Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

Now I have the A team song stuck in my head. As far as head stuck songs go, it is one of my fave's!

Thanks Beth, Capri and Debbie for the updates!:thumbsup2
I need to find myself more computer time! :surfweb: I don't like missing all the chatting! :sad2:

Completely OT.

For those of you who have known me for a while, you know that when I first started my current job I was forced out for all kinds of overtime and doubles...all while I was pregnant and really sick, no less. Now, everything in my house has decided to break all at once and I can't seem to get any overtime. We have so many people who are under investigation and on "light duty" and when they are on light duty they basically are given my job. So they are taking all the regular overtime shifts that I used to get and making it so I have no way of earning some extra cash to help pay to replace everything that is breaking. We are now going to have to stay at HOJO on our family trip in September where I was hoping to stay at the Grand Californian. We just won't be able to afford the extra 5-700 even if I was to get an AP discount. Oh well. But still, one of these people has been under inspection for almost 2 years...make a decision already!

Thanks for letting me rant!

Sarah
Hey Sarah, I do remember all those insane hours. You couldn't stay home even when you desperately wanted and needed to!

I'm really sorry now that you need it the overtime is gone. That sucks. We really rely on Ruben's overtime as well, and it's been taken away due to budget cut backs, so I know how hard it is to lose something you count on and need.

I'm also sorry to hear you won't be able to book the GCH. I know your grateful to still be able to go, but I also know it's disappointing to not be able to do it the way you'd hoped and planned. Hang in there! Hopefully before too long the investigations will end and your overtime will return. :grouphug:

I loved that too. That, and the theme from Greatest American Hero.

hi--just checking in.

LOVE THE PRINCESS PIRATE THEME! Hmmmm. Scavvy hunt ideas are coming to me . .. . . .

Also agree Hojo unless we get good AP rates.

I'm down for whatever character meal we do--but of course prefer dinner

Heather--liked the colors on the siggy thing--if we can get it legible I'll add it.

can't remember anything else--have a meeting at 2 p.m. here in my office (was at a client's this a.m.) then a conf. call at 4 p.m. sigh.

oh! and I want chocolate! I have to root around now in my desk. (we definitely need chocolate on the ladies' trip--despite the candy buffet I really didn't feel like I had my fill of chocolate during the overall trip--didn't even have a Mickey bar!!!)

and Target and Costco are my downfalls, . . . and my Mom doesn't help because she goes there and calls me and says "they have this--do you want it? which colors? you should get all of them" so I don't even have to go there to go broke shopping!

Sorry. I understand about the massive overtime when your pregnant.
When I was pregnant with Kaeleb, I worked OT almost everyday, up until 12 hours before I gave birth. I swear we had it all planned out where Debbie was going to give birth in the plant, just in case. I almost had to stay over that night, but they let me go home. Or at 3 AM when my water broke, our plan of action would have worked out.
I hope things get figured out so you can get some of your OT back.
I miss OT.

You guys are the best. It is great to be able to talk about this with people who understand. We try not to rely on OT for our regular budget, but everything has been breaking! Hopefully we will be able to use it as a reality check to get our regular spending under control too, because that was starting to get out of hand...we were starting to spend way more than we had been budgeting for.

I have never seen Greatest American hero....I will have to google it sometime, though my at home computer time is severely limited due to the fact that my daughter sleeps in that room and wakes up very easily. So I can only go online when she is down for the night, but I can't get to it when she is sleeping....severe computer time issue!

I love that. I remember joking with one of the guys I worked with about my water breaking...I guess he had some medic background so all the other guys volunteered him to be the one to assist if my water broke at work. And with the way Kiera was kicking around in there I thought for sure it would at some point. He seemed very scared at the thought! It was great!

Hi Cheryl! I agree about the chocolate. I got my share of ice cream on the trip but not enough chocolate...is there every enough chocolate? Not according to my thighs!

I also love Costco and Target...I never get out of either one spending less than a hundred. At Costco I am lucky if it is less than 200!

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E ... Mickey Mouse (Donald Duck!) Mickey Mouse (Donadl Duck) Forever let us hold our banner high, hi, hi, hi!

My friend Sally was a nurse in her country, she was going to the catcher, as she put it. It was funny. I miss working in the lab with them, but I love having wknds off & working days.

MMMM, peanut butter and chocolate, yum! I agree with the working days, especially with little ones at home. The couple weeks I had to work swings I felt like I never saw my son. We kept him on his regular routine with daycare so he would have stability.

I must agree about the chocolate, there wasn't enough of it on the buffet. I didn't bring any because I thought everyone else would. I guess we all thought that! :rotfl:

OK, I can redo the signature thingy...what do you want it to say? If I make the lettering bigger, it can't say much. pirate:

Since I can't see the picture yet, I can not comment on how to change it...but I am sure you will do a great job.

For those who met me on this past trip. I am going to be getting new glasses soon...I am thinking more rectangular frames instead of oval...thoughts?

I would kill to sink my teeth into a PB Twix.

I haven't had sugar in over 4 weeks.:sad2:
