Hey--have we started talking about a t-shirt design for the trip yet? Last year Tink was our theme--what's our theme gonna be this year?

How 'bout Minnie? I absolutely love the Pooh Characters, so I'm up for any of those. I'd like to do two next time. I like the transfer idea, if Tracey can hook me up again, We could also wear our Tinks again, as we didn't put a year on it, and the newbies could just make ones.

We need someone to look into the breakdown of the Grand Californian Villa rental.
1. Is it avaliable for anyone to rent or is a DVC membership required?
2. It sleeps 12, How many actual beds?
3. What's the breakdown cost per bed/room?
4. Can we rent some points on the disboard DVC thread?
5. Is this really even doable.

It may be cheaper to rent rooms rather than points too..... depending on if we can get a great AP rate.

Dawn: I think someone may have done this previously (Jen?) but I was going to have my assistant call and see what group rates would be at the three Disney hotels for that time period.

Woo hoo for onsite!! I really want to do MM this time.

Maybe that could be the theme for the scavenger hunt.....uh oh, now my brain is moving!!! Since we're into the planning stages...what day do we want to do the hunt? Are we thinking Sat. again? Will that exclude people?

Morning all!

Dinner with Amy & Beth was tres fun last night, but this morning I woke up really sick with nasty stomach flu type thing. I certainly hope that I didn't poison anyone and that both of you are okay.

Being sick today is a major problem as I am the chair elect of our major campus awards ceremony that is happening at 4 pm today. As chair elect I am basically second in command and then next year I am in charge, so I really should be there, but right now that is NOT a possibility.

In the meantime I am excited for my mini getaway to Anaheim this weekend. Our plan is to leave LV around 1:30 and to hit DL in the evening after we are checked into the Hojo. Then we plan to do Fantasyland for the first 90 minutes of the day on Saturday and hop over to DCA for the rest of the day so that Dave can see Robert Irvine (Dinner Impossible on Food Network) and go to the Beer & Spirits seminar that are part of Food & Wine Festival. I expect to spend the evening back at DL, where we'll hit a few rides with the FPs that I pick up on Sat. morning & baby swap.

Finally on Sunday we will be at L&S at 8 am, then making a quick pop into one of the parks, and heading off to the Angels game before returning to Vegas that night.

Morning lovely ladies! I'm currently watching Alice in Wonderland (can you guess who is at my house? ). I'm also eating some breakfast (oatmeal stupid diet), and it got me to thinking about next year. Beth, do you plan on doing a poll again like you did for this previous meet of character breakfasts to choose from? This time I know what I want to vote for, so I'll actually vote.

In regards to the scavenger hunt, I must have totally missed the post about going on rides! My eyes just aren't what they use to be. I think that's a great idea and I want to encourage everyone to voice their opinions about the hunt, either on the boards or in a private message to Dawn, Cheryl, Michelle or myself.

I love the pirate princess theme! I might actually invest in a pair of pirate princess mouse ears if we go that direction.

I hope everyone's day has been great so far! It's 80 degrees and it's only 9 AM! I'm scared about what the afternoon has in store.

Why am I still up?

DH has a gigantic head also. He passed it on to my older son.

When we honeymooned, I got him the cute Mickey ears groom's hat not knowing. We hired a Disney photographer to take portraits of us in the park (something I wish they did at DLR!), and I wanted him to wear the hat.


soooo....

I slit it up the back, and duct taped it. Yes he wore it for a few minutes in the park, but that was it.

Sometimes the redneck in me comes out.

This is hilarious!! He was a much better sport than my DH ever would have been.

I like the pirate princess theme too. Just not too creepy, if you get my drift. Some people love Ed Hardy stuff, but it's creepy. Of course you are talking to someone who never ever watches horror movies. They freak me out.......can't go to sleep and so on and so on. So yes I am a wuss!
