Ok, so as long as our gift is better than a stinky old bottle of perfume we're good?? I feel better now that the bar is set nice and low.

She would go out (or 'shop' in her basement) and get something that looked like it might have cost the price limit at one time or the other.
One time I got a bottle of purfum from her that was brown!I know it had to have been at least 10-15 years old by the dates on the package.
Normally, I would say, it's the thought that counts (because in the end it is), but since I know for a fact that she hated me....I don't think that was the case here!![]()
Brown perfume!!!?! Ugh. I hate it when it's so clear something was regifted for a Christmas or Birthday gift.
I'm with Beth, I can't imagine anyone hating you but the world is full of strange people. I'll bet your current MIL appreciates you.
Back to the exchange.... Beth, part of my package is being sent from a vendor directly to my person, otherwise it would have taken too long to have it sent to me first. I'll include a note to that effect in my box.
Are you all not wrapping or wrapping your items in the box? How are these things done, the board exchange virgin wants to know?

I know it had to have been at least 10-15 years old by the dates on the package.

My dh was gone all weekend so I got no shopping done. Hard to shop with 4 kids in tow!
