Indeed.
Like the reason I freak out about drinking is because someone very close to me was killed by alcohol. And all it took was her drinking one time at a dinner party and she got hooked and was an alcoholic for nearly 5 years before she died.

BTW, in college there is alcohol EVERYWHERE!! But, if you get caught, there goes your scholarship. You then pay out of pocket.

And, I've been tempted many times for a beer, and it can be so hard when everyone around you is doing it too. I mean it may be fun for the time you feel good, but the day afterwards you can barely function! I can't do that with my schedule this semester. Plus I'll be 21 is just over a year.

There's nothing wrong with hanging out with slightly older people, but if its a party that has alcohol/drugs/smokers, then i would leave immediately.


Plus, its not like you didnt know about alcohol, you KNEW that this party would have it.

She drank at a party.
I didn't think it was right.
We got into a fight.
She ended up not being my friend anymore.

I am sitting here sobbing right now because I feel so bad because I feel like I am losing all of my friends because of one stupid thing I did and I don't want that.

That's what my bestfriend who's in college told me! She's like "I specifically requested in my little survey to get a room-mate who didn't drink. Since I don't drink and don't want to waste my time holding back hair while she throws up when I should be studying." I hate that college for some people, is party time

Yeah, drinking messes you up As long as you're responsible about your alcohol consumption, and LEGAL, then you should be okay. Or just, don't drink

Yep. That was crazy. College is the best and worst of times. And yeah, right now the girl who lives right across from me has been puking all morning because she didn't get in till 730am!! Its nasty and now our hall stinks.

Unless you have an unlimited income, its not worth it to be spending that much on school, and to not do well and be a sucessful human being.

Girls, I want to apologize to all of you for what I did. I really didn't realize until right now what special people you all are. I would have never thought that having a drink would affect people I talk to on the internet so much. You are all such sweet and special people and that really has shown with your concern over me from what I did last night. After really reading and hearing all of your concerns I have realized that yes what I did was wrong and one little slip up can lead to a lot of danger and I don't want that for myself or anyone. I will surely think in the future if I am ever get myself into this situation and think of all the kind and supporting words that you have all said to me in the past few pages.

As you know I really love all of you a lot here. I don't want to lose any of you as friends because of one stupid mistake I have made. So I am asking all of you to please accept my apology for my mistake and I really am sorry for hurting you all and especially hurting myself. Thank you all for being such good friends.
