Awwww, Heather! I'm so glad to hear all is well and you got your first baby "pic".

I hear ya on the doc being behind and taking forever. My doc with the twins was like that. It wasn't uncommon for me to wait two hours to be seen by her, and even then sometimes she's have to reschedule her appts.
It was annoying but I liked her so I stuck it out.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dawn. I'm sad to say that I'm a little relieved to know she's in the hospital being watched closer, and can have stronger drugs to help her get better. I was starting to worry that she was going to continue on sick for the whole winter. I'm hopeful now that they can get things under control and that she'll be back to her normal self soon.

I'd love to organize something for her. Cheryl, do you know what hospital she's in? I wonder if she can have flowers or something. (Don't know if she's in ICU, and a lot of them don't allow flowers now.)


I went to the doctor today. It's frustrating. I really really like her, but she's always behind. This is my 5th pregnancy, and she's my 4th OB, and I understand that emergencies happen. They don't happen everyday though. I just worry that her lack of time management/patient management will not work with my schedule. I have a tight one. DH had to leave work to go pick up Nathan because I was naked and getting and U/S when I needed to leave. Plus side to this, is that DH got to see 'her'. (I'm thinking positive.)

So, here's her picture! She's 3mm's long and had a HR of 140. The doctor says she's perfect. I'm so glad that she looks good. Isn't she beautiful!

Funny! Of course, she's beautiful! And there's only 1, right?

Yep only one! I made the doc look really really good.

I feel like one hurdle is over. Now on to the next thing to worry about...how on earth do people relax and enjoy pregnancies? There's just so much that can go wrong. We are in God's hands though, I need to trust him and relax.

I just got an email from Sally--Dawn's doctor is putting her in the hospital. She is no better and might even be worse today. I talked to her yesterday and she was bad.

Please say a prayer and think good thoughts for our Dawnikins.

Purple would be nice (it is one of my faves), but it is harder to find a nice plain t-shirt in purple (especially in plus sizes). We're supposed to be pirate princesses

Mel, do you know if you have the castle just as an image, not on a t-shirt? If yes, we might be able to order through Zazzle or something...... What is the wording that we're going to use on these - did we already decide that?

No we have not decided yet on what to say.

I can look into Zazzle, but I would like to look into those other shops first. The reason being as their brand American Apparel, is really nice quality. They feel really good to the touch. You know what I mean?



I agree on the color/size issue...... it might be nice to pick something that everyone will be able to find an appropriate shirt.

I have been thinking the same thing. Some fun balloons in Disney theme, or something like that.

Mel, I was rethinking the flowers also. With her asthma, I wouldn't want to set her off or anything. Those cookie by design bouquets are really cute and fun! They also last long. I've had patients get them and munch off of them for a week. (OH, maybe she's diabetic though...maybe balloons would be better.) I'd love to organize something, but I have no way to contact her or find out where she is. Maybe one of us can contact Sally for more info?

She is beautiful, Heather - truly I'm glad you're past that hurdle and hopefully you have a great rest of the pregnancy! It's amazing the first time you see that little baby....

It would be great to do something for Dawn. They may not allow balloons either though because of allergies. Most hospital here won't allow any balloons anymore - latex or Mylar..... maybe it's different there? Something would be nice though so that she knows we're all praying for her.

Mel - I remember now you mentioned the Americal Apparel t-shirts before - duh! I'm not familiar with them, but if they're comfy

Heather--She is beautiful and you are so blessed. I know that it can be frustrating to wait at the doctor's office, but if you really like the doc then stick it out. It is amazing to me how many women end up with an OB/GYN that they don't really like. And since you are putting your life and your child's life in their hands I believe that this is one of the most important relationships you have and you have to trust them completely. I know that I would get restless when I would sit and wait or have to re-schedule, but I always reminded myself that others were getting the same time and attention to detail that was why I picked my doc in the first place.

As for t-shirt colors, I would love something fun and girly--pink, purple, turquoise, etc. I think any of them would totally set off the disign. And, I am not at all worried about finding them in everyone's size. American Apparel is great stuff and while their women's cut is kinda small their unisex shirts come in about a million different colors. She's not diabetic & she loves frosted sugar cookies so the cookie bouquet might be perfect . Good idea!

Also just an update on the tees. As you might have seen, the poll is closed, and while it was close, we do have a winner!!

T-shirt option #5:

This isn't even the one I voted for, but I'm still super excited. It's really pretty. But then, they all were. It was a tough choice.

I can totally picture this all blinged out.

So now we need to decide do we want this on the purple color as pictured, or on the black as some had suggested.

Even though this wasn't the one I voted for, I still love it. Just as it is, maybe with some more bling.

As far as finding plus shirts in this color, if you look into Walmart.com or look for Hanes Her Way they have shirts that fit the "healthier" size diva in purple. I will have to look again, because I haven't been on that site in a while, but last time I checked, they were there.
