dresses, swing dresses, any villain costume, something spooky or haunted mansion themed. Get creative!

~Exchange ~ Villain themed - That means anything and everything villains!
It can be a tote bag, a hat, a blanket, a picture frame, a photo album, etc.
The suggested dollar amount to spend is approximately $25.
Remember participation in the exchanges is completely voluntary. Have fun with it!

About tie-dye, some of us like it more than others!! Much more!!!

Another newbie question- What does woogio mean?

That was one of us divas mistyping Woohoo in a text message and it just got picked up as another word for Woohoo!!

Hi Michelle! :)

1.) The Meet and Greet always has a theme. And we try to wear something that falls within that theme. One year it was a slumber party theme so we all wore our pajamas. Another year it was a luau theme so everyone wore something Hawaiian.

This year, the theme is a sort of a spooky, villains theme mixed with an old, haunted Hollywood theme. Think the villains meet Tower of Terror. ;) So I think the confusion, at least in my case, is whether to wear something villain related, or something old Hollywood, like a flapper dress. Or just something generally spooky like the creepy bride in the Haunted Mansion.

Any of those would work. Or if all else fails, you can wear a spooky, villain t-shirt. I was just commenting that I was confused because I couldn't decide which route to take! LOL
Hope that helps.

2.) About the tie dye.....well, hmmm. I think part of it is really just good-natured joking. We wore it one year, and not everyone was a fan. I think it takes a special person to be able to pull off the really bright, bold tie dye, and some of us don't want to revisit that image. :rotfl:
Although it looked great in our group photo in Pixie Hollow. But it's more of a been there, done that thing for some. ;)

:rotfl2:

Ahem......well, hopefully she doesn't mind me answering this since I think it's been posted before on Facebook, but that word is actually a Heather/LittleBlackRaincloud original. ::yes::
It all started when she and a couple other Divas came out to Vegas in February. We were out late one night, had a .... few.... drinks, and she was trying to post a photo on Facebook with the caption "Woohoo".

It didn't work out so well, and it ended up as "Woogio". We liked that better, and it's just stuck ever since then, and has been adopted by a lot of the Divas as the excited phrase of choice.
Woogio!!!!

Tie dye is evil, of course. I support teal t-shirts! Haha. Insert button here, except I'm too lazy to go find it right now. I should make more.

How the HECK did I miss that?!

Ahhhh... I admit I'm a recent fan of tie-dye, but more of the tone-on-tone type than ALL the colors of the :rainbow:.

I must say, it has made for very entertaining reading!
