I got many more cards!!! Such cute ones too! I got them from Tracey, Stacie, Shelley, Linda, Audra, and Theresa. Love them ALL. :goodvibes :goodvibes

Also Theresa, if you read this, I love the sparkly lime green Mickey head you put in the card. What a nice touch. :thumbsup2

I thought it would be fun to add those in. We were at a new Home Depot near my house and they had a ton of them, so I just liberated a few (okay - 20 :lmao:). My dining room was a sparkly mess, but I had fun. I'm not very creative, so that's about as good as it gets with me.

We have snow here right now too and it is cold! It's -8 but with the wind chill factor it's more like -17 :scared1: Our pool is even frozen - I've never seen that before!

Audra - your dogs are so cute! I wish I had a pet!

Morning everyone!

LOVE LOVE all the new pics!! Love the doggie pics and the tree pics and the little boy with the Santa is adorable! Only in San Fran would you get a bunch of Santas like that! ;)

And Cheryl I HAVE to ask you how did you get the costochondritis if you don't mind me asking? On the net it says you get it from some type of injury but I just WOKE up with it one day. I don't know if it was from all the jolting around of the roller coasters or what. I mean I go on these things ALL the time but have never had this happen. And did you have this same itching thing? Did you have it start out in your armpit like I am having? I am just so curious cuz this is driving me insane. With me it started out there and then moved across to my chest and around to my shoulder blade and then that next night I got that bee sting feeling that went down my left arm and across my chest and I thought I was having a heart attack. Shane got me ice and I took some tylenol and apparently (without knowing what was wrong) that was the correct thing to do and that helped. But now I am on the meloxicam and my doc is having me do these stretches to stretch out the muscles and that is basically it. How long did it take you to get over it? I have been dealing with this almost 3 weeks now. It is getting old and this itching is driving me nuts! I took the benadryl yesterday and it didn't do a thing! At least I can finally touch my chest and under my arm without it burning so I know it is finally STARTING to get better but still it is getting old.

But anyway enough of that. Today I am hoping to tackle my enourmous piles of laundry LOL. It seems like I start to make a dent and then it just keeps getting bigger (which is normal I suppose) but with dh doing a side job and basically working 7 days a week I can't keep up. And I was gone all weekend and then last week I had that field trip on one of my days off and I had to do Christmas shopping so I am really behind. Plus I think with carrying all these heavy bundles and doing laundry that is probably part of my problem why I am not healing. I keep lifting heavy stuff and I am not giving my muscles a break.

But anyway I LOVED the snow pics Beth!! They actually predicted some snow here but I doubt it. It has been getting in the low 30's here and we did finally get some rain but I seriously doubt we will see any snow. Our chances of seeing snow here are about the same as yours. Probably even less I suppose. I have lived here most of my life and seen snow maybe 3 times. I think it only actually even stuck once and that was maybe for a couple hours. Last time it snowed here was maybe 6 years ago. So we shall see. We usually have to go up to the mountains to see any.

And Heather I LOVE the idea of the creative memories book. I have the software and actually made myself a disney themed book but I had the OLD software. I made one that had a compliation of all of the trips from the kids first up to a few years ago but I LOVE the idea and I would be up for it!

I went in on the CD so depending on what the others think I am in!

Anywho I am off today to do my chores and probably pick up Mamma Mia and the Mummy. We collect movies (if you haven't already figured that out LOL) I probably have our 1000 dvds. I should open my own video store.

Anyway see you gals later! :)

Morning everyone! I hope everyone is staying warm, it sure is cold where I am.

I love all the new pictures! Disney ornaments are my favorite, they always make me happy.

Just a little update: My mom called Disneyland for Priority Seating for the BB in February. She asked when pirates would be down and the CM said Jan 5 - Feb 14. So it should be open for our March trip. Of course that's subject to change and as of right now, the Disneyland calender doesn't show that it will be down; but if you had your heart set on going to the BB in March, your chances just got better!

Hope everyone is having a great day so far! :goodvibes

Kelly! Yay! It may just be us, but who cares??? Aren't the books fun to do? I figured I was going to make one for me anyway, why not invite others to join in, and make one book with pics from everyone interested. You're the first on my list! :thumbsup2

Good morning everybody! I'm getting ready to head off to work. Today is my last major day of work before the holidays, and then I just have a few tasks over the next couple of weeks. I am so looking forward to this break!

I'm loving all the pictures of the trees and cute pets! And Beth, sonow in Vegas?!!?? How fun!!!! It's been raining here pretty consistantly for the last couple of days, and it's been pretty cold. I even broke down and started using the heater in my house!

I hope you all have a great day! I'll try to catch up again tonight.

Sounds like fun... count me in!

So, I just got off the phone with Disney Dining and I feel like an idiot. Even though Ty is 15 months old now, I still sometimes forget that as a parent of a child that eats table food I need to think differently...

Anyhow, when I made our PS arrangements way back at the 60 day mark, I don't know what I was thinking, but I made a 7:00pm PS for Storyteller's on Christmas Eve. That would be about right or even a little early for Dave and I to eat dinner, but is 30-45 minutes late for Ty to be eating. So, Dave and I talked and decided that for Ty's sake (and everyone else in the restaurant for that matter) that I should call back and change to a 6 pm PS, figuring that if we have to wait a few minutes for the table that we are still in the Ty feeding window. But, anyhow, long story short, the only availability was for 4 pm, and the buffet (which my husband loves!) is not available at that time. I guess we'll end up giving him multiple snacks throughout the afternoon to tide him over... I'm just hoping that we won't have a meltdown in the middle of what appears like it's going to be a very crowded Storyteller's!

BTW, we never did get any snow on my side of Vegas, but my drive in to work today was breathtakingly beautiful as the Strip is framed by snow covered mountains.

Also, wish me luck that the weather changes for the better in the next couple of days. We are leaving for CA on Saturday afternoon and have a long drive through the mountain pass that was closed yesterday. Dave will be driving and he is a very good driver, but I am not always the best passenger, especially in bad weather. I don't care if it rains while we are at DLR (60% chance as of right now for 2 of the days of our trip) but I really hope that we can hit good weather for the trip there and back!

I used to do that. But loved the infomercial, so I tried it. And now I get tons of compliments on my hair. It is pricey, but it lasts a long time and I don't go through tons of other things trying to get the same effect.
Well, that's nice you found something that works. I'm still searching. My problem is my hair is thinning and I lose lots of it daily. First the docs told me it was stress, but now they say it's just hereditary since my Mom and Grandma both have thin hair. I'm thinking of just getting a wig!! LOL

Hello Ladies,

How is everyone? Has everyone finished their christmas shopping yet? :santa: I finished decorating my tree last Friday. Just wanted to share some pics :goodvibes :
Hi Rochelle! Good to see ya! I think we are finally done here with shopping. Thank goodness.
I love your tree pics! So cute with the Disney theme. Thanks for sharing.

Funny thing is that the most stressful part of the holiday I have encountered was sending Christmas cards:laughing:
You're so funny. :rotfl:

I hope everyone stays warm and safe and dry on this cold winters day.
I'm cold. I'm thinking of baking to get warm again. :rolleyes1

Good morning ladies! It's raining hard here in Phoenix, so I'm cuddled up in bed with my coffee and the laptop. Wonder how long I can stay here? :rolleyes1
Why not all day? ;) You deserve a break.

I have an idea, and I want to throw it out here. I have a digital scrapbooking program from Creative memories that includes Disney themed pages. I would love to make us a digital scrapbook after the trip. Everyone could email me their favorite photos, I could include them with the photopass pictures, and make a nice little book for us to have to remember our trip by. I think I could make CD's of the pages, and you could print them out at home, or I could have the books printed. Printing the books is not the cheapest, but they are adorable. Let me know what you all think, and if you are interested in participating, tell me, and I'll add your name to my list.
This sounds like a great idea. I don't have a color printer though, so I probably wouldn't join since I have no where to print them out at. :confused3
Good luck today with the Speech therapist! And don't beat yourself up for anything. He's getting help now and he will be just fine.

I'm not very creative, so that's about as good as it gets with me.
Well, I was impressed. LOL Man, it's cold by you!!!! Try to keep warm.

Anywho I am off today to do my chores and probably pick up Mamma Mia and the Mummy. We collect movies (if you haven't already figured that out LOL) I probably have our 1000 dvds. I should open my own video store.
 And I thought I had a lot with between 250-300. :rotfl2: Do you buy the new ones? Those Blu-Rays or whatever they are called? Those are so expensive!!
Oh, and I'm sure you've already done tons of research on it but have you seen this info: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/costochondritis/DS00626

Of course that's subject to change and as of right now, the Disneyland calender doesn't show that it will be down; but if you had your heart set on going to the BB in March, your chances just got better!
I hope so! I've never eaten there.

I am so looking forward to this break!
You deserve one after all the work you've been doing!

I'm glad you kept your reservation for Storytellers. I think Ty will be ok. Like you said, give him a little something to snack on at his regular time, and then he'll still be hungry for dinner when you guys eat. Maybe bring a special treat into the restaurant for him just in case he does get whiny.
Sounds like a nice way to spend Christmas Eve. :goodvibes

Good luck on your drive! I hope the weather is nice for it. By then, it should be fine. I'm a nervous passenger too though, so I definitely understand your worry.

Aren't the mountains pretty?? I have a view of Red Rock and the surrounding mountains from my bedroom window. This is what I usually see:

DSCF5524.jpg

You just couldn't see any mountains in the pics from yesterday because it was so overcast and snowy. Today the sun is out and those mountains are covered in snow. It's lovely! :goodvibes

Beth, you have such a lovely view! When I look out my window I see my neighbors empty, dirty pool that has some screen doors chillin' in it :confused3 and I see my neighbors house that is two doors down. Then to the right there is a elementary school. The view out my bedroom window in Lake Tahoe is much prettier though, so that makes up for it. :goodvibes

Sounds like fun... count me in!

:cool1: :cool1: Yay!

This sounds like a great idea. I don't have a color printer though, so I probably wouldn't join since I have no where to print them out at. :confused3

Do you only look at printed out pictures? This is what I was trying to get a feel for. I know that scrapbooks aren't everyone's thing, but there are many ways around not having a printer if you truly want to join. I myself rarely look at printed pictures anyway. I'm always looking at my digital pics online, in a slideshow on my computer, on the digital frame, or on a slideshow DVD in the computer. I rarely dig the albums out. I have started making these books for my children since I dont' do 'real' scrapbooking anymore. They end up bound like a real book with their picture on the cover, and pages printed out. I can post pictures of a book I have if anyone is interested in seeing it. Also, the CD would contain images of the pages, so you could just take them to Walmart, CVS, or some other photoprinter and have them printed out. The pages will be 8.5 x 11. I could also look into printing them out myself for you, but would need to charge something for the ink. :scared1: It's scary expensive. So, there are options if you truly want your photos included, and at least have a CD of the pics all together.

BTW Beth, your view is very similar to mine! My mountains are a little taller looking to me since I live at the foot of them, but similar. Beautiful view!

I have had costochondritis several times. It's been described to me as an inflammation of the chest wall between the ribs and the skin. For me I just woke up with it--no injury nothing. Sometimes it's followed a cold or something. The thing I had last year was never diagnosed as costo--but I had many of the same symptoms that you had (the insane itching, etc. ) so it very well might have been since I do have a history of it. It is not dangerous--just annoying (and sometimes sore). Most of my experiences have not been the itching but the soreness in the rib area.

It's pretty, but sadly I rarely look at it. The window isn't positioned where I could put a chair or my bed or anything, so it's not like I can sit and admire the view. I'll glance outside now and then, but that's about it. LOL

I didn't know you had a house in Tahoe! How cool!!! Ruben and I honeymooned up there. It's gorgeous. So.......when do we all get invited up there for vacation? :rolleyes1

Do you only look at printed out pictures? This is what I was trying to get a feel for. I know that scrapbooks aren't everyone's thing, but there are many ways around not having a printer if you truly want to join.
No, not at all. I guess I was confused. I'm not familiar with this software you mentioned. I thought it was something you had to print out. But I love slide shows and have them on my MySpace page all the time. So if that's the case, then yes, I'd like to join too. Just tell me what I need to do. :)

I'm glad I explained it a little more. I could absolutely make the pages into a slideshow, and you can have a disk of the slideshow and a disk of the images if you would like. :) There are lots of options to it, that's why I love it. You can print a book, watch a slideshow, just print out the images you like, or just look at the images on the CD when the mood strikes. The only thing I will need is pictures and names of people in pictures when the time comes!

Oh, and I think Ty will do fine also. I know my child would love to get lots of small little snacks rather than having to sit and do one meal. I bet all the activity at Storytellers will keep him happy also.

I HATE my camera. It takes the worst indoor photos. So please forgive the lack of quality, but here's my tree and my puppy:

Wow! We have some chatty kathy's around here tonight!
Audra- You and I have just bonded. I have a special place in my heart for pugs, black ones in particular. The best dog I've ever had was a black pug named Macy, I've had two fawns since, and while they are the best, they just don't come close to Macy. Your dogs are precious.
/QUOTE]
She certainly is something LOL. They are quite rambunctious (esp the boston terrier Benton) But she mainly just spends her day tormenting the other one :)

Audra ... how adorable.. those are some cute little dogs...i bet they have alot of personality.
Thanks!

Good Morning everyone!

I'll have to look into this KMS 'stuff'. Does it have silicone in it? I avoid it at all costs. I love Wen and Ojon becuase they are sulfate free, and my hair color last sooo long with them. The sulfate free shampoos are also great for cleaning, but not sstripping all the healthy oils out of your hair. However, they do not remove silicone completely, and after a while, your hair dries out even further becuase the shaft can't breathe with all the silicone built up on it. Long explanation, but I've found in the end that the longer I'm gong silicone free, and using natural oils on my hair, the healthier it's getting slowly but surely. I'll look into it though because I'm always up for trying something new. The 'cheap' hair line that I use sometimes when I'm on a 'I'm spending too much' kick is Healthy Sexy hair. Again, it's sulfate free.

I recently started using the sulfate free shampoo from Trader joe's. I never knew the bad things sulfates do. I haven't heard of Wen, but I might try it.

I've recently gotten into digital scrapbooking, so I would love to be included in this!

Come on up! You don't mind sleeping in the backyard do you? :rotfl:

Callie - I love your puppy! Too cute. Your tree is cute too! :goodvibes

Ok, sounds good!! I updated the title too so more people will come and read it (hopefully) and let you know if they are interested. :thumbsup2

I love it! Did you make that tree skirt and the pillows? They are very cute. And your puppy looks adorable. :goodvibes

Very funny. :smooth:

I've been meaning to go back to Tahoe and take the kids. It's something like 8 hours from here though so I'm not sure when we ever will. The kids hate long drives.
