Wow, super quiet here on the thread today. Hopefully that means everyone is having a good day and was out having fun. :goodvibes

I had a great lunch with Amy and Jane. It was nice to just sit and chat.

Ever since then I've been home cleaning and helping all the kids wrap presents for their friends and teachers. I buy stuff on clearance after each Christmas and throughout the year when I find cheap deals, and store it until this time of year. Makes it so much easier and cheaper for the kids to be able to give presents to their friends.

Anyway, it's fun but they wore me out!! I'm ready for bed but it's barely going to be 8:00. Hopefully I can stay awake at least long enough to get the kids into bed.

Later! :)

A nice quiet lunch with the girls sound nice. After the Holidays I am going to get Kelly out for a lunch!!! I insist!!!

Drive by hi before I drag my PMSing body to sleep. Today was my girls' Christmas piano recital which lasted 3 hours. Way too long to sit through. And I was grumpy, irritable and snappy from the moment I woke up. I just had to swat my 7 year old for throwing a complete temper tantrum over going to bed. I can't remember the last time I had to spank one of my kids. I think we're all suffering from lack of sleep around here.

race you to bed, Beth. Bet I'll be asleep before you! G'night gals.

Morning and happy monday!!

Boy it WAS slow around here. I guess it is cuz half our group was having fun at DL!! :) I hope they had a blast and can't wait to hear how their teams did!!! We want pis too by the way hint hint!

We were supposed to go to church yesterday but Shane had to meet his VA rep at 11 and it was still really ugly and raining and miserable and since we were going to the gingerbread project we decided just to skip it. But anyway we DID go to that and I was a little dissapointed. SO much has been cut back at church since we are losing it and having to move. The girls put on a wonderful christmas program last year at a convalescent hospital and at church but they cut that out and then last year we had this amazing soup and salad bar with all these yummy breads and then everyone brought lots of desserts but yesterday they just had these puny little salads and just brought you the soup in styrofoam coffee cups. Glad I wasn't too hungry!! And NO dessert. I don't really get it either since usually all that stuff is brought by people at the church but anyway we DID make our house and we didn't win again but it was fun to do and we had some great fellowship and the girls had lots of fun and that is all that matters. You would be AMAZED at some of the stuff these people make. I should take more pics of some of the other houses next year and share cuz some were REALLY amazing!!!

Anyway then we came home and were just vegging and my microwave died! I guess everyone elses bad luck is rubbing off LOL. Not that I didn't ALREADY have some but geez! I JUST bought that thing too not too long ago. We are gradually switching our kitchen appliances to stainless and so we bought that one maybe 2 or 3 years ago and I can't believe it just quit. It kept shutting off and then was smoking so shane completely unplugged it cuz we don't want any fires!!! Our friends on swim team had their dishwasher short out and burned down their entire house during our swim meet! They lost EVERYTHING and after losing one of my kids that is my 2nd biggest fear!

SOOO tonight it looks like we have to go buy a stupid microwave. It SOO figures too cuz with Shane's stupid 600 truck reg due and christmas and Katy's birthday this is a BAD month as it is and he is going to be missing days on his check. Plus I was pretty mad cuz he basically WASTED the money in my opinion to file these stupid divorce papers and then he missed a day of work. He has to miss part of Monday to re-take his contractors license and with EVERYTHING going on I doubt he will pass again! UGH!

But as everyone says at least I have my girls for now so I am happy about that. I sure hope for EVERYONE'S sake, mine included, that 10 is a better year! Sheesh!

Anyway mom and dad are coming back today and I have to run in to work. Otherwise not much else going on this week. It is the girls last week before the break and they have church wed and they get to dress up all christmasy and they have a little contest and they will probably have some goodies and of course at least Shelby's class will have some type of party then one day this week (I think either Thurs or Fri) I have to take the girls to the dentist and then my office Christmas party is Friday. That's bout it for me.

And yes Janelle I DEF want to get together. I think it would be a BLAST and we SO need to do it!!

Hope everyone has a great day and had a good weekend. TTYL!! :)

Pretty slow around here. I hope that means everyone had a great weekend :thumbsup2

I had some drama with my parents and it ended up being the start of a bad day. For all those with loving & supportive parents, please hug them and be grateful for them .

I hope the Divas who were at MA had a good time even though it was raining. I wish I could have met up with some of them for breakfast, but the brakes went out on my car & I haven't been able to get them fixed yet.

Here's hoping today is a good one for everyone :wizard:.

Mornin ladies!

Well another weekend away from home, and one more to go. Last weekend was spent in Redlands at Dave's family for a Christmas get together. Next weekend going to Sacramento for my nieces graduation, and also seeing lots of family too.

Beth, one year one of my sons peeked at one of his gifts, and I decided not to give it to him. He finally had to confess and ask me where it was? I told him that I knew what he had done, and that is why he didn't get it. I don't think any of my kids ever did it after that. :rotfl:

Hey, I want pics of Capri blubbering too! :goodvibes

Debra, I take special requests for the scavvy hunt. :thumbsup2

Amy, what a nice offer to Deb. I think I will go ahead and put you two together. :grouphug:

Kelly, big hugs to you!

Mouse Adventures..........did you have your contest?:confused3

Morning girls.
I am supposed to go back to work today but well one of my parts is not going back to normal size. So that is what has been causing the pain & my body is still producing some kind of hormone.
The wknd was fun shopping, then we went to Laramie's nephews party. It was ok. I had a better time than I thought I would. Now that I am off on Christmas, I guess that is where we are going.
Yesterday was the Christmas program at church. Kaeleb was a cute little shepard. He had been practicing his lines for wks and did great. But everytime I went to take his picture he would turn.
I made pb cookies with the kisses on them.
This wk sometimes Christmas cookies.

Today I am going to get my hair done.
Tomorrow I am helping Kaeleb's class paint their applesauce ornaments we made on Friday.

I finished most of my shopping. But I really didn't buy a whole lot. My kids have everything. I can't really figure out what to get them.
So in the 2ndwknd in March I am them to the Great Wolf Lodge for the wknd.

Mel~ Thanks.
Katie~ I hope your day gets better. I am sure it will, it just has to right.
Kelly~
Capri~:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

I hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning ladies.

Mel, I see you are busy as always! :worship:

Kelly, sorry about the microwave. Hope you can find a deal on a new one.

Janelle, I hope you and Kelly do meet up. It's nice to just chat now and then. :)

Deb, I'm sorry to hear you are still in pain. What can they do for you?
Btw, the Great Wolf Lodge is really nice. Well, the one we stayed at was. We went to the one in Traverse City, MI one year when we lived there. It was at Christmas and so pretty. Fun too! :thumbsup2

Katie, sorry about the issues with your parents.

I hope everyone has a good Monday. I let Adam stay home from school for his birthday. He's doing well in school so I figured why not. He's going to help me make the breakfast lasagna recipe I have from the Crystal Palace in WDW. Yum!!

Although, truth be told, I don't really feel like it. I am feeling out of sorts. Without going in to TMI, let's just say Aunt Flo is visiting me waaaay too often. I need to call my doctor and see if I can make an appt and figure out what's going on. It's got me a little scared and imagining the worst. :sad2:

Alright, have a good one ladies. TTYL! :hippie:

Happy Monday gals!
We had some wonderful rain this weekend, which we SOOOO needed, but I must say I'm happy to see the sunshine this morning :)
We had a nice weekend, nothing fabulous but I got things done and we had some fun too. Parker had a 48 hour EEG from Fri - Sun, but it was our first ambulatory one so we got to stay home instead of doing it in the hospital which was wonderful. I will be very curious how it comes out, as he had no obvious seizures, which is great. We'll see if his background waves show anything abnormal or if he's having subclinical seizures that we are missing.
Beau headed out to Tempe AZ for auditions with Academy Drum Corp. He was super excited and made the cut down to 4 people, so he will have to go back out in a few weeks for final auditions.
We went to the newleyweds house yesterday to make gingerbread houses/people, play the Wii and have dinner. It is so cute seeing their first tree, stockings, decorations and such. My son did good and picked a wonderful girl to marry. We just adore her :)
I'm feeling a bit stressed this week with lots of dates & deadlines hovering. Especially with it being the kids last week of school, which makes me want to get everything done while they are gone at school. This week also starts holiday hours til January, so I'll be working more then normal in the evenings.
Hugs to all and extra squeezes to those in need or pain!!
Beth...how old are you (not to be nosy)! My periods have changed drastically when I hit 42 and especially this past year at 45. Not really any symptoms of real menopause, but periods really off kilter and heavy.
Happy Monday to all!!

Katie I am so sorry about the mess with your parents. I SO know how you feel. Unfortunately I am WAY too close with my parents and really need to be on my own but unfortunate circumstances in my life keep forcing me to need their help and they are not always the best ones to do that. They tend to meddle sometimes and not always want what is in my best interest. My mom has always been my biggest confidant and friend but yet she can almost be my biggest pain in the butt cuz she LOVES to play the martyr role and loves to give guilt trips and on and on so I totally feel your pain.

We love our parents but sometimes we wish we could just do everything on our own. And AS a parent myself I know that they just want to help and protect us as I want to do the same for my kids but sometimes you need to let your kids go. It's tough!

Deb I am sorry you are still feeling out of sorts. I hope that the docs can fix your problems so you are feeling 100% again. That must be very frustrating. I know that feeling all too well as some of my issues I have been dealing with for YEARS. ((hugs)) and hope you feel better soon. Going to that lodge with the boys sounds like lots of fun! That is right up my alley! Take lots of pics!! :)

Beth that was really nice of you to let Adam stay home! You are def the fun mom! I hope you guys have a great day together and I am sorry about your health issues. I hope you can get it resolved.

I'm just waiting to hear from mom when they get home cuz until she gets here I am kind of stuck as to what to do at work. It is pretty lame but we are so broke at the office that I need her to tell me what we can and can't pay. I sure hope 10 is better for our office too cuz it is SO stressful trying to run a business like that. BLEH!

I looked online at microwaves and we didn't want to spend a bunch of money right now cuz it is tight but that is the bogle. If we buy a cheap one it will prob break again so what do you do. Bite the bullet and get a better one that will last or buy a cheap one and end up prob having to replace it again in a year or less? Dilemma!!

Plus when shane closed our jt checking he didn't even think about the fact that his VA checks were direct deposited in there as well as his paychecks and his child support (although we have never gotten any money so on THAT one it prob doesn't matter). But I told him he NEEDS to get the VA fixed because if they send it to a closed acct it will be a big screw up. I tried calling and typical govt agency I can't get through.

He usually gets his check dep the last day of the month which isn't that far away so I hope he can get it resolved quickly. Plus I told him even though he isn't getting any money from Lynn's mom he MAY get some SOME day and he needs to get it fixed so it doesn't go to la la land.

So we have a LOT to do when he gets home. We have to get the acct fixed (he is going to get one that I have access too so I can pay the bills and have money for the girls) and then get all the routing numbers to the proper people then he has to TRY and get a hold of the VA and DCSS and then we have to buy a microwave and he has to go finish his side job that he has been doing for WEEKS now but hasn't been able to finish cuz of everything going on. Plus he is SUPPOSED to be studying this week cuz his re-test is Monday but who knows WHEN he will be able to do that LOL.

Anyway hope everyone is having a good day so far and Katie I hope your day starts looking up!!!

Beth and Deb I hope you feel better!!

And Hi to everyone else!!

Where are those MA people! We want updates!!! :)

So I bit the bullet and I bought the UGGs this morning. I really need to stay away from the Budget Board....:rolleyes1

Kel~ 8 years ago I bought a cheapish microwave and it still works. I think I paid $45 for it.

Beth~ I hope you start feeling better.

I can't wait to take the boys to GWL, there is one over in Lacey, I think its Lacey. I can't wait!

Yay for ughs! I am glad you did it! Sometimes us moms need to spoil ourselves!!! We are so busy doing everything for OTHERS that we rarely do anything for ourselves. Good for you! I KNOW you will enjoy them! I have a pair of fake ones that I bought several years ago but the fur inside is all mooshed down and they aren't as coozy anymore. Plus they are the light tan ones and I REALLy would like a pair of blake ones. So I am thinking I might get myself a pair if I get any money for christmas. My mom usually gives me money cuz she never knows what to give me and I still have money from my birthday and I think possibly LAST christmas. I NEVER buy myself anything I spend all my money on the girls so I still have it sitting in a drawer LOL.

And as for the micro, yeah I am just so leery now. I went to target, walmart and sam's website and I looked at all the cheapie ones and they all got REALLY bad reviews and people said they died after a few months. It seems like they USED to make things a lot better. I had an old microwave that I got when I FIRST was on my own like 20 years ago and that thing moved with me prob 20 times up to washington and back and Shane and I even used it up till we moved here and then this place already had one and we replaced THAT one with the stainless and of course THAT thing didn't last. It was like the first HD big screen we bought. It was REALLY expensive and it completely quit after only a few years. So this time we bought a much cheaper one and THIS time bought the warranty LOL!

Live and learn I guess ;)

You are going to have so much fun at the lodge! I LOVE lodges. I have stayed at a few different ones and they are SO fun and cozy! You guys will have a blast!! :)

Good morning my Diva Babes! :cool1:

Debra: Oh sweetie, I'm sorry you're still in such pain. What do the doctors say? Is there anything you can take to help?:hug::hug:

Kelly: What a bummer that your microwave died. I have an extra one you could have, but it is white. If white wouldn't clash too much with your kitchen, your welcome to have it. I'd be happy to ship it down to you. :thumbsup2

Beth: I swear, you are the coolest mom ever!!! Sorry to hear about your female issues. I've had the same things happen to me too. Periods every 20 days sometimes.....sometimes heavy periods.....sometimes light periods......night sweats......hot flashes.....even pimples from time to time again. Gotta love those late 30s hormones.

Katie: Sometimes parents can be so hard on us when we need their support the most. I'm sorry sweetie.:hug::hug:

Melody: You are one busy woman! Enjoy your time with family!

Well, my brother went back to Scottsdale yesterday, so our house is getting back to normal. While he was staying here, my nephew stayed here too, so for about nine days, it was like living in a fraternity. There's a lot less testosterone running through the place this morning, although still plenty with my own three guys around.:goodvibes

My dad is doing very poorly, and seems to be getting worse everyday. Mom said he's not eating much. He fell again last night in the bedroom, and my mom couldn't get him up. She called 911 because not only couldn't she get him up, but she felt he needed to be in a hospital. However, 911 was busy. So she called us and asked Justin to rush over and help right away. Justin managed to get him up, but he said dad's legs are like jello and he just doesn't have any strength in them. Anyway, he got dad back in bed and settled for the night. His nurse is coming for a visit today, so we'll see what she says. I'm supposed to help mom get dad to an appointment tomorrow to have his blood drawn at the hematologist clinic, but geesh, if he goes down, I won't have the strength to lift him.

Anyway, off to get my homework done, and then I'm going to make a big ol' pot of homemade navy bean and ham soup and some cornbread. I'll take some over to my mom and dad for their dinner. I know they'll love it. :thumbsup2

Hey everyone! We missed you all!! MouseAdventure was fun, but I don't think I have ever been at Disneyland when it rained all day! LITERALLY ALL DAY!! We looked like drowned rats by the time it was over. But fun, and a good brain workout! We don't have too many pictures because we weren't allowed to use cameras during the competition, but I have one that we had someone take before we left the hotel, when we were all warm and pretty, and then just a couple more that I'll post soon. I was so tired when we got home and felt so bad for Heather since she still had to drive a couple more hours after we got to my house. And I had started with a cold before we left and pretty much didn't really have a voice all weekend, and it's still pretty scratchy. Or husky, which maybe DH likes... :rolleyes1:

They did take a team picture of us that I will post once it's on the MA board. I don't think we did very well, but we sure tried. I'm ready for the next one, now that I know more about how it works. We had a lovely dinner with Cheryl and Brandy so that was a good end to Saturday.

I never saw Carol or Vicki, and ended up sleeping in on Sunday morning so the girls and I didn't get to meet up with everyone for breakfast, but Heather did.

The funniest thing was while we were driving out to CA and the subject came up about who was sleeping with who and Heather said something like At least I shaved my legs for you. And I said that I hadn't. Then she got this look on her face like Uh Oh! And said she forgot her pajamas!!! :scared1: So we had to make a stop at a Walmart around Palm Desert so she could get some pajamas. Unshaven legs, okay, but NOT no jammies!!!!! Then after we left Walmart, Allyson said she thinks she forgot her pajama bottoms!!! So, instead of going back, I just had her call Christine to bring an extra pair.

All in all, a GREAT weekend, but very tiring!!!

Capri you are the sweetest! Thank you SO much for thinking of me! I really appreciate the offer but I don't think I could wait that long without a microwave. I am dying just NOW without it LOL. In fact last night when making dinner I had to use my oven for EVERYTHING and you forget just HOW much you rely on those things!!! Then I eat instant oatmeal for breakfast every morning and I can't do that and you can't really make instant on the stove so until I leave for work I am outta luck on eating breakfast. But that was so sweet of you to offer. I think we are just going to get the cheapest one we can find and then we will just use it till it dies and then get a nice one down the road when we have more moola! But thank you SO much for the very generous offer!!!

And I am SOOO sorry about your dad!!! I remember when my grandma got sick and how hard it was to take care of her and I know this must be so painful to watch your dad go through this and how hard it must be on your poor mom!!! As I said on FB I am praying for all of you!!

Stacie thanks for the update! Glad you guys had fun and sorry about the rain! We got pummelled up here too! I can only imagine how miserable it must have been to try and play that game in the pouring rain. LOVE the story about the jammies and legs though LOL.

I am one of those cave women that never shave the legs in winter. I had my doc apt on Thurs when I took the girls to get their flu shots and since she had to actually LOOK at my leg I had to shave them LOL. Then they were all dry and I looked like a flippin aligator. ICK! We are so bad. We get married and get all comfy and say to heck with it LOL. I know for me it is ALL about being comfy and warm in winter and to heck with everything else LOL.

Can't wait to see what few pics you have and hear the results!!

Good morning divas!

Nothing is up with me. I'm just coughing a whole heck of a lot!

Kelly – That sucks about your micro! At our house, we go through irons and coffee pots a lot! We get new ones maybe twice a year? So I feel you about just buying that micro and it dying on you.

Katie – Big hugs to you. I hope things get better with your parents.

Melody – Hi girl!!

Deb – I hope you feel better really soon! And yay for Uggs! How much did they come out to with the sale price?

Beth – You are an awesome Mom for letting Adam stay home today. And I hope Aunt Flo stops bothering you.

Jill – That’s just great Parker can do the EEG at home. Must be much more comfortable. And congrats to Beau for making the cut! I wish him luck for the final auditions!

Capri – I’m so sorry about your Dad. He’s in my prayers. That’s really crazy about 911 being too busy. I’ve never heard of that.

Stacie – I’m glad you guys had a blast at MA! I can’t wait to see some pictures. I would have been miserable in all that rain!

Good Morning Divas!

Got some good sleep last night, so I'm feeling a lot happier today. :goodvibes

So, does anyone want to make some t-shirts???

Here's the links to the pdf's for printing on the shirts. Since we are printing these on black shirts, Dan set them up specifically for the transfers for dark colored material (which means the image does NOT need to be reversed).

Here's the first large design which can be used on the front or back:

http://members.cox.net/thedisneygal/dis_divas09.pdf

Here's the small emblem for use on the front left of a hoodie or sweatshirt:

http://members.cox.net/thedisneygal/dis_divas09_emblem.pdf

Dan also included trim lines to show you where to cut the transfers prior to ironing.

Beth, you gonna put these on the front page??? Thanks! pirate:
