It's 54 perfect cool degrees here in Phoenix this morning. We're thinking of taking the kids to see Prince Caspian at the bargain matinee this morning. Then I'm planning on meeting Stacie and Ellen for dinner tonight.

Have a great holiday weekend everyone! :goodvibes

And here we are ... We were at On the Border for over 3 hours! Good thing we left a good tip or they probably would have kicked us out!!!

OMG Beth, I choked on my muffin!!!

I am so excited dates are picked!!!

Sorry, I have been MIA. I am preparing for lawsuit against a former employer. I have 2 court dates in June.

How is everyone doing? Missed you all:grouphug:
Hey Lisa!!! I was wondering when you were going to show up! :cool1:
I almost PMed you, but I figured in the next 9 months before the trip you'd find us. ;)

Yep we have dates so you can mark your calendar. I'm sorry to hear about the lawsuit. That doesn't sound good at all. I hope things work out for you.

3 hours?? :lmao: How many margaritas does that equal to? :rolleyes1

I love On the Border, and I'm glad you all were able to meet up. How fun! Thanks for sharing the pic. You guys look like you were having a great time.

:

Join me?? Where? Walking the Strip?? :rotfl2: Sure, but if any Richard Gere types pull up in a hot sports car, hands off missy!

That's fine, just hook me up with his friends... when it comes to money, I don't discrimate! :thumbsup2

Haha that seems really out of context now. I didn't catch up on my reading before posting!

We only had 1 pitcher! And then the messed up Ellen's order so hers was free, so it was actually a pretty inexpensive night!

Glad to see you back!
Lawsuit? Doesn't sound fun:sad2:

Well, that's too bad they messed up her order, but it was nice of them to try to make it right. And free is always nice. :thumbsup2

So good news, I got the rights from the artist of the Disney Princesses "Girls Gone Wild" art. She is emailing me the larger scale pictures so we can use them if you girls are interested. Idk about you all but I think it's great!

Good night! I have to get up early for church so I need my :cloud9:

Oh and I saw Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, it was good but of course not as good as the original trilogy and they should have made it 10 years ago! But I love me some Harrison Ford and Shia Lebeouf (it's Le-Buff).

Hi everyone!! Hope you all are having a good Sunday. It's nice here, but I'm not sure if we'll go anywhere. Since we have a trip coming up soon, I'm trying to be good and stay home. If I'm home, I can't spend money!! ;) :rotfl:

I just got a call from Cheryl. She's at DLR and is picking me up something that I wasn't able to purchase when we were there last. I heard the Mark Twain in the background and almost cried. Dang, I want to be at DL!!

Hope the DVC ladies are having a good weekend at the parks. Cheryl said it's kind of chilly and she had just gotten soaked on PoTC. Oooooh I looooove chilly weather at DLR!

So Beth, you getting excited? You've got just a couple weeks, right?

Hi Callie, I don't blame you! I want to be at DL right now too. Chilly (even drizzly) weather is my favorite at Disneyland as well. I love it! :goodvibes

I am very excited! I just wish more of the ladies from here could join us on the 7th. I'd like to see everyone!! LOL

I can't wait to be able to start packing. Right now I am just trying to keep everyone well. I make the kids wash their hands as soon as they walk in the door from school, and I'm always wiping everything down with those Lysol wipes! Last think I need is for someone to get sick. :headache:

OK, OFF TOPIC here but I have a question for you all. My girls, Lindsey and Hannah will be turning 8 on July 9. They both really wanted to be in Disneyland for their birthday but it didn't work out. :guilty: Ruben couldn't get the time off then so we will be there instead June 7-10.

Now I was thinking of making this their b-day trip, even though it's a month early. I was going to get them one of those b-day buttons, and maybe a little tiara to wear that says Birthday Girl. Just something fun and cute for them.

But is that wrong since it's so far out? :confused3 I mean I'm not going to tell them to say it's their b-day, just their b-day trip. But I know some people think that's lying or cheating. I'm not looking for any freebies, other then for them to get some "Happy Birthday" wishes from the CMs. I know they'll get a kick out of so many wishing them a Happy Birthday.

What do you all think?

Also I'm thinking of taking them to that Birthday Party with Pat E Cake that they do at the Plaza Inn. Anyone here done that? Is it fun? Is it worth $15 each person? And do I have to pay too, even if I'm not eating the cake or drinking the punch?

Thanks for any and all thoughts. I appreciate your advice.

Totally not cheating. What about CLL? I was reading Riley's K journal, it got send home for the year. In it there is a chapter on her friend Noelle from LV, who sends her treats and likes Disney Princesses too. Kid is going to be a stalker:lmao: Riley bday is July 17th, so we always celebrate her bday before late May or Earlier Sept. She doesnt seem to care.

Yeah, lawasuit not fun. They treated very poorly once they know I had an autistic son and wanted to take FMLA and suddenly less than 2 months later, I lost my jog:rolleyes: So, I am fighting them on it.

I don't think it's cheating at all. It's their birthday trip and that's what matters.

I wish I could come for the day and visit w/ everyone that's going to be there that day. You all are going to think I'm falling apart but I'm having minor bladder surgery on the 6th and will be coming home on the 7th.

Oh well....hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. Take care, talk to you guys later.

HI Lisa!

OK, you lost me on the CLL part?

That's so cute about the journal! I'll have to make sure I tell Noelle that. Thanks for the thoughts on the b-day thing. I mean, I never care when other people celebrate their b-day. I know lots of people can't always take off work and travel right on their actual day. No big deal to me. But for some reason now that it's us doing it, I'm having all sorts of second thoughts.

I wish you the best of luck in your lawsuit. That's just not right what they did to you. :sad2:

Hi Steph! How've you been?
I wish you could come too! I'm sorry to hear about the surgery. I guess it's true that when it rains it pours.

We'll miss you, but I'll be thinking about you and wishing you a fast recovery.

Oh, and thanks for your input on the b-day thing as well. :)

Beth, CLL = Club Libby Lou -- you know, the place where they tramp up your little girls like Bratz dolls?? ;) Sorry, couldn't resist. :duck:

I agree that you should go ahead and get them birthday buttons and celebrate! I took my youngest for her birthday this year in February, when actually her real birthday is March 17. The hardest part was convincing her when we got home that she was still 5, not 6. She'd say "Moooom, I turned 6 at Disneyland, remember??" :lmao:

Details girl--we want DETAILS!!!!!!

Way too much alcohol was consumed by me, I probably ended up drinking a whole bottle of vodka by myself. There was lots of dancing, and my drunk self totally fell on the dance floor  There was a groom-to-be getting way too touchy feely with me and I had to keep pushing him off. Couldn't remember any body's name that I met. We didn't get back to the cabin until 5 AM. It was loads of fun! Especially with the free drinks! They were charging $11 a drink a bar! :scared:

I thought this is very valid picture we could use on the front page of this thread or maybe, I don't know, on next year's shirts.

:lmao:

I can't remember where I found it but I would love to contact the artist to get the rights to the picture to use.

Oh my goodness, I love this picture, I think it would be fun to incorporate it into our trip in some way!

Stay home! I made the mistake of leaving the house and ended up spending $100 :faint:

That's nice of her! I was looking at a map of Disneyland today and almost cried myself.

There's nothing wrong with that IMHO. My family used to celebrate my birthday a month earlier than the real date, because it was the only time they could get off work.

Hey! Quit picking on the Bratz dolls. Just cause they could kick Barbie's butt and steal the Princes from all those wimpy Princess dolls.....:rolleyes1

:rotfl2:

OK, Club Libby Lu, thanks. I never would have got that since I didn't know it had the word Club in front of it. I'd love to take my girls there (and tramp 'em up a bit :rotfl: ) but they don't want anything to do with it. :confused3
I think they would like to decorate the cake at that Birthday party thing. Just not sure it's worth the $$.

I think that's too funny about your DD and thinking she'd already turned 6. Kids say the cutest things! :rotfl:

Hey Wendy! Well, gee, it sure sounds like you enjoyed yourself! :rotfl2:

Note to self: Keep Wendy away from the alcohol at Disney before she gets us all kicked out of the park.....:rolleyes1

Kidding! I'm glad you had fun. :) Especially after it sounded like you had a crappy week.

Thanks again everyone for your advice so far on the b-day thing. I'm just going to go for it and let the girls have their fun, and not worry about it. :thumbsup2
