Theresa~ It sucks you won't be able to come in Feb. Hopefully I'll see you in June!

Jane~ I hope everything goes well for you and your Dh's jobs.

Sarah~ You're an inspiration to all of us, hope you have a better day tomorrow!

Stacielee~ Have fun planning your WDW trip. Not sure if we'll ever get there:(

Hope everyone else is having a good night

Yay! I can't wait to hear about all your plans, especially your dining plans!

I'm glad all your stuff worked out today. Our dining plans will probably be pretty boring. My family doesn't like to eat anything that they would consider not normal. Not much seafood or veggies, nothing weird. We do know we're eating at the Biergarten (almost sounds like our last name) and a character breakfast at either Chef Mickey's or the Crystal Palace. We'll probably do Fantasmic so will eat at Hollywood & Vine most likely. I can't even make any ADRs until next week!!

My brother-in-law, his wife and their 5 kids (ages 5-15) are staying at an offsite timeshare as well so we're trying to coordinate everything. And there may be a couple we know that come with us, as well as Christine's BF. So that makes for a total of 15 people!! Fun planning!! Especially since the WDW online dining reservations says to call for groups of 10 or more! I really don't want to be on the phone with someone for a long time, but I may just have to.

The good news is that we got a call today, and we got a weekly recurring job that we bid on more than 2 months ago!

Yay!:cool1: Tina, you must be an awesome cook! I'm jealous - I HATE cooking and do everything I can to avoid it!

I'm burnt out right now & my brain is frazzled. I spent 4 hours today testing for a job & it was grueling. I think I did okay, but I'm going to go to the library and get some accounting books to read & study a little. Since I haven't worked in a LONG time, I think I'm loosing my edge.

Good luck on the job!:thumbsup2

I am cranky, kids made it so we had to leave the gym early so I didn't get my full work out in and I ate way more than I should have today.

Grrrr

Sarah

 Sarah! Give yourself some slack. It's okay to be cranky every once in awhile!:)

Hugs Sarah, your devotion to losing this weight is inspiring to me.

Ditto! :wave2: Hi Heather!!

Did anyone else notice there is NOTHING good on TV tonight!?:happytv:

Thanks everyone! You really are the best friends a girl could have! I am going to go work out a bit and then hit the hay...maybe I will even watch some TV with dh!:thumbsup2

Sarah

Maybe that can be your workout ;)

Wow, good luck with all the coordinating!
And here's my 2 cents:
Crystal Palace, for sure. Make your ADR for before the park opens, and you can take a great group pic in front of an uncrowded castle.
Hollywood and Vine--we had a really bad experience there. The food was not good, and it just seemed cheap and dirty in there (and not in a good way!) If they still offer the F! package at Mama Melrose, I'd go there.

Maybe that can be your workout ;)

Now you're thinkin'!

Yea for everyone getting to go to WDW.

Wow, I stay off the board for a short time and people drop out of the trip. DOn't worry, I am still going. Just sayin.
:thumbsup2

So I got up early, did a bunch of prep work, went out to my car to load up, and my tire was totally flat! There was a huge nail in the tire! Luckily, AAA got to the house in less than 20 minutes.
The good news is that we got a call today, and we got a weekly recurring job that we bid on more than 2 months ago! .

Great on the new weekly job!! Awful about the tire. Good on AAA.

P.S. Happy Birthday Wendy!!!

Yes, Happy Birthday, Wendy!

Katie, 4 hours... good for you getting back to studying up.
:wizard:

I've been out and coming on, I'm so confused. Jane says this at 6 PM:

All I have to say is <POUT>. I hope you'll reconsider as I would love to hang with you again!

But then a half hour later....

I had another crappy day at work in terms of the fact that we spent most of the day working on our budget cut scenarios and then there was a big town hall meeting at the end of the day. It was gloomy at best as people talked about what has happened and what it yet to come. There is a big economic report being released on Jan. 22nd and quite frankly my ability to come on the trip will rest on what that report says. Right now we have to cut 8% of the university budget, but if the results of the report are worse than we are currently anticipating (and many people believe that it will be) then we are looking at an even worse scenario. And, since Dave works for the newest higher ed institution in the state, there is talk of their school being shut down completely if things are really bad. So, count me as on the fence at the moment.

That is awful to hear, for many reasons. So you won't know until 1/22? I really hope you get good news. :wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:

Thanks! I know right now 7 days seems like we'll have time to do everything, but I KNOW we absolutely won't!! We ate at H&V about 4 years ago, and I don't remember anything about it, good or bad. Just wondering about MM kids' meals... Good idea about the castle pic.

That's why we're definitely planning on going to the water parks. We usually go over spring break and it's not really hot enough there to do them. The big question is whether we buy 10-day no expire tickets since we know we'll go back, even if it's 5 years from now...

Stacie - I bought the 10 day no expire tix for Bree & I (DH doesn't want to go). I bought them two months apart since I pay my cc off entirely each month it wasn't too big of a hit two months apart! We are going in Oct (AKV) and will have enough left on the passes to go the next time - like you said - whenever that may be. I am so glad I did it that way, I am not stressed about $$ for the Oct trip at all. :) You are a brave, brave woman to go in July. No way Jose for me. Of course you do live in Phoenix and unbearable heat is a way of life for you guys! (I lived in Phx 7 years myself and barely survived it!)

Sarah - For God's sakes woman - you are entitled to an off day once in awhile. You are shaming us all with your exemplary eating and exercise routine. I for one am in such admiration of your weight loss accomplishment.:thumbsup2

And I agree, no more cancellations! What is going on? Everyone must come and relish the whole "Dis Diva" experience. We owe it to each other.:grouphug: Theresa, I am very sad.

And yes Becci - there is absolutely nothing on TV. DH is watching "Chop Shop" on HD Theater or Discovery or one of those channels.:sad2: It's not only a boring car show, but they all have british accents.

Speaking of, he had his last radiation treatment today. The Team in the radiation department at City of Hope gave him a medal that looks like an Olympic one that reads "Distinguished Patient Award Champion". It's awesome. He has been such a trooper. Now he gets to rest a few weeks. No more chemo, radiation, bloodwork, procedures or doctor visits until February! We are so thankful.:goodvibes

Hello Divas!

Just wanted to tell you all that unfortunately, I am not going to be able to make the trip in February. Nothing bad or anything.... I hope you all have a great time (and maybe have a corn dog for me!!)
:sad1:

I'm hoping to attend the Vegas trip in June (still working that out).
I hope so Steph!! I really would like to see you again. :yay:

So, count me as on the fence at the moment.
:grouphug:

WDW in July?! :scared1: Yikes, I'd melt.
I have to agree. I'm not sure you could pay me to go to WDW in July!! But it will be fun at the water parks for sure.

Don't make me borrow Beth's whip!
whip.gif
I knew you had a little kink in you! :thumbsup2

And Marty finally has a chiro appointment tomorrow, so hopefully he will get some relief soon.
I hope so. Ruben's back is better, but still tender and he's really babying it.

I spent 4 hours today testing for a job & it was grueling.
Good luck! :wizard:

Wow, great news!! :goodvibes

I'm so sleepy and my stomach is flip flopping. Not sure why. I sure hope I am not next to catch this stomach bug that is going around my house. :sad2:

I think I am going to try to hit the hay. Night ladies!! :)

Linda - My heart is smiling right now! I am so pleased for your family! And thanks for the nice words...I am working at getting to 75 lbs gone this week and hope I can make it! If I can, I will be smaller than I have been since I was on the way up during my pregnancy with ds 5 years ago! After that losing the additional weight will feel like such an accomplishment and before you know it I will be down to pre pregnancy weight! I am getting close to many milestones and am saving my 90 minute massage for when I get under 200! That may still seem so huge to many people but it is sooooooo much smaller than I was last year during the trip that it really means a lot to me! Hopefully I will be there before our trip in February!

Have a great night ladies..I am off to bed;)

SarahMay

Theresa - you didn't tell me? Me, who shares your birthday? Me, who only planned to go to NR because you wanted to celebrate our birthday there?
:sad1:

I hope you'll pm me and fill me in.

Donna, is your birthday Mar.2 too? We'll have to have a birthday drink together, and I'll have one for Theresa too!

Who else is having birthdays during or close to the trip?

Good morning and TGIF!!

First of all Jane I am so sorry about all that is going on with your school and your dh's job. I DEF know how you feel as Shane's job has just been a nightmare. He got his W2 today and I REALLY saw just how awful it truly was. He made 20,000 less this year than last and let's just say we don't make THAT much to begin with! OUCH! Plus we are STILL on the day to day work. We don't know from day to day if he is going to work or not and he is working for different shops so it is always different wages and different hours and then this whole mess with the unemployment it is just never ending. I really shouldn't be going on the trip either and to be honest I feel TOTALLY guilty about spending ANY money but mom and my aunt REALLY want me to go so I keep telling myself that it will be ok but sometimes I feel like I really shouldn't be! I really hope things work out for you guys not just for the trip but just for life in general because I KNOW how stressful this all is and don't wish this on anyone!! ((hugs)) and I really hope to see you next month!

Beth I hope things are looking up at your place and that you don't get the bug! I hate hate hate the stomach flu almost more than anything else! ((hugs)) and I hope today is a better day!!

Amy your daughter and I share a birthday. How cool is that. Course I am a tad bit older but just sayin ;)

I haven't had the most productive week myself. I only worked out ONE day this week because as always life intervened. Had lots to do and just was NOT motivated to do anything. I couldn't get my mind around working out OR doing the taxes cuz I had other things preoccupying my brain. I am going to TRY and do a workout today before I go to work. No real plans for tonight but then tomorrow we have basketball and soccer and it looks like despite my appathy Katy WILL be doing another session of indoor soccer. SO we are going to be pretty busy for the next six weeks but what else is new. She really wants to do it sooo I guess we are going to do it. Then Sunday we may or may not go to church but then we are going to take her to target so she can do her gift card shopping and then we MAY go try to see a movie. And then the girls have monday off school so I may try to do something fun with them not sure yet.

Looking forward to just relaxing and having a 3 dayer :)

Stacie congrats on the WDW trip. I agree with the others I would die going in July. Our first trip was in May and I about melted. I couldn't imagine going in July. I don't do heat well either. But I am sure you will have fun and I have ALWAYS wanted to try the water parks so I am sure you guys will have a blast. Mom and I are "supposed" to go on a cruise in Oct and go to the parks 1 day before the cruise leaves but it is all still up in the air. Have fun with the planning. That is always fun! :)

Oh and Angie my mom's birthday is during our trip next month too. :) It is the 26th. Plus I know there are several others too.

Anyway that's bout all for me. Hope everyone has a Wonderful day and has some fun plans for your weekend!! Talk soon!

Oh and PS Linda I mentioned it on FB but CONGRATS to your dh on completing treatment. That is wonderful news!!!

yawn....YAY today is my day off...I am so sleepy.

StacieLee~ YAY for WDW!!

I have been in August, its hot, but it wasn't horrible except for the hurricane. Hot yes, but I live where its HOT dry heat, so it wasn't too bad for us.

AmySue girls are some of the meanest creatures on earth! I am glad yesterday was better for her.

I am off to get the kid up for school, he likes Friday's he gets to sleep in a bit.

We ate at H&V about 4 years ago, and I don't remember anything about it, good or bad. Just wondering about MM kids' meals... Good idea about the castle pic.

I agree with Tina. We had a horrible experience at H&V, but it was mostly due to our waiter :headache:. They food wasn't horrible, but it was just mediocore. I liked Mama Melrose, but we didn't eat off the kids menu so I can't help you there.

That is sooo sweet :lovestruc. I can't imagine how awful going through all the treatments are, but it's great they have some positivity at the end of all the procedures.

I'm so sleepy and my stomach is flip flopping. Not sure why. I sure hope I am not next to catch this stomach bug that is going around my house. :sad2:

I think I am going to try to hit the hay. Night ladies!! :)

Here's hoping you are feeling better this morning :wizard:. Hugs & get lots of rest .

Donna, is your birthday Mar.2 too? We'll have to have a birthday drink together, and I'll have one for Theresa too!

Who else is having birthdays during or close to the trip?

I think Deb's birthday is during our trip (but I could just be imagining things :upsidedow).
