I'm so sorry to hear about Dawn being so ill. Poor thing. My thoughts are with her for a speedy recovery. The thread just isn't the same when she's not posting!!


Sounds like everyone else been doing lots of shopping. Me too! I went to Kohls twice this weekend and will be going back tonight to use my Kohls cash.

I don't know if anyone is interested, but I figured since we have a pajama party theme to our Meet and Greet, some fun slippers might be in order. I picked up a pair of funky slippers over the weekend. Kohls has some cute animal ones, bunny, frog, and even monkey!! Just an FYI. Also just an update on the tees. As you might have seen, the poll is closed, and while it was close, we do have a winner!!

T-shirt option #5:

This isn't even the one I voted for, but I'm still super excited. It's really pretty. But then, they all were. It was a tough choice.

I can totally picture this all blinged out.

So now we need to decide do we want this on the purple color as pictured, or on the black as some had suggested.

As for the trip....I am on a food kick today...have been looking at pics on an old food thread....omg! I want to be at Cafe Orleans now! And even though I can't do the Riverbelle Terrace on Sunday due to the fact that I am doing HOB Gospel Brunch, I still want to do it on the trip. And I haven't had the Chicken Fussilli yet so I want to try that as well as the Nachos from Whitewater snacks! LOL! I am hungry!

Dh is trying a new recipe tonight. Gumbo. We have never had gumbo before but the recipe looked good. We got it out of a weight watchers cook book so hopefully it will be fairly healthy too!

I was kind of thinking the same thing.

I will talk to Derrick and see if there is something we can do, if everyone really wants black.

But remember, our Pirate tee will be on black too. So maybe purple would be really nice to have.
Also it will be worn for our Princess Fantasy Faire picture, and purple would be really pretty for that too. More princessey.

Good point....maybe pink? That's very princessy! Wow, I didn't realize what an aversion I had to purple....maybe it's because my high school color was purple. Whatever we decide is fine. Just throwing out some different ideas.

Here again we have a situation where not everyone will be happy. Some wanted that tee, but only on black. Some wanted that tee but were against having two black tees, and therefore wanted it only on purple. So regardless, not everyone will get exactly what they want, and some compromises will have to be made for the sake of just being part of the group.

I personally am fine with either black or purple. I do think that purple will be more challenging to find, especially for those of us who need plus size. We are already limited to where we can shop, and honestly, I don't recall seeing much purple out there. NOT that it can't be done, just might require more searching. So that's something to keep in mind too. Again, I'm fine with either color. Purple, especially the right shade of purple, is very pretty and elegant looking.

Purple would be nice (it is one of my faves), but it is harder to find a nice plain t-shirt in purple (especially in plus sizes). We're supposed to be pirate princesses

Mel, do you know if you have the castle just as an image, not on a t-shirt? If yes, we might be able to order through Zazzle or something...... What is the wording that we're going to use on these - did we already decide that?

I agree on the color/size issue...... it might be nice to pick something that everyone will be able to find an appropriate shirt.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dawn. I'm sad to say that I'm a little relieved to know she's in the hospital being watched closer, and can have stronger drugs to help her get better. I was starting to worry that she was going to continue on sick for the whole winter. I'm hopeful now that they can get things under control and that she'll be back to her normal self soon.

I'd love to organize something for her. Cheryl, do you know what hospital she's in? I wonder if she can have flowers or something. (Don't know if she's in ICU, and a lot of them don't allow flowers now.)


I went to the doctor today. It's frustrating. I really really like her, but she's always behind. This is my 5th pregnancy, and she's my 4th OB, and I understand that emergencies happen. They don't happen everyday though. I just worry that her lack of time management/patient management will not work with my schedule. I have a tight one. DH had to leave work to go pick up Nathan because I was naked and getting and U/S when I needed to leave. Plus side to this, is that DH got to see 'her'. (I'm thinking positive.)

So, here's her picture! She's 3mm's long and had a HR of 140. The doctor says she's perfect. I'm so glad that she looks good. Isn't she beautiful!
