Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

94?? It's supposed to be 104 here today, and 102 tomorrow!! :scared1: I had to turn on the AC this weekend, first time this year.
Oh man, that sucks. I turned mine on last year in May and kept it on 24/7 until end of October. Ouch!

Wow, Beth! That place looks really good, especially dish you 2 ordered!!
Someday Courtney you'll have to come out to Vegas and we can all hang out.

Hey--have we started talking about a t-shirt design for the trip yet? Last year Tink was our theme--what's our theme gonna be this year?
We should start planning that now. It's going to take 10 months for us to all agree on one. :lmao:

I really like what others have posted for potential shirts, especially the mickey/minnie head with the crown.

I also wanted to throw another DISigner into the mix. Kellybell does really fun things with names, and I think that having her do a Dis Divas design would be cute. She has tons and tons of patterns at http://s398.photobucket.com/albums/pp62/KellybellNames/ but here are a couple she did for me so that you can get the idea.

I just made Ty 3 shirts and 2 mini tote bags with what Kellybell put together for me and it was really really easy to do.

It's a great day to be alive. :dance3:

I can't stand to be hot. Have I mentioned that before? I'm miserable when I'm hot. Don't look at me. Don't touch me.
Everyday is a great day to be alive. :cool1: ;)

I cannot stand hot weather either. I mean I hate it. Detest it. I don't want to be touched so don't come near me or even think of giving me a hug. Not even from my kids! LOL I turn into the biggest witch when it's hot.
The ladies coming in June will be in for a real treat trying to deal with me. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Good Morning Everyone,
May today be good to and for you all.:goodvibes

So just to regroup from yesterday in regards to our planning.
Hey Dawn, wanna be the DIS Divas secretary and keep all the planning minutes for us? We can get you one of those sexy secretary costumes. ;) :rotfl:

As for a roomie list, I'll post one happily once everyone gets it finalized. I've seen lots of ideas and options, but if anyone has a definite room list let me know.

It's one day closer to the weekend. :cool1:
Whoo hoo to that!

The information revealed a meeting had to feature food from the GC and *I think* it was a general agreement it was simply better to use the HoJo's room.
Yes. I think we need to just plan to stick with the HoJo conference room. It worked out nicely, and honestly it's just cheaper and easier.

When I see this is cracks me up and makes me think of you. I think the tag fairy needs to add it under your name permanently so I can laugh each time I see it.

Kinda like i found this one... see.. everyone ages.. even Barbie!

OMG, that is one of the funniest things I've ever seen!! :lmao:

I still think this is a pretty image.. i printed a small one and ironed on my mom's shirt for the girls only trip..then sparkled it up..it was so cute.

Way cute!! We should shrink it and put it all our sigs. :thumbsup2

Cute!:goodvibes

I like the pirate princess theme too. Just not too creepy, if you get my drift. Some people love Ed Hardy stuff, but it's creepy. Of course you are talking to someone who never ever watches horror movies. They freak me out.......can't go to sleep and so on and so on. So yes I am a wuss! :scared:

When I was younger, I used to LOVE horror movies. But now I don't like them at all. They're either dumb (like Prom Night) or too freaky (like The Ring, which still gives me nightmares.). :scared1:

Morning all!

Dinner with Amy & Beth was tres fun last night, but this morning I woke up really sick with nasty stomach flu type thing. I certainly hope that I didn't poison anyone and that both of you are okay.
:scared1: Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. So far I'm ok. :confused3 Knock on wood.....
Have fun this weekend!

Morning lovely ladies! I'm currently watching Alice in Wonderland (can you guess who is at my house? :rotfl:). I'm also eating some breakfast (oatmeal :crazy2: stupid diet), and it got me to thinking about next year. Beth, do you plan on doing a poll again like you did for this previous meet of character breakfasts to choose from? This time I know what I want to vote for, so I'll actually vote. :rotfl:
Yes, we can do that. I know we had talked about doing more then one character breakfast, but honestly that might be cost prohibitive for some people and we don't want anyone left out simply because they cannot afford it. Sometimes meeting up at one counter service place can be just as fun, kwim?
But we do need one character meal for sure. It's tradition. :goodvibes

That's a really cute picture! :goodvibes

I understand why Alice is in "a world of her own," but what's up with Aurora? :rotfl:
She's checking out the hot pirate on the other side of the ship. :rolleyes1

I've had Kellybell do some designs for me too, and she does an awesome job. She would be a great choice to design something for us. :thumbsup2

And I agree, it is really easy to transfer the designs.::yes::

I love scary movies. popcorn::

I didn't even like them when I was young. The Exorcist was big when I was in college I think. I just read an article on it, and then couldn't go to sleep!!!! :rotfl:

One night I was watching one of those criminal shows about a mass murder. I couldn't go to sleep either. I don't even like CSI stuff. :rolleyes1

I know.........pretty sad huh?

This one is sooo kewl!

What a great hoodie that would make.. hhmmm... now i want a black hoodie with that on the back! It will be cold when we are there, right?
I can just see it all blinged up with red stones on the roses and gold stones on the crown.

Beth:rotfl2: ... oh nooooo .. i'm not good at stuff like that. I'm creative and can make treasure boxes and yummy things. But i'm not geared that secretary way.

I make a good MoNkEy BuTLeR:cutie:

Yes it is! :thumbsup2

I'm the same way! For some reason, I saw The Ring twice in the movie theaters and both times it really scared me. I saw that little girl in my room for months after. :scared:

Funny - I had just sent Kellybell a PM. She does have some Pirate Princess designs. I like the Minnie head with the crown too!

hi girls--a couple of things

first my assistant called Disneyland and this is what we found out:

Group rates for next year 2010 are not yet available. However she will email us both between end of August through early September this year to quote rates for each hotel. I scheduled a reminder to call for quotes mid August.

I requested what the rates were this year 2009 for ten rooms to get an idea of what to anticipate:
Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel - $180.00 per night
Disneyland Hotel - $190.00 per night
Disney's Grand California Hotel & Spa - $260.00 per night

Resort fee of $12.00 applies
15% tax applies

Plus, on the character meal for next year--what if we did a Goofy's Kitchen dinner rather than breakfast? I know that at breakfast we're anxious to get out to the parks and have fun--maybe at dinner we'd be able to relax a little more and enjoy? just a thought

I know you do, and when I was typing out my reply I was thinking of you! :lmao:

On a lighter note, my Son could do some graphic stuff too. I had an idea for last year but it was just too late to get it done.

It would basically be a tiara with a Mickey head as part of the design woven into it. Then I wanted to rhinestone it out!!!

So it sounds like the AP rates that were available this year were a better deal than the group rates?? That stinks!

I'm cool with whatever character meal we decide on. I like Minnie's for a late lunch or Goofy's in the evening. Not sure how many character meals I want to do though - buffets :scared:

Plus we have Ariel's lunch too - which is gonna be fun!!!!

This is interesting.. it has a vintagey feel to it... so it wouldn't show when some of us {like me} mess up ironing it on.
She's kinda a pirate pin up.

I agree about the AP rates sounding better!

I kind of like the idea of a Character meal for dinner myself. The precious morning hours can be used for short lines!

I can draw! I'd like to contribute to a possible t-shirt design. Just let me know which elements to include and I can make some really cool designs! I also used to work with local bands and know of some really good places to order shirts from for those who are interested. Just let me know!
