Thank you Lulubelle!

We leave Wednesday morning and I am getting sooooooo excited, I've just got to make it through one more day at work. The lousy thing is both DH and I woke up with colds this morning so we're taking vitamin c, zinc and tons of fluids in the hope that we can kick it quickly, I really don't want to sick at Disney again.
Get well now, and have fun! :cool1:
Well hello gals! You all have been so very chatty! I guess I have to say I am like Cheryl. Easy, that is. Not sunburnt! Not that particular about shirt color. I know that whatever it ends up being, it will be stunning with our Mel at the helm.

Speaking of which, I never got a shirt last year:( Any chance of getting one now???

Just 60 ish days until my DW trip and I am so excited I could burst! Dying to see Carsland too!
Yes Tracey, I have extras! PM me.

BINGO! Think this is a great option. My suggestion:

Wed - Solid color - let's pick a color and have it always be the same. Red works for me
Thurs - Lime Green and always Lime Green on M&G
Fri - New Group Tee - Scavy Hunt Day - always new group tee
Sat - Last's years Tee - always the previous year's tee
Sun - Favorite Disney tee - always your favorite Disney Tee
Sounds Ok to me! :thumbsup2

I'd really rather wear my favorite Disney tee into the park though, instead of wearing it home. :rolleyes1

My only problem with the favorite character t-shirt is that it would be hard to spot one another. But if it's the last day I guess that maybe wont bother too many people? It still would me though.

But I'll go ahead and say it: please no red shirt day :(
Well, I understand your point. It's true we won't be all matchy-matchy, but something had to give, and I think it will be ok. It's the best way to allow everyone the chance to wear previous favorite Diva shirts, OR a character shirt if you don't have a Diva shirt, or just don't want to wear a Diva shirt again. Can I say Diva one more time? lol

Can I ask why no red? :confused3

Sorry - I also did not mean solid although that is how I wrote it. Really just meant to choose one color
I'm the one who kept referring to it as solid. My bad!

So you think it would be better for everyone to wear their favorite Disney tee on the first day (Wednesday) and then wear a solid color tee on the last day?

Yeah, I kind of get that. There are fewer ladies on the first day, but everyone is still around on the last day. With so many ladies still there on the last day (that morning anyway), having a single color that day would be better....right?

Favorite Disney character? ok, this works for me !

I don't think anyone would miss you walking around with that face on your shirt! Haha!

I am not sure I will find a shirt with my favourite character, unless I get creative and make one, so I might have to settle for my second, which is Mickey, so shouldn't be too hard.

On the other hand, after thinking about it, it would probably be easier to find/spot one another if we all wore a new decided single color on the first day. Especially for any new ladies who come in on the first day but are not really able to recognize anyone yet.

And then wear a favorite Disney character t-shirt on the last day.

That's a good point!

I like option 3, although I don't have any of the previous year's tees (made my own purple tee for purple castle tee day in 2011). I will probably do the same when I attend in 2013. I bought a Disney tee that I loved and dyed it the same shade of purple as I thought everyone else was going to wear. I got pretty close, too.

Here's what it came out to...

I'm in the center of the photo, blondie with a big ribbon on my chest.

Not bad, huh? I'm really excited there's a lime green day, BTW

Hi Marie! I'm glad you will be joining us this time! We missed you last year.

Good morning, ladies! Happy hump day! :cool1:

Trudi, you should definitely wear a shirt with Billy! I bet Tina will have one, too. ;)

I agree with this. If we wear our fave Disney shirts on day one (Wed), then we'll actually get to wear them into the parks. On Sunday, some people are leaving early and therefore aren't planning to enter the parks that day.

Even though the official start day was changed to Wednesday, I know that not everyone is coming in that day. And those who are, all have different arrival times. Some are coming in early, some are coming in after work at night. If we have some planned meets/meals for those there that day with set places and times, it won't be hard to find each other. Plus we always exchange phone numbers.
Also I think Wednesday will actually have the least opportunities for group photos, so it doesn't matter if we don't match/coordinate that day.

Thursday when more people are there, and we take photos, we'll all be in lime green.
Friday, all in the new group tee.
Saturday, all in the prior trip tee, in this case pink.

Then on Sunday, if we are all wearing red, for example, I think that will look nice for the photos at the Mimi's farewell breakfast. JMO

I get enough red working at Target :rotfl: If it ends up being the color for the day I definitely will find an alternative.
Yes, but that's boring red. There are so many different shades/hues of red. And styles! Don't pick the same style that you wear for work. You can do it. I have faith in you. ;)

Mickey! He's on my favorite Disney shirt. But he's all mad and yelling, not sweet and cute. :rotfl:

The tough Mudder is 13 miles?!?! Yikes! I was tired after the 5K Mud run I did in April. :rotfl: I've got another Mud Run next month but it;s also only 3.1 miles.

It can range from 11-13 miles, and up here in Nor Cal, it is up and down the mountain. The elevation will most likely kill me:scared: I am excited though! I will be doing the Mud Run in October like I did last year, but am not driving to Hollister for the Warrior Dash. That was too long of a drive for 35 minutes of mud-running :rotfl:

The shirt discussion just overswept me I think. :rotfl: Here are my thoughts. I will just go with the flow :goodvibes I probably will not wear the special shirt more than once though since I do not feel like standard shirts are very flattering on me. I will most likely just find a cute top in the same color.

Also, if we pick a color and stick with it for the last (or first) day, what happens when that color becomes a great color for the new special shirt? Then would we have two days in say, red - or would we then have to discuss an alternate color for the last/first day?

I think it is fun picking a new color each year. It allows for new and old Diva's to find a color they like instead of being stuck in the same rut each year. An influence of old and new - that is refreshing. JMO :cutie:

PS. I would like to mention that I suggested Target first :rotfl: The cowl neck shirts are so cute! Maybe many of you are skimming my posts....:scratchin :rotfl2:

Yes you did mention Target first ... see I read the whole post .... and then I ran right out and got my lime green shirt! So thank you for your orginal post because I had NO IDEA where I would find lime green. I didn't get the cowl neck one I just got a regular scoop neck. And now that is one thing crossed off my list! :thumbsup2

Hey now, I read every single post on here, and reply to as many as I can on practically a daily basis. So there. :snooty:

:p ;)

You did mention it first, thank-you. And thank you Linda for confirming it. :rotfl:

Jen, I saw your post before but didn't quote it. :) I suppose I need to go back to Target......lol

So do we put the clues together to come up with the scavenger hunt theme name? Is that how it works? Are there more clues coming? I'm thinking something like "The Dis-Diva's cruised the PCH and starred in many adventures" but that's leaving some words out. LOL I've never done this before so I have no idea....LOL

Looks like I'm going to be in Reno next weekend (not this weekend) to watch Whiskey Dawn perform at the Grand Sierra!! Getting some friends together and going, should be fun!! Cass has her permit test again today, she will pass this time. I'm sure of it. :) Last night was a lazy night at home, made taco salad with leftovers for dinner so that was easy, sat on the couch and gave myself a mani/pedi but didn't polish anything yet. :) I just decided to wait. lol I should probably do laundry tonight after work, clothes are dirty. haha

Yes. Take all the clues and use them to come up with a theme. The clues are just that, clues. I don't believe each word has to be used in the title. (perhaps a member of the committee can confirm this)

So far we have Kicks, Adventure, Pacific Coast Highway, Star, Fly and Cruised.

Everyone see what title/theme you can come up with using those clues!! :cool1: I want to know what it is already. LOL

For clues, I have:

Pacific Coast Highway, Star, Fly, Adventures, Cruised, Perfect, Kicks, and Now.

Not sure if Mel meant for "now" to be a clue, even though she bolded it. :goodvibes
