I told my mom worst case scenario if it REALLY bothers me I can get off when we stop in Catalina the next day and just drive up to Disney and hope to find a cheap hotel and they can stay on the boat.

I can get off when we stop in Catalina the next day and just drive up to Disney and hope to find a cheap hotel and they can stay on the boat. Hopefully that won't happen but glad we won't be in Florida with our first stop being on some Island LOL.

Glad you were able to move the trip. We have had groceries delivered to the villas from Vons several times. It is very easy. The Grand will sign for and hold your groceries if you are not there - they have fridges and freezers. You just can not have alcohol in the delivery if you won't be there to sign. If you are also ordering alcohol, then you need to choose a delivery window when you will be available. I have it delivered prior to arrival so once we are in the room, I call down to Bell services and they bring them up. It makes life very easy!

Guess what I am going to be doing for the Superbowl this weekend?! I will be spending the weekend at DL. We were able to get the retro rates and are driving down after I get off of work on Friday and heading back home Sunday late afternoon. I've heard SB Sunday is dead...here's praying! Does anyone care to join us?

Ok Ok you guys can laugh at the do do LOL but what I MEANT was I know they have ferries or boats or whatever for people who go from the mainland across to Catalina for the day. So what I MEANT was that I would try and take one of those and then rent a car on the other side. BUT it is all irrelevent because after talking to several people we decided we are not going to do it. YES it sucks cuz it is so close and my mom will lose some money BUT she agrees having SEEN me get violently ill more than once on planes and boats and she doesn't want our trip ruined. Sure we could still try to go and it might be fine but neither one of us wants to risk it. SOOOO to make a long story short we aint going.

We are still flying in to LA on Monday but now we are going to spend a day farting around Hollywood and then drive down to San Diego for a day and just do some other fun stuff. But the GOOD news is we can probably go to the M&G now and we will be around on Wed and Thurs if anyone wants to get together. We will have the girls of course so that is a big prerequisite and I know that this is a "ladies trip" so for anyone who doesn't want to see any kiddos then obviously that would not be the case. But for the M&G and some of the stuff on Fri and Sat we won't have them with us.

Anyway that is my news and TG I can finally get on this things. SHEESH! What a nightmare!

I'm sorry the cruise didn't work out. But I feel your pain. I'd be scared, too. I just hate feeling sick to my stomach!

Good thing you are planning to leave the girls elsewhere when you spend time with this group. I won't name names, but you know how wild some of them can get. LOL Definitely don't want to corrupt those sweethearts of yours. Best to let them have their separate kid fun, while you have your adult time.

And hey, maybe one day you'll take a cruise on a bigger, better, newer ship!
