I just got home a little while ago, and although it was a VERY long day, my mom's surgery went very well. She seemed to be fairly comfortable when I left the hospital this evening. She was having problems all day with some type of gasping reflex everytime she dozed off.....she would just fall asleep and then 30 seconds later she'd wake up gasping for air. She did this all afternoon. So the nurse gave her some oxygen before I left, and it seemed to help. I'll be up again early tomorrow morning so I can be at the hospital around 7:30am. She should be released sometime tomorrow afternoon, and then I'll take her home and get her settled.

Boy, I must be getting old because I'm completely tuckered out tonight.



Yeah, we have another awesome babe coming on our trip!!!

Hi Capri, I'm glad to hear it went well. That's good news. I bet she'll be happy to be back home in her own bed. And you are not getting old. It's hard to be a care giver, even if only for a short while.

I will also be at DL this Saturday, NO rain!!! I know it makes the parks not so busy, but I absolutely hate it! That's why I live in AZ!!

Speaking of AZ, is there anyone going from the Phoenix area who would like to carpool? I would love to share gas expenses with others. I would like to go on Thursday, by noon, and come back on Monday, but I'm pretty flexible. Just don't want to miss out on any of the fun!!

I would also really like to do a Segway tour. Is anyone else interested? Should I step up and plan it? Maybe on Sunday morning, before breakfast at Minnie's? It's $99, but we can get a 20% discount. It starts at 7:30am, for 3 about hours.

I've updated the Photopass post, #1717, with everyone who has PM'd me so far. We can add people right up to the end; once we get there, everyone can pay me for it. I'll have the amount figured out and let everyone know before we go.

But you know ladies, this is our splurge time!! If you want to take both tours, I say go for it. No matter what the trip will still come out cheaper then if you were paying for the whole entire family to be there, and you can do so many things that you normally couldn't with the kiddos along.

I hope this morning has treated you well. I woke up this morning very sick. I have the flu (or at least I think that is what it is). I am just laying in bed with my DH's laptop.

I got a call this morning and I did not get the job at the school that I interviewed at. They ended up rehiring someone who had worked there previously. It is ok...the job did not pay much anyway. I do have an interview on the 29th for T-Mobile. Looking for a job bites. I can't wait until I find something that gets me through school and pays the bills.

Capri-I am glad that your mom is well. I am still thinking of you all!

The hat is an integral part of my DL ensemble, I burn very easily! Might as well introduce myself WITH the hat since that is what everyone will see on the trip

Stacie, I really wanted to do the Segway tour, but unfortunately, it looks like this is going to be a major budget trip for me (if I get to go at all). Dh's clients just aren't paying right now, so things are getting way too tight for two Disney trips this spring.

So I'm probably going to have really limit my spending (1 tour -- the cheap VIP one; 1 meal with the ladies -- no Yambukki for me ; 1 t-shirt, etc.). I'm not really worried about it, I'll just be happy to be at DL with y'all.

I have done this tour and it is really fun! I've also done the Epcot segway tour twice and the off road Fort Wilderness tour! I LOVE segways! You get some yummy fruit & muffins, juice &coffee in the DCA VIP lounge before hand, then your guides teach you how to operate your segway, then you are off on a tour of the park, learning little facts along the way. It is prior to park opening, so no need to worry about squashing guests! We also got a pin and a nice 5x7 photo.
