Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

Anyone else watching Grey's tonight? I was a tad disappointed with the results on Survivor tonight.

I'm going through the posts I missed and boy do you ladies crack me up. :happytv:

I have other ways of keeping the newbies in line. :rolleyes1

I think I should be scared?

Are Chihuahuas are supposed to be friends or primas or something. Belle + LD! Your doggie is waay teenier than mine. She's not chubby, she's tall, like her Momma. ;)

Well to the ceremony probably jeans and flip flops. I am just fancy like that. To the after party with James......;)

You are just too fancy and high tone, girlfriend. Is there going to be jello shots at your after party?

Linda, congrats on your win! What a wonderful surprise!

Steph, you're so generous about the tags. I would love to have something like that during the trip. And welcome back home! :yay:

Dawn, your siggie is having me in tears (laughing!). I'm praying with you! :grouphug:

You Earned it!:yay:
Just be careful..you know what they say about graduation night. You wanna be a good girl when you wake up in the morning. or is that prom night?:confused3
I can't remember, so just be Good at being a Bad GirL;)

You crack me up. No worries about grad night....its prom you need to look out for. grad night I will be home eating dinner and drink some cider with James and the family. Probably watch CSI that night as well.

And I am so good at being bad. Learned it from you. :rotfl:

Dawn, what a sweet love of a puppy girl! I'm a freak for little dogs.

Can you believe how many of us are being "unofficially" diagnosed as NT's now? I wonder if it's the Magicale/Rosa Regale? ;)

Was that self diagnosised?

See last Dec. I was in the airport coming back from orange county and at my gate was alllllll of these little children. I was watching them.. they had on mickey ears and some had stuffed mickeys or goofys.
I asked one of the mothers.. what group are you with.
And she explained to me that all these children had lost a parent in the war.
My breath was stolen away when confronted with that. It was so heartbreaking to see these little children and know their loss.

I will watch tomorrow on Tivo. But I already heard what happened.

Now I am gonna have to look online to see what happened on Survivor. If Deb or Coach are still there I will be peeved.

I can only pray for jello shots

Hey Miss Callie! It's always good to see you!

Big Hugs for Courtney!

I just came across this thread and since my family seems to be getting bored with Disney, a girls only trip is starting to sound like a good idea. I can't find the links referred to on the first page though - can someone help me out so I can get up to speed on what has been planned?

I'm prayin' with Dawn, we'll add in your prayer request!!!!

Thank you!

Hello and welcome!

The only thing for sure that has been decided is the dates. Those should be on the first page. There are about a dozen posts on the first page dedicated to the trip planning. We have also talked about shirts we plan to wear and what colors. But nothing has been confirmed yet. Everything is still being talked about and discussed. So jump right in.

Hi Carol!
Welcome to the Group:goodvibes

The 1st page has all the information in regards to dates listed.
We are in the beginning stages of planning. It takes alot of time and work to plan a trip with this many people from all over the united states and canada.:wizard: and some pixie dust!

How heartbreaking for those children, but what a wonderful organization.

I'll pray for you.

She's 2 years old. I wanted to get her sister..who was bigger and fatter..and name her chauncita.. but nooOOoooo she was a cry baby and had no interest in me.
Little dog kept crawling up in my hand and kissing me. I would tell her.. no no i don't want a teenie tiny puppy..i want a little fat one.. but Little Dog picked Us. :lovestruc
Sometimes life's not about getting what you want..but rather what you need..or what needs you.:goodvibes

Your story sounds very much like when we got our second cat--Trixie. We went to the ASPCA (for the first and only time in my life 'cause it so sad there!) looking for an orange kitten which is what I had decided that I wanted. Sadly they had no orange kittens that day but I was playing with a little cafe au lait colored one when I suddenly heard the most pathetic little cry coming from the cage all the way at the end. While most of the cages had 2-4 kittens in them, this one tiny black kitten was all by herself. I got her out to play since she seemed so lonely. But, I didn't want a black kitten as they are my dad's favorite and ALL of our cats growing up were black--I wanted some color. However, when I went to put her away she clung to me for dear life and cried at the top of her lungs.

Needless to say, she stole my heart and I never looked back. When we took her to the vet for her first check up she was less than a pound and they figured that she was only 6 weeks old (and we had picked up her nearly 2 weeks before that). Based on some of the other kittens and a full grown cat we saw that day, I am pretty certain that she was born in the ASPCA and that she had spent her first month of life in a cage. Now she is a happy, well adjusted (at least for a cat anyway) 5 year old who enjoys napping in closets, fighting with her adopted big brothers (one feline and one human) and chasing bugs.

Oh, and Dawn--I am totally praying with you. The road will be a long one and the batte may wear us down, but in the end I believe that peace is possible!

I told you I plan to party from the moment I finish my last final and then leave work, till I have to go back a week later. Ive worked hard and I plan to celebrate. I even plan to have at least 2 days in the park. Small party with family and James, big party with close friends and other family, overnight getaway with James, and some down time with Taylor. Yep, Im gonna enjoy my time off.

Stacie, I am so proud of you graduating! I have been going through this with DD - she is completing year four but is on the five year plan.:sad2: Her two BFF's are graduating in two weeks. There will be lots of celebrating at her house. Sounds like you have some fun stuff planned as well as some well deserved rest. Way to go!:woohoo:

Thanks Stacielee! I'm so excitted for our trip to vegas, it can't come soon enough!

Hey Everybody i thought i'd share a picture of my little dog. she's a chihuahua, 2 years old and such a baby. :lovestruc She's helped me through Empty Nest Syndrome!

Dawn!!! She is a total love.
Very funny about your siggie. I never would have noticed if someone didn't say something.

Jane - love your adoption story. So true about how animals pick us.

Linda, that is so great about the prize. I have never known anyone to get one of those, so big congrats! If only more homeowners were like you.

Im jonesing for some park time. I want to scout out some places for the pic and I could really just use a corn dog. But with finals coming up, having to pic up my cap and gown, and a million other things, I dont' think I am gonna get there till later in the month. UGH! I need a break!

Next weekend?? What about then?? I'll be there Thursday-Saturday, not sure what times yet though...

Stacie.. whatcha gonna wear under your graduation gown?

You had to ask, didn't you?

Big Hugs:hug: It's my truth. I can't solve that problem so i turned it over to the Lord. That's all anyone can really do.:goodvibes

Dawn--I'll pray with you!! What a cross to bear!!:dance3:

Good for you on graduating! It is a big accomplishment!

I'm prayin' with Dawn, we'll add in your prayer request!!!!

I'll join your prayer chain, but can we also add a prayer for shorter lines at the corn dog wagon on Main St. It would mean a lot to me!
