Now this is almost scary becaue I am an "Amy Sue" too!! lol.

Ewwww SPOOKY!! I can still hear my father in a sing song voice when I was a teenager saying, " Amy Sue-ew, How are You-ew". I think he liked to watch my head explode.

I have never been a big fan of my name, but I am sure Amy is perfect for you!!! (reread that, and it only sounds offensive...not meant!!!)::)

I figure when I am 60, I will go back to Amy Sue. People at work call me it when I am being particularly obtuse, but then it is Dr. Amy Sue!!!

I wish I could do the October meet, I feel out of the loop!!!

Amy (dare I say, Sue).

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I missed you all!!! 98% I will be there in Oct.
Well, there you are! I thought we'd lost ya!! LOL
That's good to hear you think you'll still make it in October. We're going to have a full group. :cool1:

I like the name Amy. It's short and sweet and easy to understand. When people ask my name, they frequently have to ask me to repeat it. Is Beth really that hard to get?
I've actually had people say to me, "What did you say? Bath???"

Ummm yeah, cause you know Bath is really catching on in popularity.

I've always liked the name Jillian. Maybe we could all just change our names and pick one we like for ourselves. ;)

Oh, and by the way, we all wish you were coming to the mini meet too!!!

LOL--I was in Vegas a few years ago at a Starbucks and ordered a drink--they of course asked for my name. I had just driven 5 hours straight across the desert and had a momentary lapse where I couldn't remember my OWN name! The guy behind the counter just laughed and said--you can use any name! so I picked Tiffany! Which he wrote on the cup . . . and then said--remember, what goes on in Vegas stays in Vegas . . . .TIFFANY.

Gettin excited for the mini-meet! Just over a month! Was at DLR this weekend and they have the cutest Halloweenie stuff--I love Jim Shore figurines. They had some really neat shadow boxes too. Walked by Cafe Orleans and could picture us all there having dinner!

Wasn't too crowded--the headliners were of course 40-60 minutes (Indy, Splash, Space) but we walked on Big Thunder (yes, I went--still terrifies me--even in the daylight), Pirates and HM. Pretty much walked on Star Tours and Buzz too. I never got to Fantasyland. Saw the "random acts of Indiana Jones" thing in Adventureland again. Lots of characters about--there was even Brer Bear over by the Haunted Mansion exit--had never seen characters there. And lots of characters in the first Main Street hub after you come through the gates. (Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale, Cruella). Also saw Capt. Hook on the path from Main Street to Frontierland. It was HOT. (not as hot as during the Girls' Only trip though).

Just thought I'd stop in and say a big HELLO to all my lady friends.

Yep, I'm still alive and kickin'.......barely.:goodvibes

I'll keep my name (Capri). It was my grandmother's maiden name. (I miss her.) I hate my nickname though......Cappi. YUCK! Luckily no one calls me that anymore except for family (uncles, aunts, cousins).

[ Saw the "random acts of Indiana Jones" thing in Adventureland again.
I think I said this before but I cannot remember.... Am I the only one who didn't like that? I felt it made a crowded area in front of Indy and Jungle Cruise, even worse because everyone just literally stopped and stood where they were to watch. I had to manuever around so many people, it was frustrating!

Anyway, I cannot wait to be there and meet up with everyone and see all the Halloween goodies!!!!

I'm looking forward to this trip so much that I'm getting nervous about it now. I'm afraid because I'm so excited about it, that something will go wrong just beforehand like the van will break down or someone will end up really sick.....:sad2:

(oh, you know I had to! )

Hello everyone! I am back in school and now busy once again. Not like I wasn't busy before, but you know what I mean. I am looking forward to the mini meet. I even put a counter for it on my myspace. A little lame I know, but I dont care.

I think it is a good idea for all of us to change our names. Maybe we can do that one night on the girls trip. Just for giggles you know. We can all go by our alias or something.

Amy - no worries AmySue...I like your name.

If I'm not mistaken, the other Stacie is also a Stacie Leigh/Lee.

And who knows, Bath could make it on the top 10 names next year.

Cappi!
Silly nickname for such a pretty real name. I see what you mean Capri.:)

Anyway, nice to hear from you again! I have caught a few of your posts on the WDW boards and thought, "hey, I know her!". I am over there somewhat, too as we are going Jan 15-21.

Beth, do not stress. I KWYM, but just DON'T DO IT!!! Your trip will be just fine.

DH keeps switching the TV back and forth between Obama's convention and the Seattle/SD football game (I don't like either). It's kind of sad that the Olympics are over, we really enjoyed a lot of it. Oh well, hey, a new "Deal or No Deal" starts in three minutes!:sad2:

Speaking of names, I always thought I had a common, boring name from the 50's-60's. I always LOVED Stacy and Marissa. Honestly. I picture Stacy as a cute and smart blonde (there were a few in my school) and Marissa as a petite popular brunette (a few of those, too). So , I am definitely more of a Stacy. Stacy it is for me.

...what do you mean there are already two Stacy's?:confused3 NO FAIR!!!

No worries...if we are changing our names, I won't be keeping Stacie. I think I might be more of a Lola, or a Scout, or a Talulah, or a Princess, or something really out there.

And here I had you pegged as a "Kandi" or a "Bambi". ;) :rotfl2:

That it too funny. I was trying to think of the most porn star name I could come up with, which was Bambi!! The whole lingerie pillow fight (LPG) storyline!!

Maybe I could just go with YAM as my "name". In High school someone miskeyed my name, so I was Yam for a semester. My boyfriend took to calling me Sweet Potato, or just SP!!! How cute we thought we were in our teens!!!

It is funny how many people are just not that big on their names. I just always feel that I am too nasty, sarcastic and caustic (doesn't everyone want to hang with me now?;) ) for a name as sweet as Amy!!

As for Kandi, I work with a Kandee who is the most bitter negative human being I have ever experienced. I blame her parents for naming her that!!!

Well at least on the Top 10 celeb baby names. I would expect to find a Bath in those circles. LOL

Thanks. I'm trying not to.

Those sounds like stripper names! Is that to go with your new stripper shoes and Hooters shirt. :rotfl:

:rotfl: Awww, that is kind of cute. :goodvibes

Now how many of us plan to call Amy Sweet Potato at least once during the trip?? :rolleyes1

:rotfl: Now we can all find our dancer names!! :rotfl:

Um yeah, just call me Vanity. ;)

And you can find out your real name's hidden meaning:

Mine was surprisingly accurate!! :scared1:

What Beth Means
You are full of energy. You are spirited and boisterous.
You are bold and daring. You are willing to do some pretty outrageous things.
Your high energy sometimes gets you in trouble. You can have a pretty bad temper at times.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are a seeker. You often find yourself restless - and you have a lot of questions about life.
You tend to travel often, to fairly random locations. You're most comfortable when you're far away from home.
You are quite passionate and easily tempted. Your impulses sometimes get you into trouble.

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.
Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia.
Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.

Ha :lmao: My stripper name is Fantasia :thumbsup2

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.
You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.
You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong.
You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know.
You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

Love it!

Hey, good to see you......Cappi. :rolleyes1

(oh, you know I had to! )

Cappi!

Anyway, nice to hear from you again! I have caught a few of your posts on the WDW boards and thought, "hey, I know her!".

Oh Beth, you are a brave, brave woman to call me that!:goodvibes

I didn't mind Cappi when I was a little kid, but as I got older (3rd grade and up), my oh-so-wonderful older brother tweaked it a bit (as any butthead older brother would do). His warped mind came up with "Cat-pee" or "Crappy", and his loser friends picked up on it and they started calling me those names too. So, I tossed the nickname for good and just went by my given name of Capri. (Although my older brother called me "Crap" for years and years, and then for the longest time he called me "Roo".:confused3 )

Okay, enough of one of my many reasons why I need a therapist.

Linda - I didn't know you were going to WDW in January! How fun! Hopefully it won't be too crazy over the holiday weekend, but even if it is crowded, I bet it'll be a blast!:cool1:

My exotic dancer name is "Honey". Um, yeah, not really sweet like that at all. "Lemon Tart" suits me better. ;)

And I had to laugh at the hidden meaning of my name:

ou are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily.
You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind.
A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.
You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.
Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

Apparently, I'm bi-polar! :lmao:

Beth, love the "name" link! How fun!

Okay, my stripper name is "Skye". Oh yeah, baby!:woohoo: ;)

Um, I'm not quite sure about the hidden meaning of my name. Some of it is true, but me.......I'm a huge rebel with a ton of energy and most people can't handle me?.......yeah, I WISH I had a ton of energy! I would say I'm the exact opposite of that.

You are influential and persuasive. You tend to have a lot of power over people.
Generally, you use your powers for good. You excel at solving other people's problems.
Occasionally, you do get a little selfish and persuade people to do things that are only in your interest.

When did you see the IJ thing? I didn't see it. Don't think it was ever mentioned, my friend and I stayed with Cheryl over the weekend when I took my DD back to college; had to make the obligatory stop at DL and Cheryl offered to let us stay with her; much better than a hotel!! She apparently has 2 cats, but we only ever saw 1, who kept wanting to be by me because, of course, I'm allergic!!! I have a picture on my camera I'll post as soon as I'm really awake! It was an exhausting weekend; then, driving back home last night we went through some pretty good storms, lots of lightening and rain!!! And DUST!!! I can usually make it in 5 1/2 hours, and I think it took about 7 hours, and we only stopped twice for the bathroom breaks.

Cheryl is the absolute perfect hostess! And we loved her house... oh, to be single again... And we ate at a really neat Mexican restaurant Saturday night... which reminds me, we left our food in the refrigerator!!! Maybe you could ship that to us!!! It was so good!!!!

Hopefully, my plans are going to work out for October and I'll see you all there!
