Bye Bye Scavy Mel and welcome Bridget as head honcho.
After 2 years on the committee I am also stepping down. I really enjoyed making the totes , necklaces and attache cases. The reason why I am stepping down is because I miss playing. I can't wait to see what the new committee will have in store for us next year!

For some of you newbies out there, Dawn came up with the idea to start a scavenger hunt. She asked me if it was a good idea and to help. I said most definitely, and shortly there after Miss Wendy/lady joined us. There was a couple of times she wanted to throw in the towel, cuz she didn't think anyone was interested. I encouraged her and said we would not give up...the ladies will come around. Sure enough you all did, and that was that.

Anywhos, sometimes I wonder if some of you think that I should retire. But I have a hard time letting go, because of the memories Dawn, Wendy and i had putting the first one together. Kind of a kindred spirit feeling I have. It's hard to explain.

I know one of these days, I will truly retire, but for now, it is something I truly love doing, and I know that Miss Dawn is looking down on all of us and smiling.

I know Wendy feels the same way as me. So for her to step down, is a big deal. Big hugs to you sweetie.

I think that the scavenger hunt sounds like a fun idea. And I think your reasons for continuing to do it are great reasons. Never got to meet Dawn, but she sounds like she was a great lady.

Good morning, ladies!! Hope you all had a nice weekend.

The weather here has been gorgeous!! It made running errands on Saturday much more pleasant.

It is hard to plan a time that is good for everyone. As long as it is not the "ski week" which I never heard of getting a week off in February until this year. (A co-workder knew exactly what it was)

I had never heard of it either. Go figure. Now we know what a mess it is!!

I'm tired. It's been a yard work weekend here. The comfy patio chairs are out of the garage and on the patio. The plants have all be pruned of dead stuff and trimmed back or pulled out.

YAY for the Scavy hunt committee!

I know that I had a great time during the scavy hunt. Especially trying to find the disguised committee members in the different lands....so fun....kind of like playing a game of Where's Waldo in the park.

But this fat girl was exhausted afterwards. And in pain. I was a done doggy for the day and had to go back to the suite. But apparently I wasn't the only one since several divas were already in the suite, and we had kind of a little afternoon party. That was fun too.

Next year though, I may have to take the afternoon, after-scavy hunt party to the hot tub.

My parents arrived in Anaheim a few hours ago. Last month they bid on a Disneyland vacation package from the Make-a-Wish Food and Wine event and won. I tried giving them lots of tips (and many reminders to use FP), but I think I may have confused them It does make me proud that they are spending their 25th anniversary in the Land! oh tear.

What a great trip! I hope they have a wonderful time.

Ladies, I would like to announce that Bridget will be taking over the reigns for the scavvy committee.

So from now on, she will be your announcer and first contact person.

Mel you'll be missed as the head-honcho but I'm positive Bridget will do a wonderful job Thanks for all your hard work! I know sometimes we all need double "quiet coyotes" to get our attention. It's just our love of the game.

We're getting ready to head out & go to Portland. Michayla's pre-op appt. is at 7:45am & we're there all day....ending the day with a sedated Echo. Surgery is Tuesday.....so please be thinking of us & praying for her!!! I'll have my laptop most of the trip (Tues will probably be the only day I don't)....so you'll have to watch FB for updates, as I can do those from my phone.

Capri, I loved the spy part too. But I'm with you, I was worn out. You weren't the only one who went back to the villas. There was a group at mine too all catching some much needed zzzzzzzzzz's.

Yes you can get a side order of chips. (Those chips are good!) A side order of chips and a large soft drink was under $5 with an AP discount. I can't remember the exact price of the chips, though.

Off to Target, sis needs some time away from her "nut house". I could hear her boys playing, laughing and tearing around in the background when she called.

I caught "nut house" and had to respond. My last name is McNutt. No kidding And both my SIL and have plaque on our walls that says "Welcome to the nut house" Love it! And yes we have boys too
