Just a word of warning--if you're ordering a costume order BIG. They run really small.
On another note - do you of you have AT&T u-verse for TV, phone, and/or internet? We are thinking of doing one of their bundles and saving a little money?
Hey, We are going to be there on Friday, so be on the lookout! I hope we see you. We are doing the Welcome Tour in the AM and then later are doing Jedi Training, but otherwise are unplanned. Oh, yeah, we have Goofy's at 5:30 too. Other than that, no plans!
Hi from Switzerland Ladies!
It's a grey morning here. Kids are at school and DH is at the doctor's for ear aches. Seems colds are going around everywhere. So far I've stayed healthy...let's see if we can keep it that way!
So we have been here almost a month. Wow. Still don't know if it's sunk in, but I think I'm moving beyond just "set up and survive" mode. Still missing some key items that would make life easier, namely washing machine and dryer (I've been washing clothes in the tub, ach!) and our car. But kids are adjusting to school and DH to work and I'm well, keeping busy just keeping the house together and watching the kids. I am still working a bit, though finding it harder and harder to feel connected, especially since I pretty much know I'm a short timer. I have been applying to jobs in Switzerland and have had a couple of first interviews over the phone. I don't enjoy trying to find a job, but need to keep my chin up and trust that things will work out on that front.
Kids have next week off, so we are going to the Matterhorn this weekend. If we can get the car next week, we may go on another mini vaca the following weekend. I'm still hoping for DLP, but I don't think that's gonna happen. Not yet...but eventually!
Many good wishes to everybody! And have fun on those DL and Vegas trips!

Stacie, sad to hear about losing your supervisor. These times are tough, so whatever you do, hold onto your job until you know you have another one. I'm not surprised to hear someone offered you great money, they would be lucky to have you. But still, it's a horrid market out there and driving two hours one way has gotta be worse than your schedule, no?
Wishing you luck on the interview. I hate job interviewing but it's a necessary pain in the bottom! The two hour commute sounds horrible but sometimes if the money is just too good to pass up. Mr. CA commutes 2 hours but that's round trip - it does take a lot away from family time.![]()
Oh, I know and I hate it! Actually I'm thinking of doing a t-shirt costume. It's cheaper and I can still wear the shirt later.
Yep, bummer about losing my boss, but she is getting a great opportunity somewhere else. Can't blame her for that. She is also very supportive of me looking for something new. She always said she wished I would stay around forever, but knows that I need to keep moving up.
I had my annual review today, and let me just say I totally rock. My boss had amazing things to say about me. The only thing she had issue with was my self evaluation that I did. She said I was way to hard on myself and bumped me up in many areas. So I am pretty darn pleased with that.
Yodeleheehooo!
Had an action packed day here in Switzerland. DH is sick with ear infection, so I had kid duty and find a job duty. Woke up bright and early to get breakfast made, lunches prepared and then myself dressed in interview fashion. Unfortunately, I didn't yet have shoes or a proper work bag, so I left in my hiking shoes with plastic bag, hoping I could find a store after dropping boys off and before getting on train to Zurich.
Boys were good this morning, fortunately, and we made our bus on time and I dropped them off at school. Then I went to Migros, which was open at 8:30 am and sells absolutely everything. Found some boots that went with my suit and a bag which I bought with cash (since I don't yet have my maestro card set up and Visa and AmEx don't work at Migros). Went to public restroom to change out shoes and bag and then proceeded to train station trying to look professional. Made it to the interview in Zurich and had my interview with a placement agency who is going to propose me as a candidate to eBay for a 6 month position. So this is my second run in with eBay here in Switzerland. Send pixie dust. I think it would be way cool to work with eBay here.
After interview made it back to Baden to sign up for some German lessons with Migros. This super shopping store does more than Target: groceries, clothes, and even classes!! Who'd have thunk! Anyway, I start intensive German on Oct 19. They said if I got a job I just bring in the offer letter and they will help me switch to another class, so all's good.
Then I came home and went to the Gemeindehaus (or city administration building) and got a letter that permits us to LEAVE the country next week. So we can get our car! And theoretically we could go to DLP. If only I could convince the DH.
Got back on the bus to pick up the kids and they had a SUPER week with all good behavior. I had promised them lego toys if they had a perfect week, so we went to Manor and got some lego games.
Now I'm back home and need to pack before our early morning departure to Matterhorn.
Oh, and I got word on another job interview for a position with my current company for Tuesday. So hopefully, something will work out for me.
I was all about ACTION today. Not sure if I was brave, but I was MOVING. Not exercise moving, but moving nonetheless!
Later ladies.
Jen
I didn't take many pictures last weekend since I did the Photopass, but I did find a couple of cute tie dye t-shirts.

Not sure why they all came out different colors, I took them the same way just a few seconds apart. Weird!
