I found out they do have veggie items and the beans are veggie too. So I vote Yes.
Thanks for calling. Good to know they have vegetarian items. :) I'm not vegetarian, but I'm not a bit meat eater either. I like those Morningstar items. Wonder if they'd throw a Griller on the BBQ? lol

If someone who has not yet booked a meal is interested in doing this, feel free to go ahead and do that. It's getting a bit complicated with people wanting to do different things.
I am fine with that. I have multiple reservations going on now (5 in my name and 2 that I made in Deb's name) and since I won't be at the BBQ it does make more sense for someone who is interested to take over that PS.

Beth I have decided that I am going to buy one of those wrist leashes to attach to your wrist so that I will know where I'm supposed to be everyday. You can just tell people that I'm a big kid. :lmao:
:rotfl2: Sounds like a plan. I have a nice pair of fuzzy handcuffs I can bring. :rotfl2:

That sounds great to me. You'll probably find me at Whitewater Snacks or getting a bowl of Veggie Gumbo in NOS.
I've had that gumbo. It's good. ::yes::

I called back and cancelled my PS. Since we are eating at JK that night, I think I will just opt for CS or cart meal.

It's diappointing that DL doesn't have a better way to handle large groups in general. This isn't the first time that I've heard this about DL either (my family & I have run into this ourselves just trying to book meals for when they all visit - there's usually anywhere from 10 - 17 of on any given trip).
Okay. I was feeling too booked for the day. Between the hunt, the Billy show, and the group dinner at Jazz, honestly, I'm ready to grab a meal at one of the counter services spots and get in some park time. kwim?

You do have a big family group. DL should really work on this.

Beth, I think your decision is fine. I'm hoping to still be dining with some of my friends at Club 33 that day for lunch anyway. I was just giving my opinion in case that didn't work out. (I won't be able to book a table until next week due to my contact being out of town.) I tried to call you but the call number I have is not working anymore. I hope we didn't stress you out too much. I understand how hard it is to take everyone's opinions into account. :goodvibes
Oh no, I'm not stressed. But I know that not all 41 signed up for CO will want to transfer to the BBQ and now with different times and plans being made, it's was getting to be a bit much.

After looking over the schedule I really just think we could all use some down time or some park time. Saturday is a busy day. If we didn't already have a group meal at Jazz Kitchen, I might have been more for the BBQ, but since we have one group meal already, I thought maybe that was good. Well, that's my take on it anyway.
And yay for Club 33!!! ;)

Ok, let me make sure I have this right. We are on our own for lunch after the scavvy hunt on saturday. There are 2 Cafe Olreans reservations on Sunday...one for 12:50 with Beth which has one? spot left and one for 4:30 with me which has 5 spots left. Plus we are down to 7 people for the House of Blues Gospel Brunch...is this correct?

Thanks,
Sarah
Yes, lunch Saturday you are on your own.
I have a CO reservation Sunday lunch at 12:50 with one spot remaining.
You have a CO reservation Sunday dinner with 5 spots remaining.
As for the brunch, I suppose with Patty out then you do have seven. I will take her name off the front page list.

My mom and I are going to do the BBQ on Saturday for lunch. We have never eaten there and would like to try it. If anyone else would like to also I would be willing to take charge and make the reservation. Do we know what time the scavenger hunt is going to be finished? I was still thinking 2:30 for lunch.

Thank you Sarah!! I am sure there will be some who want to give the BBQ a try, just not all 41. If you call, you can mention my name and ask for the lead CM Gary. He's the one who told me booking a larger group at the BBQ should be fine. Let me know if there's anything I can do.
I will make the updates on the front page listing you as the contact person, and adding the BBQ as an option for Saturday for anyone interested.

Yea for my DD Sarah for doing this !

Hey Sarah, as long as the 4:30 CO ressie doesn't interfere with the Billy Hill show, I'd like to join you. I'm not doing any other sit down meals that day, so I think a monte cristo just might be in order. Would love it even more if someone wanted to join us and split it with me.

:)

Callie

Hi Callie...the Billy show is on saturday and my 4:30 dinner is on Sunday so it would not interfere at all! Are you still up for it?

Sarah

Hey all, just checking in. The kids are about to go to bed and then I am off to watch Biggest loser with Glenn!

Sarah
wasn't it amazing last night. Wow...

Hello my lovely Divas!

I feel like I haven't posted in a long time. My new work schedule is making it difficult. And I am blocked at work so I can't even post on breaks. No fair.

I really like my new job. .
glad you like it...sorry they blocked the Dis...lol

I am also feeling a little overwhelmed! Could it possibly be I am making lists but mostly on stickys and I keep finding them everywhere. Didn't get home until after 10pm last night after basketball (left the house at 5:30am). My 3 lb toy fox terrier came running so excited to see me and on his little body was one of my post its. I have decided today to use a notebook.
I laughed when I read this...so funny!

Thank you for the kind words, Courtney.:) I hope you evade that bug trying to get you! I feel so fortunate that I rarely get sick.

Mel - some of our financial woes are self induced. I mean, who among us can't say we could have saved more $$ over the last decade? (other than the youngsters in the group who were children ten years ago). We thought we had saved enough for Bree's college and guess what? All that money was gone after her freshman year.:sad2: Then we both had pay cuts and new jobs and let's just say it never got better. But like you, I am so grateful for my family and that we could provide DD an education and we really have very little debt (other than our upside-down house which is another whole story) and no credit card debt. I really think 2010 will start to turn around for all of us. The main goals for us are: Chris beating his cancer, Bree graduating and getting a decent job and us finally starting to save more $$. And doing more Disney doesn't hurt, either.;) It keeps me sane!
What great goals!! I hope they all come true :)

This is the shirt I ordered. Cassi had it on an after Christmas Clearance Sale for $5.00! :woohoo:

Hopefully it fits. I plan on blinging it up a bit and maybe adding a bow to make it a Minnie.

Love your shirt..really cute!

I'm needing a flow chart for the last few pages of changes to meals...LOL Doesn't help that I'm at work and should be paying attention to other things...;)
now I'm hungry too!

I finally made a trip outline and it helped me sooooo much! It really helped me identify what I still need to figure out. For instance, I haven't scheduled my transfers yet. I have always done super shuttle in the past (I am flying into LAX) and I will probably stay with them unless someone can give me another suggestion they think might be better.

Sarah

Sarah: I will do the BBQ too--I was there before they took away the characters and the food was pretty good.

Count Bree & I in for the BBQ, Sarah. I have been wanting to try it, too. And $20 is not bad for all you can eat. Thanks!:)

Got it! :thumbsup2

I read that the dessert and drinks are no longer included but I guess the price is lower now than what it was. But since it's all you can eat no dessert is fine with me and I've also given up soda this year so I am fine with water.

I agree that it seems like a lot that day. Rebecca and I will skip any group lunches and fend for ourselves. We were starting to wonder if we can fit rides anywhere into this trip:)

Beth, could you take me off the Thunder Mountain BBQ lunch please? I think I'm going to eat something light that afternoon instead and save room for dinner at the Jazz Kitchen. Gotta leave room for my gumbo ya know. :thumbsup2

You want to ride rides on this trip?!? :scared1: :rotfl2:

I felt like that last year. It was my first year, and I felt like I wouldn't have time to ride, but I did. It worked out well. I think having Sat after the hunt free will be nice for those wanting to catch a few rides. :thumbsup2

I just spent over an hour on the phone with my bank and Wells Fargo. We have a loan with them, and they hadn't cashed the last two checks. They told me last month that they were behind not to worry, but when I noticed that the check from the 24th had not been cashed either, I started to worry.

Well, it looks like I just made $400, and I'm not sure what to do about it. Wells Fargo insists that they cashed them and we are good until Feb, and the bank insists that it's all good also. However, I don't see the checks coming out of my account on my electronic statements. Maybe I'm missing something, but they both insist it's paid. I'm just worried that I'll use that money somewhere else, and then the bank will come back at me and say 'oops! we screwed up and are now helping ourselves to your money.'

I think I'll wait a little longer before spending it.

Vodka, chocolate..... you got me wanting chocolate cake shots!!!
Okay, these have been mentioned twice now. I must know what they are and where to get one. I don't drink, but I eat cake. :rotfl2:

Huh? I'm sorry, I don't understand. You wanna do rides too?? :confused3

(I'm starting to wonder the same thing!! :rotfl2: )

Got it.
You're welcome to join me at French Market. Well, anyone is really. I enjoyed their pasta and corn bread last time so I think I'll head there. Or maybe I'll order the Cajun chicken salad. We'll see....
