Welcome back, Courtney! How was Laughlin. Marty's grandma and 2 aunts lived there for several years, and we visited them often. We always stayed at the Flamingo.

Thank you, Tina! It was fun! And hot compared to home (it's raining here). We stayed at the Golden Nugget. There were a lot of older folks there we noticed. Like 65 and older older.

The thread goes in spurts, and people get in little chatter groups, (read cliques), and I don't have the energy to butt in sometimes. I am also insanely busy, sewing costumes, making shirts for our SHinteki puzzle thing this Saturday at DL, and working a lot. I have also been involved in a wee legal battle that takes up a lot of time collecting and organizing documentation and all that. Not fun, but important.

In addition, how anyone can keep up with FB and here, dunno, I cannot. GOt crops to harvest on FarmTown!!!

I was looking at the tye dye site and I saw these....thought they were adorable. We might be able to get a group rate or perhaps different colors...I haven't asked....anyone interested?

I have not been to San Diego yet Lady! Actually I go on Monday. It turns out my sister in law will be there (she lives here, but her Grandpa is there and is very ill), and my girlfriend from here is going down with me. So if you want to meet up with us for a drink, Monday is probably the best day and I think I will be done around 7:30. My SIL said she would pick us up at the hotel and drive us someplace. Problem is that I don't know where to go! Anyhow, no worries. Sounds like you are crazy busy anyhow.

I'm still in Denver but I've been fighting a chest cold since I got here! Ugh! I am feeling better today and hopefully will continue to feel better. I've tried every remedy that's been suggested and I am hoping something finally works! Thanks Donna! Mr. CA is coming tomorrow (it was looking a little iffy weather he would come or I would just go home but looks like he'll be coming here) and we'll stay with my sister for one night and then it is off to Vail!

I have been having a good time despite not feeling 100% and have been playing a lot of Toy Story Mania on the Wii with my 8 yo nephew...who btw has the same cold as I do so we've been cough buddies.

Morning my diva friends and Happy Thursday! I am doubly excited because this means 1 week from today I will be on my way!! WOO HOO! So excited to see some of you again and wishing I was going to see everyone!!

Tina you are SO right about Lynn and the military. In fact we WANT her to go but are skeptical at the same time because she chose the marines and we feel that based on her past that that is a mistake. She has been a bit of a flake in everything that she has done, like flunking out of school, then dropping out all together and she never finishes anything she starts and gives up WAY too easily on everything so we are afraid that by picking THE most difficult one that it will be too hard for her. She says she is doing it as a challenge but she is not going into it for the right reasons. We wanted her to pick the right service that could give her a good career when she got done and she isn't even doing it for the job. She only wants to prove that she can pass the pt! When I ask her about what jobs there are for her in the marines or what the pay is, where the bases are she says she doesn't know! UGH! She is doing her typical thing and not going into it with a mature attitude or her eyes wide open and we are afraid it is another half baked scheme and she is setting herself up for failure. If she bilges out it will be next to impossible to get into another branch and based on everything she has pulled that is about her last hope. I REALLY hope she can go and they can whip her into shape but based on everything she has pulled in the past I have my doubts. We shall see!

Vicki I am sorry you aren't feeling well but glad you are enjoying your visit with your family! Can't WAIT to finally meet you next week!!!

Courtney again I am so glad you had fun and as for the older folks, well that sounds about right LOL.

As for me last night after we dropped the girls off at church we rented a couple movies. We saw the proposal which was really cute and Land of the lost. Haven't finished it but so far it is pretty funny.

It was supposed to clear up here today but it is still kind of overcast. Nothing on the plans for today but just hanging out and the girls have soccer practice tonight. Then tomorrow we FINALLY have a Girl Scout meeting. We are making stockings for the poor and filling them with goodies so the poor kids have something for christmas. We did it last year too. The girls make the stockings and then we buy stuff to put in them. It is a fun craft for the girls and a nice thing to do.

Then we don't have a game till 3 on Saturday which is going to be weird having one so late and then the girls are going to pick our pomegranetes and sell them on Sunday. We do that every year and it gives them a little pocket money.

So that's the rest of my week.

Next week I will only work Monday and probably a few hours on Thurs before I leave YAY!!!
