I'm switching over to HOJO (which probably isn't a big surprise to everyone).:goodvibes

I'm sorry, but after the runaround by Nick (manager of somekind at the CCI), and his simple lack of courtesy to even make a return call to Beth, and the strict stipulation put on us to even get a group rate (15 rooms = group rate; 14 rooms = sorry, too bad, so sad, no group rate for you), I really have no problem cancelling my reservation at the CCI.

On the other hand, the HOJO cares about us and it's customers. Through the years someone from the HOJO has been on the boards to respond to any questions or concerns. I've also seen them respond on Tripadvisor. I didn't even ask Lorealle to do this. She did it all on her own (being the thoughful person she is) and asked Willie if they could offer us a group rate for our trip. And there wasn't any "minimum number of rooms must be booked" for us to get the $74 rate. If only one of us stay there, or if all of us stay there, the rate is $74.:thumbsup2

Plus, it's going to save me and my friend about $150 ($75 each). So we'll make coffee in the room (free), we'll buy some muffins, bananas, juice ($10). The left over savings of $140 ($70 each) will go towards our VIP tour ($30 each), and that leaves $40 each to spend on lunch at the BB and a few snacks in the parks.:thumbsup2

Boy, do we think alike! :thumbsup2

It won't make a lick of difference to me about the breakfast. We're going to Goofy's for one of them. I'm thinking about going to Minnie's for one (though haven't heard a desire to join me from anyone else, so not sure.) The kind of breakfast you get at hotels is typically the same thing you could bring with you if you have a fridge. For those of you flying in, I can help get groceries (PM me) or I'd be willing to take a grocery store run with a few people if they need it (I'll have a mini-van). So, I guess the idea of spending about $30 more per day for a continental breakfast that I'd only really take advantage of one or two of the days is pretty much a no-brainer for me. Luckily my roommate agrees!
Plus, it gives me a really good excuse to splurge on something in the parks!

Hi, there! I am interested in Minnie's. :thumbsup2 The food looks good and I heard it was a lot of fun. Maybe we can have Beth put it on the first post and see who else is interested.

I may have to hit you up on the grocery stop. Beth and I are roomies and I know she needs her Diet Pepsi. It is really sweet of you to offer to do that! I will PM you after I get with Beth to get a list going.:flower3:

Now that is a good offer! :)

VIP tour: assuming DH doesn't stamp his feet and hide the bank accounts from me, thereby making it impossible for me to go on the trip itself, I'll go on the tour. I guess that still makes me a maybe, though, and that's not fun.

HoJo sounds good. After Lorealle replied to me in the bit HoJo thread and knew that I was part of *this* thread, I had a funny feeling they were going to be throwing a group rate at us. Actually after seeing her reply I went immediately to their website to see if there was an entertainment rate (no), and what the 20% AP rate would be (with taxes it came in at almost exactly 100). Then I checked here a few hours later and bingo, group rate.

I mean, think about it, they are reading of all these people going to one of their competitors! Why wouldn't they want to lure us over? :upsidedow

Gotta start seriously looking at the budgeting for this trip...

Hey guys...

I just about to pencil in this trip on my new calendar and I realized that the 27th is Easter!:scared1: I'm not going to be able to go.

I was thinking "wow that's late". Now I'm not a big expert on easter, so I went searching.

• March 23 - Easter Sunday (Western)
• April 27 - Easter Sunday (Orthodox)

There are TWO Easters? Very confusing.

But more chocolate eggs for me. :)

Nevermind!! :rotfl2: I'm an idiot! What is the differance from Easter to Eastern Orthodox Easter?

About.com...

"How is Greek Easter calculated?" This is the fun one - the day is governed by these three main conditions:

* It must be based on the Julian calendar, not the Gregorian one;
* It must be after the Jewish holiday of Passover;
* It must be on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the Spring Equinox, which for this purpose is fixed as March 21st.

This is the second time in two days I've been searching for info on this sort of thing. DH was trying to figure out what Roman Catholic vs Irish Catholic was, and we came across the Roman/Orthodox schism there, too. :upsidedow

Cool!! I'll add you now. :thumbsup2

(Oh, do you want your real name in there too? If so, just let me know what it is. I see you have something in your sig, but can't tell if it's a name or not. For some reason my computer shows a red X. :confused3 )

You can add my real name in there too......its Stacie.

I just heard from Lorealle about the NQQ1 rooms. These are, in fact, Premium Disney View rooms in Bldg. 1 which means they will have a microwave!!!!

Ok, now I'm really sold. I'm calling now, you all should too! :cool1: :banana: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :banana: :cool1:

He he, I just made my reservation with Lorealle at the HOJO.....$74 per night, in a premium room w/a view of Disneyland!:banana:

I'm SO excited!:woohoo:

She said that they're going to try to keep all of our rooms together.:yay:

Hey I just called Lorealle back and asked for a premium view too! I just got her voice mail again. Hopefully she still will have one for me. :woohoo:

Actually, I think all the rooms she's booking for our group are premium rooms (which means they have a view of Disneyland), so you should already be good to go.:thumbsup2

Im on hold right now with her, so whichever of you is holding her up... Get off the phone!!:lmao: :lmao:
