Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

You really ought to put Janelle (MommywithDreams) in "our" room. I really won't be there, and she's awesome, and will make a great roomie and has already met Stacie and Heather. And if I miraculously show up I'm sure she won't mind if kick her outta the bed since I just totally talked her up.

I can't believe it!! I had about 10 posts quoted and they're all gone!!! Anyways, the main ones were that Heather, Katie, Callie and I are rooming together... and we can add Janelle as well. We'll figure it out, even if we have to get a roll away.

I promise to not take up too much room...and roll away works for me!

Did you guys go to the dermatologist today?

We did see the Dr today but not the dermatologist. We ended up having to get a referral and we see the dermatologist next week. The Dr we saw was so rude the whole time. She made it seem like he has it because he has excema. Which I've never noticed a patch of excema on him. She just said you're more likely to have it with dry skin. Weird but ok. So she told me to use a very mild soap for him like Aveeno or Cetaphil. Make sure he has the same kind of lotion. She also gave us 3 rx's. One is a really strong hydrocortisone cream then she also gave us a rx for Retin-A. Then another one that is like a skin antibiotic if one gets infected. So we walked out of the pharmacy with 3 rx's new soap and new lotions. I would think if any of these rx's were going to work I would have read about them on the internet. I don't want to lose hope ....I'm just looking forward to the dermatologist appt. Ayden was pretty much one slick kid when he went to bed with all the stuff I put on him.

Well I'm off to bed...I barely got 3 hours sleep last night because of my side hurting so bad. Dr said the torn cartlidge can take up to 6 months to heal.

Shirt colors? Any one have preferences or suggestions?

I believe talk was to wear the last trips Tink shirt on Thursday.
Get a new shirt for one day - will probably be our picture day.
That leaves at least 3 days of shirt colors, not counting that Tuesday. If we count it, then its 4 colors.

I thought the red worked very well. And the lime green too. Personally I think a yellow shirt would be nice.

We can start tossing out the ideas. Anyone?

Oh, and I never jumped in with my thoughts on the theme. I loved the pirate princess idea!!!! I just made my DD and two other girls mickey aplique shirts wearing bandanas!! They got oodles of positive reactions at the park!!!

I like red and lime green. And I've been told I look very nice in yellow--so that would be ok with me, but I know it can be a so-so color for some ladies. so my other choice would be turquoise blue.

Well, as I said before, I think Breezy and I will be at Hojo's two nights and on-site two nights. I may change my mind depending on the rates. But, we must bear in mind that Hojo's may not give us the party room for free and such good rates on our rooms if we only book a couple of rooms. And we definitely cannot afford the rates of a "party/meal" on-site. That was like $50-60 a head, right? I mean, unless we made it our really special meal, which I don't think we plan on doing.

For the Scavenger hunt, I REALLY vote to add a few rides. I think there should be an option of 4-5 rides where you look for a clue and we have to do two. That way each team has to strategize which ride is quickest for them. Then lengthen the hunt an hour. We were all really tired after it (no stopping for pee, drinks, pix, NOTHING!) and we didn't even place. This way, with two 10 minute or so rides, we would get a little rest. Add to the picture that several of us went on WIWF an hour or so after the hunt and walked/stood for 4 hours, I was wiped out. That was the night DD & I drank a bottle of Rosa Regale at the jacuzzi and hit the hay with a vengence. We had a wonderful time, though.
