Maybe there's some chocolate down there. :confused3
Ooooh, I hadn't thought of that. My kids are always dropping crumbs everywhere. I'd better check! :thumbsup2

Heather, and everyone else, there is a link in the first post on the front page to your post with the trivia answers.
Those questions were awesome! I had to read the bus driver one a few times before I figured that one out. :lmao: Sneaky......;)

As I told Heather, the first time I answered that question, I got it wrong. Luckily I was able to regain a little brainpower and corrected it before I submitted my answers. :rotfl:

I'm curious...what was your first answer?

I put the bus drivers name was never said. I knew that was wrong though, because I remembered a movie where a kid asked that to an adult and the adult didn't know the answer. I couldn't remember what the kid said it was though. I carefully read that question quite a few times, before I was finally like, "DUH!" and felt stupid. :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: I kept focusing on the numbers while I was reading it and then when I got to the end, I was like huh??? She never said what the driver's name was. Did she?? Then I had to reread it a few times. :rotfl:

OK all, I need your help and opinions. (First hand experience would be great also! :thumbsup2 )

I have spent two hours online looking for GREAT Christmas presents for my almost 2 yo. I'm just not finding much. :sad2: He loves books, things that make music, and little things like blocks, clipos, etc. The problem is, I want something special for him. We really don't need anymore blocks, and have lots of books.

So, I thought I'd ask all of you about what you think of these things in case some of you have them or have seen them.

This looks like lots of fun. I just worry that my 11 month old will fall off of it and hurt himself. Am I worrying too much?

This looks like fun also. He's always interested in the big one at the doctor's office, but I never let him play with it. Since all the other kids playing are just as snotty and sick as he is.

I really like the idea of this. It's rated for a 3 year old, but my son really does LOVE books, and will sit and look at them for hours. He also loves things where he can push buttons and make sounds. I think he could handle the pen because he does great with a magnadoodle. My issue with it is that they are discontinuing it, so it makes me wonder if it's not as great as it looks.

Any other ideas? Help!!!! :thanks:

I'm sure basketball slide will be a hit. Your little one won't get hurt much. Don't worry! Inside or outside? Will take up quite a bit of room.

Dr. Office Toy. Really, they only seem to like them at the Dr's. My friend has one and it is a completely ignored toy in her household.

We have the School bus leap frog and have had it for 3 years. My son is turning 6 and still plays with it. Mostly when traveling, or in the Dr.s office! At home, he'd rather do other things. I'm sure they are only discontinuing the school bus design and not the "My First LeapFrog" If the school bus is a good buy, go for it.

Other Favorites: Geo Traks train set. The best ever! Playmobil toy sets. Cash registers and shopping carts. Good luck!

Toys we've hated: Fold Up lighting McQueen race track, shake and go race track and all those endless hot wheels race tracks. For goodness sakes, how many times can you watch a car go around and around? The novelty wore off quickly.

What awesome advice!!!!

I will look at the GeoTraks train set. He loves Thomas, but is not quite old enough for me to spend the big bucks on it yet.

On leapfrog.com, they say that they are discontinuing the whole leap pad collection because of their new tag system. The first leap pads are out of stock, and they only have 3 books left, and they are on clearance. I hope it's not D/C'd, it would really be great if they continued to add to the system.

Oh, and I agree about playmobil toys. I can't wait until he is old enough for them.

The slide will be in his playroom. Plenty of room, plus it's made to be inside. It folds up flat for storage when you want to put it up for a while.

Is the movie anything a 12 year old could see?

If this makes you feel any better, here's what the reviewer from MSN wrote:

What's in It for Kids

For kids the right age, "Twilight" is like candy, both on the page and on the screen. What's the right age? Probably about 12 and up, though I've certainly heard of younger kids reading it, and, no doubt, someone will bring an 8-year-old to opening night. Gah. Kids younger than that don't really need to know about love's more insane symptoms. Nor do they need to see scenes of vampires biting humans, or even of police-chief dads drinking six-packs of Rainier beer while watching baseball games.

Once kids are already in the cruel grips of adolescence, though, "Twilight" can't make things much worse, though it might lead girls to believe there is such a thing as a gorgeous boy who will hang on your every word and use his superspeed to open your car door for you, a boy who will carry you up a tree on his back so you can enjoy the view, and a boy who will sit and play pretty tunes on the piano while you hang on his shoulder, without hoping for sex in return. Alas, kids, the Perfect Boyfriend is just as legendary as the vampire or werewolf.

Her full review made me giggle.

Heck I can't even get DH to act this way!!! :lmao:

Be sure to warn all of your girls...

I also liked this quote in the full acticle: "(Confidential memo to Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward: Next time, wax your chest hair. Edward is supposed to look like he's carved from marble, not lambs' wool.)" :lmao:

I read the review. She didn't seem like she loved it. And I agree with her on the chest hair! Ewwwww! Why didn't he wax beforehand??

This part was good, and so true:

:rotfl:

Noelle hasn't read the book and doesn't want to, but she does want to see the movie so we probably will. Thanks!

I must have been posting as you posted this! :lmao: Funny we both picked up on the same thing with the chest hair!! :rotfl:

Not sure if we discussed this here yet or not, but Blue Bayou is scheduled to be closed during the girls trip. :confused3

I was wondering about htis since Pirates is suppose to be down. Is the March schedule out already?

I'm hoping to get my name on the VIP tour list now, but hope all of you that want to go can.

Don't be jealous of Edward's love for me.

Hmmm...I guess I was too busy looking at his face to notice his hairy chest. :confused3

You and your Monkeys! I told you, Wendy!

So I curse all of you who even mentioned the book Twilight on this board! My life is forever ruined because I can't pull myself away from this dang book!! And I'm only on chapter 5!! FIVE!!!!!! All day at work I've been thinking "Man! When is work going to be over? I can't wait to get home and continue reading!"

Curse you!!

;)

Hi ladies! Ooops, hit the post button too early -- sorry.

Just got back from Twilight. It was good, but not great. They really make it too artsy and didn't develop the characters enough. Not near enough dialogue between Bella and Edward. They just kept playing music. Weird. I didn't notice any chest hair on Edward either.

Anyway, I have more to say about it but wanted to warn Beth, if you take your dd, make sure you do NOT let her see the first preview they show prior to the movie. It was the WORST thing I have EVER EVER seen. I mean, I can't even believe they showed a preview for something so gruesome and appalling. It was called "The Unborn" and it almost made me want to throw up. I felt bad for a mom who brought her 8 year old dd to the movie, she had to sit through that preview. It was truly awful.

Ok, I gotta go pick up my kids. I'll check back in later.

Another one has been 'bitten'! Are you going to finish the book before seeing the movie?

Hi ladies

Hi Callie! How did things go with your house today?
