Agreed. If we can't be at DL, we can at least live vicariously through your DL and DCA pictures. :thumbsup2 I can hardly wait to see the pics for Cars Land when it opens.

No need to fear, I'll have more photos than anyone wants to see by the time the summer is over. At least stuff I take with my Nikon will be on flickr and not spamming Facebook.

:thumbsup2 Loving the pics!!

:goodvibes

You're a wild woman Miss Jessica! It's all Rochelle's fault, right? :smokin: LOL!!

Hey now, I made it through last night (dancing and all) without any alcohol. That was a pretty big feat. No surprise we were there again tonight. I don't know what it was but people tonight were just in the mood to troll and start fights. We almost had to have security come and talk to this one kid who was just ... UGH. Eventually he went away but he sure made a huge stink out of everything. All we wanted to do was dance and not deal with his crud.

Oh, Beth! I forgot to mention, are you able to snag that photo of me by the Carthay Circle Fountain from Facebook to use for the first page? I really like it. If not I can post an edited version here.

That's my DH's bday too.

Yay! Another 5th-er! :)

Looks like you had a great time this weekend Jessica!

Mine is over, however. We had our long weekend last weekend, so this one was just a normal one for us. Sigh. I like making money being back at work, but I am really missing the time with my son. It's actually depressing me. But, you gotta do what you gotta do right? That's what I keep telling myself.

Anyways, hope you all enjoy your holiday Monday! Hope the weather is good for you all. :)

Good morning, everyone! Happy Veteran's Day! To the active and retired military and their spouses, children, and other family members who have selflessly served or are serving in our military, a big thank you! :thumbsup2

Ok, so on a separate topic, I have read through all the recent posts on our thread, so trying to keep caught up now. :thumbsup2 I don't get on here as often as I'd like. Life is a bit hectic lately, but will try to make it on more often.

I am a bit late on this, as I am just getting caught up with the posts, but wanted to say welcome to Heather and Rose! :welcome: I am fairly new to this group too. Next year will be my first trip. This is a very welcoming group of gals. The hardest part for me was just getting the nerve to do my first post to introduce myself as I am on the shy side. In fact for someone who blabs a lot in person, I can be terribly shy when I don't know people. Initially joining a group of people you don't initially know can be overwhelming, but I'm glad I jumped in. Everyone has been so kind and welcoming. So to the future diva who is reading this post and having similar initial fears, but wanting to join our group, please don't be afraid to post. If I could do it, anyone can. :thumbsup2

Also, to the gals that have been discussing about taking a day offsite from DL during next years Diva Trip and going to see Hollywood, Disney Soda Shop, beach, or other, that sounds totally fun to me. I would be in for doing that. I love Disney and all, but it would be a blast to branch out on one of the days. :woohoo:

Hello, ladies! Happy Memorial Day. Those of you who are home today, enjoy time with friends and family. If you have plans to go out and about, be safe. Lots of people on the roadways today.

And to all those who served or are serving in our military, thank-you!!

Woohoo! Now I'll just have to make it work! I'm trying to drag my best friend and her mom south with me before they move to Tennessee, but they're being stubborn. They insist we can go to WDW when I visit them, but it's not the same!
Nope, not the same. Although, I am tempted to go back to WDW in 2014 which is when the very last of the rides will be done in the new Fantasyland. It looks pretty awesome! And I love the princesses. :rolleyes1 ;)

Ok, I am such a procrastinator, as I have been meaning to do this for a long time. I just sent you a photo on FB. I am hoping you are able to grab it and post it on the front page.
It's up there. You're official. :thumbsup2

I changed yours and added the new one. Looking good!! :)

We are so glad to have you and all our new ladies! It is a fun group, and I hope we get many more to join in. :dance3:

9 more months to go, as of yesterday! It's like waiting for a baby. lol

Good morning! I hope everyone is having a lovely and safe Memorial Day. Emma and I are heading to the cemetery in a bit for a ceremony, then we might hit up a movie this afternoon.

Boo!

Scared ya didn't I?

Yeah, I know you thought I disappeared, but I didn't. I'm still heeeeere. ;)

Wishing you all a safe, fun, and meaningful Memorial Day! :grouphug:

Thank you Beth :)
No prob. :thumbsup2

What movie did you see?

I was looking forward to "Dark Shadow" with Johnny Depp, but then I read reviews that said it wasn't very good, so I decided to skip it. Did anyone see that one?
I am now waiting for "Snow White and the Huntsman" and "Brave" both coming out in June.

For the Retro Rate, do you still have to have one of those coupon books to get it? That's what I had to do a couple years ago, and had to order the book off of ebay. Just want to know if that's changed.

Also, I'd like to say that I might be bringing my sister in-law along on the trip, if you guys don't mind another member. I will try to get her on the DIS, but she isn't much of an internet person, but really a lot of fun. :goodvibes

We saw Men in Black III in 3D, it was great, we had fun. We saw trailers for both Brave and Snow White on the flat screen in the lobby before going in, we're looking forward to both of those as well.

You don't need the Entertainment Card for the Retro Rate. You do need to call the HoJo directly and not the toll-free#. Also make sure you read up on their new cancellation policy as it pertains to the Retro Rate.

I hope your SIL gets to join you!!!

WELCOME !Feel free to tell us your name.:goodvibes
I'm watching Alice in Wonderland, Depp version. I didn't see it when it came out. It's ok, not my fav version. I really like one that was made for tv many years ago. It was full of celebrities.
It was so nice to have 3 days off. On Sat. I had a visit from a friend from Jr. High, we hadn't seen each other in 42 years !
Today was just hanging around the house and some yardwork which I love. My tomatoes are doing great with lots of toms. Can't wait to make salsa.

Morning all. Hope everyone had a fun weekend. Girls and I went and saw MIB on Fri night but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Girls liked it though. Then Shane's b-day is today so we celebrated on Sunday by playing golf and having a bbq at mom and dad's. We still do family stuff together for those wondering. And then yesterday the girls did a race downtown. Katy did track at school this year and is loving running. She did a mile race last weekend for the school districts and the race yesterday was a veteran's race. I don't like running so was never interested but they have all sorts of booths and fun stuff so the girls had a lot of fun and Katy came in 2nd overall in her race and was the 1st place girl. So besides her finisher medal she is going to get a plaque so that is exciting. Then since it was at the same park where the zoo is we did our annual zoo trip. It was a nice day.

We have two weeks and 1 day left to school is out and the girls have a TON of stuff going on so it is going to be a busy time. It's all fun stuff though and we are really looking forward to everything coming up including going to see Wicked with mom on the 14th and then our vacation on the 24th.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Hello! We had an eventful weekend...

DBF and I went to Sea World on Sunday and then spent a few hours Sunday night and all day yesterday at Disneyland. Sunday night was SO packed! We were there from 10pm-closing and it was bad.

Then when we got back to our room at the HoJo we realized that the AC had been blowing hot air the whole time we were gone so we had to switch rooms at 1:30am :sad2: But they did switch us to the 2-room suite on the 7th floor of building 1 (with an awesome Disney view!) because it was all they had left and they gave us till 1:00pm to check out. Not bad when I only paid the Retro rate! :thumbsup2

We decided to get up and make rope drop on Monday and got so much done in the first 2 hours then headed to DCA when they opened and did a bunch more rides.

Around 11:30 we went back to the Hojo and rested a bit until 1:00pm had lunch at Subway and then headed back in to the parks until 8:00pm.

When we got back to our car at the Hojo we had a flat tire and the spare was bad too. :sad2:

Had to wait for AAA to arrive and tow us home. So it was a late night for us but overall a good weekend.

DBF said if he knew we weren't going to be the ones driving home we should have stayed until closing. :rotfl:

Oh, and I noticed that the Quizno's next to Carousel Inn is no longer there. They are changing it in to a pizza place.

Good morning ladies! I hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend. My weekend was jammed pack and I'm totally feeling it this morning. I can't stop yawning, plus I think I'm getting sick .

Also I've been taking baby steps in a relationship :scared1: and It's all so foreign to me (the whole dating thing). I've known this person for about 12 years and maybe that's why it's strange. You go from being friends to more and it takes a little time to get used to. But on the plus side, I know I can be myself around him since he has seen me at my worst and my best and vice versa :upsidedow.

Wow Sarah....so much good & bad in such a short time......lol Glad you both could laugh about it all. :rotfl:

I knew that Quizno's was leaving (boooooo) but hadn't heard of the replacement. So thanx for the heads up on that!!

So I wasn't feeling old as it was....but this morning I realized I graduated 32 yrs ago today!! I imagine we have Divas that aren't even that old yet....... :headache: :scared:

Hope everyone had a great weekend & this week goes by quickly for you!!! :woohoo:
