Girls Only Trip (old planning thread, see link to new one in 1st post)

Sorry.....I can make some drama for you if you would like.
Now you listen here, you know I have a whip and I'm not afraid to use it.

And if I have to, I'll go to my daughter's room and take back my furry handcuffs too, so be good.

I'm thinking I'll be in the group staying at the Grand Californian or Disneyland Hotel. I really want to take advantage of the Magic Mornings and if we have enough people there, we can each get up to 5 others in to the MM :thumbsup2 I'm staying at the Hojo in August and October, so I think it will be time for a splurge - plus it will be my birthday - woo hoo :woohoo: - not saying how old :scared:, but I may need the closeness of the lounge to help with the aging pains!!!

I'm all for this too as it's my birthday as well (we share the same b-day for the newcomers)! Have you checked to see what size rooms they have there yet?

BTW, newcomers, I was very new last meet and yet people were so welcoming to me. This is a wonderful group of women, fair and giving.

Ooh, ooh - Pick ME pick ME :hyper:

Cheesecake Factory and bowling sounds fun. I've never been to a Cheesecake Factory :sad2:

Woo hoo for multi-quotes :yay:

Oh - I would love to do the Princess Fantasy Faire picture next year (tiaras and all!). Due to an unfortunate Peter Pan incident, some of us were not able to get there on time :sad2:

We need to do that again. This time, no Peter Pan incident.

I'm making SPECIAL jello shots just for our new 21 + er!!!!

What about me? You want to leave a new 27 year old hanging? ;)

You know you wanna do it. ;)

I would love to dine at Club 33. :yay: :lovestruc :yay:

She wants to do it and she will love it.

Oh right. It's only in Vegas that it's 10 to a bed. Sorry.

I've never been to Goofy's Kitchen, is it better for breakfast or dinner?

10 to a bed can be done. just saying.

And I prefer Goofy's for breakfast/brunch. The dinner is good, but the breakfast is better.

I know you will use it.....you're from Vegas. And why does your DD have your furry handcuffs? Better yet, why do you have furry handcuffs? Now I need that story too.

hmm. eating lunch. is there somewhere to get onion rings in DL?

We are not a clique, we've welcomed to the group in the last two years over 65 different ladies, and have never had issues with any of them until now. I think if you ask any one of those 65 ladies you will hear them say how they were made to feel welcome from day one, even some of our newest members could probably attest to that. That is something I personally pride myself on, as does everyone here.
I have only been here a short while and I want you all to know that you have been most welcoming and very sweet and kind! Please don't let anyone tell you otherwise. :grouphug:

That's funny! Well, mean too, but funny  I was terrified the first time I went on it - and just before they closed the doors, this really big guy chickened out and had to leave  WTH :confused3 I was like - there are little kids here. If they're tough enough to do it, so am I........ I was a bit wrong here. I was not really tough enough to do it, more like too chicken to bail in front of everyone else:scared:

My niece (6 years old) was freaked when we took her on the ride in February. The doorman asked if anyone was scared and my niece raised her hand. He turned to her and said, "If you get up there and are scared, yell as loud as you can and I will get you down as fast as possible." Luckily she didn't get it. :rotfl2:

I've been there too! I took my DD and my DNiece the first time too and they did chicken out, they were white and I thought my DNiece was going to hyperventalate so they took the chicken elevator down. Then they heard how much fun their brother and cousin had so they then decided to try it and they had a great time! :)I love TOT!

So, who is planning on staying at the Hojo's in Feb/March?

And who is looking/needing roomies?

I wouldn't mind staying either place but if there is a group that is staying at GC or DLH I would be willing to splurge and share a room/bed there! I do need a roomie or two somewhere though - because I think it would be more fun!! Anyone planning to stay at GC or DLH?

So...anyone know how to make a finger feel better?

I have a "bad" finger from when I was 10 and had an awful door incident. And the other week, I slammed it into the corner of an open cabinet door. As of yesterday, the damage under the (already "bad") nail can be seen, and it's hurting so bad. :( I guess I could take an ibuprofen, but I don't really want to do that...maybe I should ice it...but the bone is *right there* b/c of the door incident and cold on that finger hurts more than on the other fingers...

All I know is that it hurts. :(
Ouch!! Sorry no help here but I really hope it does get to feeling better soon!~ :wizard:

Ok, so my goals for the next ladies trip are:

Grizzly River Rapids (but not if it's cold)
Splash Mountain (ditto)

I need enablers to help me get over my fear of these rides!
Raising hand for both as long as we can change clothes if we get drenched...not fun walking around in wet jeans...they are kind of sticky and I walk like an old cowboy!!

Moses Lake, WA. No, he wasn't a victim. But its the first time I had seen a school shooting on the news. But then again I was only almost 18 and never really watched TV.
I think I remember hearing about that...I wasn't watching the news when I was 18 either... but I am sure I was when that happened, I think I am a lot older than you!

I think since the Segway went so well for those who did it last time, it will quickly fill up again this time. I won't do it, lol, but I know we'll get lots of takers on that.

Minnie's would be great!

And what about a dinner off site one night? Since we are extending the trip by a day, we previously talked about doing a dinner at the Gardenwalk (Cheesecake Factory prehaps?), maybe doing some bowling there? Anyone think that's a good idea?
I'm up for anything! I've done the Segway tour before too but I would love to do it again! It was so much fun! Also I am up for anything - I'm easy remember??:lmao:

So I have to get ready to get out for the day (I will be walking with my hand up in the air). My friend who had the liver transplant is now more active than I am, and that's annoying me, so I've started doing Pilates again and the three of us are going to go meet her for a walk and for Eamon to play in the park. Hubby hasn't seen her at all since her new liver took up residence (it is AMAZING how fast that organ started working...24 hours after it was in its new home and it was changing her life) so this will be exciting. And then we have chiro appts!

Have fun planning!

If no one starts a minimini-meet thread for 5/26 let me know if I should outside of this thread.
I'm so glad to hear that about your friend. It's wonderful news.
Oh, and if you want to keep track of a May mini meet, you can either start a new thread or post updates here, either one. Enjoy your walk!

Bowling sounds great! Off site dinner sounds great too.

Yikes!

My brother and I are both Geminis and it drives my family crazy. My father is a Libra but my mother is a Sagatarius (as is my daughter) so we have some craziness around here at times. And we do the Chinese astrology as well. Back off, I'm a tiger baby Grrrrr.

I enjoy there.

I coulda guessed that! :lmao: I love the Chinese astrology...

I should be cleaning, I should be cleaning, I should be cleaning....I've heard that if you say something 3 times your wish will come true. After the morning I've had, cleaning the toilet will be a vacation! :rotfl:

My must Dos:

Aladdin (How did I miss this last time?)
Parade
Fantasmic!
Tom Sawyer Island-ooops! I mean Pirates Cove
Walk in Walts Footsteps
Club 33 (again!-who wants to go this time?)

Me!! Club 33. Yes!
I missed Aladdin too last time.

Yes, Beth. We must do MUST DO's ;)

Must Do's
Goofy's Kitchen
Segway Tour
Anywhere that serves drinks

:rotfl:

Oh good. I am organizing the Segway tour.

Molly, so relieved to hear about your friend's progress!!!

Boy, this thread is moving so fast today, my posts keep getting lost. :goodvibes

I would LUV to eat at Club 33. I've never been there before.....heck, I've never even seen the door in person. I keep looking for it but can't find it. :confused3

Also, as far as roomies go, I'm easy.....although I loved my roomies from our last trip. I didn't love the roll-a-way all that much though but I still managed to sleep pretty well. :thumbsup2

I know you will use it.....you're from Vegas. And why does your DD have your furry handcuffs? Better yet, why do you have furry handcuffs? Now I need that story too.
I bought them at a yard sale in the neighborhood on Saturday. Some lady was selling all different styles of furry handcuffs. But after I got them home, Lindsey took a liking to them. :scared1: :rotfl2:

I have only been here a short while and I want you all to know that you have been most welcoming and very sweet and kind! Please don't let anyone tell you otherwise :grouphug:
Thanks Vicki. We are very happy to have you here with us.

I knew I :lovestruc you!

Aww thanks Stacie. I :lovestruc you too!

:cool1:

I am down for dinner offsite one night.

Offsite sounds good to me too. It'll be weird though, no Disney characters waltzing around?

I've never been to Goofy's Kitchen, is it better for breakfast or dinner?
I've never been but I'd like to try new character meals.

Am I the only one who doesn't care to go to Club 33?

New Must-Dos
* Goofy's Kitchen
* Movie Night

Oh and Steakhouse 55 has affordable yet delicious breakfast, would anyone be interested in going there for a meal.

Raising hand for both as long as we can change clothes if we get drenched...not fun walking around in wet jeans...they are kind of sticky and I walk like an old cowboy!!

Changing clothes is always allowed, at least in my opinion.

As is washing one's face thoroughly after being in the front seat on Splash.

OK now I have to go get ready!

Well I guess that ruined your plans for "watching tv" that night. Sorry.

I have some ideas for the meet and greet......I will PM you tonight.

Nice goals!

Ooh if only I'd had a head board when my normal finger became my BAD finger! Alas, I had a no-headboard waterbed then...

Holding it up is a good idea. Alas, that means I have to get offline (and we cleaned the house like crazy yesterday, and today hubby and son are playing some Kung Fu Panda game on his computer, so what else is there to do???).

When you were 3, you poor thing!:hug: Mine is my *right* ring finger. Tip is gone, nail is weird, I used to be able to predict weather changes with it! Do you know how WEIRD it is to be a young teen and be able to know when it's going to rain????

If it stays at the same level of hurt I probably will medicate. I just get "high" from even 200 mg of ibuprofen...(and can't take acetominophen and don't like aspirin and definitely can't take naproxen).

NO!

Um, well, OK, yes.

:goodvibes

Only when it finely coats my face. Duck poop diseases! Ack!

eww...duck poop....

My nail is curved.

The cheaper the better!:thumbsup2

Ditto!! More money for corndogs!

I should be cleaning, I should be cleaning, I should be cleaning....I've heard that if you say something 3 times your wish will come true. After the morning I've had, cleaning the toilet will be a vacation! :rotfl:

She will bring her dear friend Debbie from Washington!! 'member I have wine & chocolate!

Sorry.....I can make some drama for you if you would like.

That's why we lurve you! Your ethnic ways will get us quite the deal!

Now you listen here, you know I have a whip and I'm not afraid to use it.

Awww, I'm sorry! I didn't realize you weren't comfortable there. I would have totally switched with you. :flower3:
