Beth - if Linda hasn't already made the Napa Rose ressies, can you PULEEZE add me back to that? I was going to be leaving on Sunday, but WestJet doesn't have flights to YVR on Sunday, so I'll be there until Monday.

OKay, now I see this. ;) :rotfl2:

I'll PM her and see what's up.

We're at the point that I can now print out day planner sheets and start scheduling in the activities and meals! I love doing that, it makes it feel more official. I'm also going to start a "have" and "need" list. Hopefully it won't be hot! I really dislike the humidity at DLR so I'd love it to be so I can wear jeans and a tee comfortably. I don't mind putting on my jacket at night but it's the whole hokey pokey during the day because I get cold on a ride and then hot when walking.

Sing along
♪♫ Put your jacket on, take your jacket off, put your jacket on and shake it all about. You do the jacket hokey pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what it's all about. HOKEY POKEY♪♫

;)

LOL! I never thought of it that way. We totally were doing the hokey pokey when we went in early Dec. It was chilly in the shade & inside, but warm in the sun. Was really annoying.

Is it really possible that it will be hot in February? I was expecting to wear long sleeves and/or a hoodie or jacket the entire time.

It all depends on what you consider hot. Those from the burning hot summer states like CA or NV may consider 70 warm where as non-burning states may consider 60 warm. It all depends on your internal gauge. Though I will say that I am planning on just bringing a couple layers and keeping them in a locker or attached to my backpack to be safe.

Well bummer. Don't they know we had plans to go there?? :confused3

Okay, so all those signed up for WCT we need a plan B. Any ideas? Do we want to try and book another restaurant? Or what about just doing a meet up in DCA at the open seating area in Pacific Wharf. I love the soup there, and wouldn't mind eating there. Others could grab some Mexican food if they want since it's in the same area.

What about Storytellers? (are they open for lunch?) or someplace in DD like Naples? We don't have a dinner planned for that night, just dessert @ BB so whereever we go should be on the later lunch side (esp since the river belle breakfasts are so big)

I just realized that for Sunday, other than breakfast at Riverbelle Terrace, I don't have any meal plans. :scared1: I'll starve!!!!!!

;)

This is the schedule that day:
Segway Tour @ 7:15 a.m.
Group pics at Pixie Hollow at opening
Breakfast at Riverbelle Terrace (Time TBD)
OR
House of Blues Gospel Brunch @ 10 a.m.
Dinner: Napa Rose @ 6:00

I'm not doing the gospel brunch, I've done it before and it is good! And I'm not doing Napa Rose. Although I know many of you love it there, it's too rich for my blood and not really my type of food.
So I'm thinking of making a reservation for House of Blues for an early dinner, around 6:00, same time as Napa Rose and maybe we can all meet up after. Anyone else interested in HOB dinner?

Let me know if you are. (I think we could probably book up to 10-12 without too much trouble.)

I would be interested in that for Monday, but will be @ NR that day.

I am procrastinating getting ready for work, but should probably head to get a shower & drive in now. :(

Well, maybe we can do HOB for lunch on Monday in place of WCT. I'd be up for that. Anyone else???

Then when everyone else is at Napa Rose on Sunday, I'll go grab a corn dog or something.

Morning all and happy monday!

Whew all this craziness. I don't envy you guys having to deal with all this. WOW what a big pain in the patooty! You guys are going to need to be bought a drink or a dessert in beth's case or something special as a great big thank you for all this. Sheesh!

Mel I know you prob already know this but I figured I better just say it again. Mom and I and my aunt Barb want to be on the scavy hunt team together and IF you put 4 on a team like last year I would LOVE to have Mary Jo again but ONLY if she wants to and ONLY if that is ok with you. Whatever you think is best is fine with us! :)

We had a great kick back day yesterday! Didn't do squat but lay around and watch the tube and just relax. It was awesome! Today we have to run a bunch of errands but hopefully when we get home it will be more relax time! Then tomorrow I have to run in to work and not sure about wed but then Thurs is my Katy's birthday. She is SO excited! I have heard back from all but 1 girl on her party so I am glad for her that she will have a few kids coming! It should be fun!

Tina your mountain trip sounds like a blast! I LOVE yosemite in the winter. GORGEOUS!

Hope everyone else is having a GREAT day! Talk soon.

Oh and PS Linda I am glad you got to see Mary Poppins. I agree I hope it comes here because I think the girls would LOVE it!! :)

HOB sounds good to me.

I am up to any type of food corndog, beef skewers, mexican or watever. I agree the Napa menu didnt do anything for me.

HOB sounds yummy for Monday night dinner especially since I won't be there on Sunday for the Gospel brunch.

I love all the planning! :lovestruc

I cried this morning when Mom left, and cheered myself up by thinking of our trip coming up and visiting with my friends.

Donna, I'm glad to see that you are still surviving your MIL's trip. I know you love her, but it is hard to have visitors even when we love them. Mom left a day or 2 too early for me this time. Last time she was here 5 full days, and that was a perfect amount for us. KWIM? She needed to get back to Dad though. He did well, but got really sick yesterday. I could tell it bothered her not to be there with him. I probably won't see her again until I have the baby. :guilty:

I have a big u/s tomorrow. It's the early one they give you now to detect Down's syndrome or any other trisomies. I lost a little boy back in 2006 to trisomy 13. I'm nervous and worried about what they'll find. I have a general peace about me though that everything is ok. Please pray for us if that's what you do.

Also, Beth and Theresa we might need to rethink our corndog on a bench idea, I've heard that the new ones are not that good. Any suggestions for another tasty SH treat??? Maybe we could split an apple? :)

Heather - prayers for your ultrasound. I know it will be okay :thumbsup2

Oooh, an apple sounds like a good idea if the corndogs are not so good any more (which may make me cry :sad1:) I'm sure we'll be able to come up with some most excellent snack ideas :rolleyes1

HOB dinner sounds like fun - never been to dinner there. I know the Gospel Brunch is two thumbs up :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Very true! I am coming from frigid temps! It is 20 & snowing right now!!! Last year, I thought it was really warm! I wore capri's during the day & light hoodie & at night I changed into jeans. Now summer time in my area is a different story, it is HOT!!! 96-108 or higher.

I would be up for Story Tellers, Sunday is my birthday, that would be a fun bday dinner!

:scared1: :scared1: The corndogs are different??? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no................................:sad2:

Well it is snowing now!

I am cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning today.
The tree is down, laundry is going, dishwasher is running, kitchen floor is mopped, and the bleach is hanging out in the bathroom. Busy, busy morning.

I hope the u/s goes perfectly!

That would be splitting a carmel apple, right?

Yeah, that sounded good to me! Are you joining our slowpoke team? I also think I might need a cherry coke from the coke corner also. :thumbsup2

I'm not feeling well, and I'm worried it's more than just pregnancy not feeling well. I had chills last night, even with two thick blankets, I was shivering. I then turned the heat up to 75, and finally got warm enough to sleep. DH was sweating. I'm having tummy troubles today, and so hope I'm not getting sick....

Thanks for the prayers divas!

Sounds good to me. :) I've eaten at the HOB in WDW, but never been to the DL one.

I'm sure everything will be fine, but will keep you & the new one in my prayers!

Oh no!!! Not the corndogs. I know the castle ones moved while the construction goes on. But I haven't tried one yet. Also, always liked the wagon ones better anyway.

Sad to say, but yes the corndogs have changed....they used to be all beef, and are now a beef/chicken blend dog. I think they are also smaller now which might be a blessing since they don't taste as good (or so I hear). :sad2:

Oh Oh Oh! I know what I want for my snack now. I want to try one of the skewers from Bengel BBQ. I've heard they're great, but have never tried one!

Well that's no good. Why would they do that? (Though I hear Costco is having issues getting their Kosher dogs & some of their stores have changed what they carry & serve @ their snack bars.)

You should definately have a skewer at Bengal BBQ! These are some of mine and dh's favorite. I particularly like the bacon wrapped asparagus and the spicy beef skewers. :)

OKay, since we don't have time to mess around with this, I am making an executive decision :duck:and changing lunch at Wine Country Trattoria, which we now know will be closed, to lunch at Storytellers. I was looking at their menu already before Deb suggested it, and I agree, it would be a nice place for lunch.

This is who was signed up for WCT. IF you do not wish to eat at Storytellers, you need to let me know asap so I can take you off the list before making the reservations at 7:00 a.m. Friday morning. Thank you.

If I do not hear from you, I will assume you are fine with the change and will keep you on the list for Storytellers.

The princess: will be just fine tomorrow at your u/s!

I hope you are not getting sick. I hope you start feeling better.

I am a slow poke member for the hunt.
