My best friend is planning and PAYING for a Girls Only Disney Trip for October 2005 for 7 nights and I told her that I am "so there"!!! It will be myself (41), my sister (35), my best friend (41), her sister (45) and my other best friend (41) and her sister (37). There will only be six of us going so she is planning on booking three rooms at one of the Disney hotels. She knows I'm the planning nut for all of our trips near and far but she wants to give it a Disney try this time (with a little help from me). She asked me which hotel will be the best for six female adults and I have no clue because my first time on-site will be at the Poly in Sept. 2005 with my family.

I told her that we are definitely doing MK, AK and Epcot but we will only be doing the parks on three of the seven days and only staying half days. The group expressed that they want to see what Disney has to offer other than just the amusement parks so we will want to take advantage of the spa at GF, do a few tours and whatever else she digs up in her research.

Note: Only my sister and I have been to Disney World numerous times with our children so we have no clue what adults do and the rest have never been (one set of sisters is coming from Florence, Italy and the other set from London).

1. Can you guys recommend a few hotels for us on-site and why it will be good for a group like us to stay there?

2. Also, I've never been to PI either and I was wondering which places it is best to go for our age group. If not, we'll just skip it and go to the House of Blues.

3. I also need to know which restaurants will suit us if we decide to dine at Epcot with an adult type atmosphere. We all agreed we don't want to do Mexico or Germany.

We love to site see and most of the group loves coasters. Any info will be appreciated. I'm psyched! :)

I've always envisioned a 40th girls trip for a particular Disney fanatic friend, and always thought we'd say at the Swan/Dolphin. It's close to the Boardwalk for nightime entertainment, and has a great and expansive pool area. Also, they offer a AAA discount. Finally, if you decide to make Epcot into a pub crawl, as we will, you can walk home.

I guess, though I've never stayed there, the BCYC would offer the same and some would argue more Disney perks.

We've thought the transportation has been great. MGM is a boatride (really? AK not MGM? Are you animal enthusiasts? My girls would prefer MGM) away, Epcot is a walk, and MK and AK are both very easy bus rides.

Whatever you decide, have a great time! I'm envious.

:cool1: Wow a Paid trip to WDW! It can't get much better than that!
This is some ways off but i would like to go there for my 50th ( in 5 years) and stay on the Boardwalk, at the Beach Club. I don't have any tips to give you, but sure will be waiting to hear what types you get. I was to WDW this past August. Hope to make it there in Dec. 2006 with my sister and possibly one of my nieces. We are thinking the Polynesian. I guess it depends on how much your friend is willing to spend? Is she paying just for room or food as well? Since you have been yourself many times you probably have some great ideas already. It sounds like much fun! :goodvibes ::yes::

Yes, my best friend is a dream. She's paying for it all. From the airplane tickets, to the Disney tickets, all the meals including snacks, transfers, all activities and three gifts each. I'm excited because I don't have to spend any money this time. :)

Just a suggestion, but if I was traveling with my friends I would love to stay in a 2-bedroom villa at the Beach Club. This way we could all be together without being on top of each other. I agree with the above poster that this area is the best for night outings to Epcot or the boardwalk. You could rent points from a DVC member and it would cost far less than 3 rooms at a deluxe.

I have done a couple of trips with 5 of my friends. Unfortunately none of them have ever offered to pay....But still I do have some experience in planning a trip for 6 females. The more bathrooms you have, the better. As a group, we have stayed at the Ft. Wilderness cabins (1 bathroom - not reccommended for 6 girls under 25), 2 rooms at Polynesian, a 2 Br suite at AKL (the best room ever! We had 1 King, 2 queens, a queen size pullout couch and 2.5 bathrooms. We were in heaven!!), 2 rooms at POFQ, and at All-Star Music. Not sure on how much your friend is planning on spending or how many rooms you want, so really there is a vast range to choose from.

As for Epcot, you have a few nicer restaurants to choose from. Dining Page. Almost every country has a nicer sit down restaurant.

Hope this helps some

I've done 3 girl's trips.
The first was at WL, we bunked up 2 or 3 to a room, splitting cost with an AP discount. Most of the trip was spent at MK & lobby sitting in WL is fantastic.

Second girls trip was at the Dolphin - GREAT location for a friends trip. We shared a suite. Perfect for late nights at Jellyrolls & Kimonos.

Last girls trip was at the Grand Floridian. We were there for an event that took place at MK & GF, so it was a great location. This also worked out great for the F&WF, being on the monorail.

Each resort was perfect for a gals trip. Each offered great amenities to enjoy when we weren't at the Parks, yet all had easy access to the Parks. IMHO, any resort aside from the values will be great. I really recommend a Deluxe for an adult trip, but I can easily see having just as wonderful a time at say CSR... It will be what you make it, and I assume it will be great because of the people you are going with.
