Oh Janelle, I am so sorry to hear that. I was so looking forward to meeting you. Darn. You will be missed. Hang in there. I know it's hard with the holidays around the corner, but you have so many friends who care for you, a real "prince charming" who loves you and Ayden to pieces, and of course, Ayden who is just adorable and a real blessing. Those are the things that matter most in life.
And of course, you must continue to post here and keep in touch with us all. You are part of our group always, no matter what.

Survivor is on tonight. I am hoping we all get to see Laura get the boot! We'll see what Russell does to entertain us next.

Count me in for the taco salad!! YUM! I love anything Mexican actually. Lately I've been really craving tamales. I think we'll have those at Christmas.


I cannot wait for Survivor tonight. The last two were so good.



Thanksgiving is one week from today!! What's everyone doing? Anyone doing any traveling? Going to the in-laws? Having family over? Doing any volunteering? My SIL is helping deliver meals to needy families. One year she worked serving food in a shelter. One of these years I'd like to take my family and do that.

Anyone have plans to put up their tree Thanksgiving weekend? I'm tempted, but will force myself to wait until December.

I know we are ALL concerned about Dawn, and rightfully so, but she's so full of joy and happiness in all of her posts, I just know she wouldn't want to be the cause of bringing anyone down. That's my thought anyway. Hope it doesn't offend anyone or appear to be callous or uncaring. )

Hi girls I am not sure if anyone is interested but I am going to order flowers for Dawn on Friday morning. FTD has very nice Thanksgiving and get well arrangments. If anyone Is interested just PM and we will figure out the details and the price. If not that is fine also.

Deb--what Melody said. I don't think she would be allowed flowers right now--I know when I was in ICU they had to keep them out at the nurse's station because they were not allowed in the room

No real update--other than a cryptic message frm Bob to Sally that said "positive news"--so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Off to a meeting at a client so won't be back until this afternoon. Melody is also getting Bob's emails so hopefully if we hear something she can update.

As for our THanksgiving plans. We are just having my parents over for a small dinner. Just doing a ham and some sides. Nothing big but having the family together. Chris' mom is having her last chemo treatment next Monday so we're putting off THanksgiving with his family until the following week in the hopes that she'll be feeling better. We just felt it was better since she's usually a little run down after a treatment. Just SO very thankful it's her last one!!!!!
We figure it doesn't matter if we celebrate on the exact day, as long as we make the time to all be together at some point. AND the bonus is.....two Thanksgiving dinners, you just can't go wrong.

I thought of flowers too but then learned that Dawn has so many breathing problems that even when she's well, flowers are not advised.

Thank you SO much to everyone for the good luck for Shane's test. I am actually surprised but he claims he will know the results today! I don't know HOW cuz it seems like every other test like this you usually have to wait. I know when my ex took his state boards for his respiratory therapy he had to wait several weeks and the same with like the bar exam and yadda yadda but he claims they grade it while you wait. SOOOO we will know today one way or the other. So I hope he passes. I don't know how soon he can retake it if he DOESN'T pass but we shall see. And Linda you are right it is TOUGH. It is not a gen contractor but an electrical contractor that he is taking but still tough!

Anyway I just got back from the store and got both two cards AND a small gift. I hope she likes it. It seemed quite appropriate so I sure hope she does! Now I just need to figure out how to get it to Mel without breaking it. LOL.

Mel I am going to try and get it mailed either tomorrow or Sat!

Beth we are going to have Thanksgiving at my mom's with some family and then HOPEFULLY go up to Truckee on Friday after possibly doing a little Black Friday shopping Fri morning. We hope to stay up there till Sun morning but not sure. It all depends on if Lynn has to work. I don't know how much snow is going to be up there but there was a storm a few days ago and another is supposed to hit tomorrow so I am hoping that it lasts! Then as I said before we have our soccer end of the year party on that Sunday at one of the parents houses here in town. So busy weekend for us. We usually put up our Christmas that weekend but with being out of town and the soccer party we may not get to it till the following weekend. We shall see. My parents are also leaving for Mexico that next weekend so things are going to get a little hectic round here for me cuz Lynn will be back here (she has been staying with them) and I will have to deal with work solo (equals stressful).

I am home sick for the second day in a row. Yesterday I didn't leave the house at all--Dave took care of taking Ty to and home from daycare. Today I had to take Ty in to school and made a quick stop at Target. Now I am exhausted and I'm off to take a nap.
