I am teaching Jabberwocky this week - I love this silly poem. When I learned it as a senior I remember seeing some funny illustrations about it. Anyone have a clue? I have searched youtube and come short. The Johnny Depp version is different and shorter than the original poem so I won't be showing that in class.

It's been a cruddy day for me. I had a panic attack at work which just left me drained for the rest of the day. Trying to make up for it with some hockey, a drink, and some friends.

Katie, how did your weekend go? Was Devon's girlfriend just over the moon with her birthday surprises??

She had a great time! And was thrilled with all the surprises. She kept saying it was the best birthday ever since she never gets anything. It poured rain yesterday until about 1pm, but the parks were DEAD! So needless to say we got to do a ton of rides.

And Laila is turning into the little park commando. She kept waking up everyone early in the morning saying "time to go to Disneyland" and in the pouring rain, she made me ride Dumbo 3 times in a row (not fun for mama). Then she had the nerve to get mad at me because when we went on the Mickey Wheel, we were in a gondola that didn't swing. She started shaking the cage yelling "why aren't we swinging!" LOL.

Over the weekend I realized that I don't have a lime green shirt! Well, technically I do. The one I wore on the 2009 Diva trip, but um, it's about 3 sizes too small now. So when I was out running errands, I was also searching for one with no luck.
Is lime green out of style now? For awhile it seemed like that color was all over. I might have to be a rebel and wear blue or something else if I don't have any luck between now and the trip.

What would make this story better is if a neighbor was spying on you, saw the body, and called the police... No officer, he was already dead when we brought him here...

That would be hilarious.

For anyone that's going to be in the parks on Thursday or Friday, I have a few immediate boarding Fastpasses. So if I see you anyone, you can have them. Most of the rides that I ride with Laila don't have Fastpass so they're not much use to me. I think they expire on Sunday.

I agree with Carol and Trudi! We need a group Billy show! Might be a challenge to squeeze it in there, but I'm fine with anytime. Let me know what works best for everyone and we can add it to the list.

Ummm....me either! I hate the swinging gondola's! I thought I was outsmarting her by going in the non-swinging gondola, but she caught on pretty quick .

I'll check it out. It's hard for me to shop online. It's hard to find a big enough size, and also to find the right fit. But, you never know.

That's pretty funny. I haven't ridden it because I'm a chicken, but I love seeing views from up high, just not that way. I prefer a view from a villa window.

I like the idea of doing the show after the hunt/lunch. That seems like the best time. What does everyone else think? And are we still going to do the POTC ride? (I want to!) After or before the show?

Good luck finding one! That's where we put him, in our graveyard. At night, with the green spot lights, and the fog, he looks so freakin awesome!! Maybe this time of year you can find one on clearance somewhere.
