HaPpPy MoNdaY Everybody!

Did we all survive the weekend?

Great Pics Kelly and Sarah. So much Fun.

We went to lunch in New Mexico and took my parents with our grandchildren. Afterwards, we walked the square, looked in some of the quaint shops then stopped by the Homemade Candy store and let the kids pick out a few things to take home.

On the way back we drove the backroads and it's so pretty. The road winds through big pecan groves on either side.. this season they are heavy with fruit. The farm that owns the grove has a little store which sells ice cream and nuts.. we stopped and all had an ice cream cone. We laughed at the kids..they were so HaPpPy!

And then we stopped to look at a field which was full of tiny yellow butterflies.. it was magical. Then the kids got to pick a few pieces of fresh fluffy white cotton from the field. It was a great day.

Thanks again, Cristabel for the great exchange package! My Mother Loved Everything!

Morning and Happy Monday fellow divas!

Cristabel first off prayers to your grandpa! Keep us informed! Hope he starts feeling better soon!

Sara GREAT pics!! And girl you SO can tell you have lost weight! You look amazing!! And LOVE all the pics! The ones of the divas are great and so are the ones of your family! SO cute!

Dawn what a fun day! Sounds like you guys had a great time! LOVE days like that!!

We had a nice relaxing evening and LOVED watching Amazing Race and EHM! Two of my all time favs!!

Now today I am not working because mom is still up in Truckee with my cousins so I am actually going to workout this morning for the first time in FOREVER and then I have to run out and pickup my pics and run a few other errands but otherwise just housework today.

Nothing else really going on this week either. The girls just have soccer practice this week and I will go in to work sometime possibly wed and then sometime Friday but I meet with my NEW doc on Friday. I am a bit nervous about the whole transition because I am almost out of all my meds and I have to get them all transferred over and I haven't gotten my new cards yet and I don't want any hassles with the pharmacy. I get a lot of anxiety over stuff like this and I just will be glad when it is all over. I also hope I like this new doc cuz I really have no choice if I don't cuz there were only like 4 to choose from and the others were too far away.

At this point we just have soccer games and not much else going on until the trip so that is my next big thing to look forward to and boy am I excited! I can't wait!! Only a few more weeks!!! :)

Happy Monday Divas!

Great pictures Sarah. I like the one of your DH and baby girl on Heimlich's Chew Chew, it is soooo cute.:cutie: We had such a nice lunch at Cafe Orleans, didn't we? And I know I told Sarah about 50 times how fabulous she looks, the new glasses, white teeth and slimmed down bod - she is rocking it!:cool1:

I won't be in DL myself again until the Oct meet - I can't wait.

Dawn - what a peaceful lovely weekend you had. Missed you and thought about you this weekend.

I hope Beth, Theresa and Marcie had a lot of fun in Vegas this weekend. They sure had a full agenda of exciting adventures.:)

Hi everyone!!!! :hippie:

I read back to what I missed over the weekend but didn't multi-quote. :rolleyes1 So of course I cannot remember what I wanted to say. I will say that I loved all the pics from Cristabel of Disney, and Kelly's pics from the weekend. :)

Theresa, Marcie and I had a great weekend! Lots of fun. I only took a few pics but I will post them later and I'm sure they'll end up on FB too. The gospel brunch was amazing by the way. If the one in DTD is anything like that, it's so worth it.

Well, back to reality for me. I've got "chores" to catch up on around the house. Talk to y'all later.

Hi Beth - Welcome Back!

Glad you guys had so much fun.
Hummm, I had decided not to go to the Gospel Brunch as I am not religious, but may change my mind now. Thanks for sharing that. Have fun with those chores!:headache:

The longest school Monday is over!
I had two exams today that I stressed over this past weekend. I studied until my brain exploded, scooped it back in and did it again. I think I did rather well but usually when I say that I get a C. So, no jinx!

I'm here at the bookstore because I was supposed to have my US bank checks available but they idiot banker sent them to my house when I told her SEND THEM HERE and she said I could pick them up in two weeks (9/16) when they called me. Well, no call!

I'm grumpy....if you can't tell.
I'm going to get my binder, go to my dorm and SLEEP.

Hi Everyone! Congrats Cristabel. I loved that feeling when the exam was behind me and I felt like I had done okay. Happy recovery.

Love the pics from Cristabel and Sarah! Cutie Patootie kiddos Sarah. Looks like you had fun with all the divas too:thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear about Beth, Marcie and Theresa's adventures. I was a bit green with envy, I tell you!

Hubby and I got an incredible offer to go stay at Ceasars for free and two free tickets to watch Bette Midler. Airfare is cheap, but we just can't count on people stepping into our shoes to watch our children and dog. Big bummer!

Just for giggles, I got a quote for a balcony cabin going to Alaska for my family of 4. Any one want to guess? $8299!!!:eek::eek:
I didn't book it!

The repo cruises are much more affordable, and of course if I took an inside cabin, and then if I left the kids at home...the price is much better:thumbsup2
Maybe they will have a special one day:)

Anyone have ideas for me for a kid sitter while we are at the Paradise Pier? We are willing to try Pinochio's workshop but are not sure about them dealing with the diabetes of my friends son. A trusted referral would be much better. (not willing to go with an agency in a hotel room, ya know what I mean??)

Hello!

On Friday DBF and I went down to Anaheim for a car show/meet/cruise thingy on Saturday morning. I used Priceline and got the Red Lion hotel on the corner of Harbor and Katella for $42.00. We were on the top (8th) floor and got to see the fireworks from out window. It was awesome. It was sad being with in walking distance to DL and not going but DbF and I are going next Tuesday though so it wasn't too bad.:rotfl:

Saturday morning we met up with some of DBF's friends and all drove together to Big Bear. We spend the day at his friend's timeshare on the lake and walking around the little town. They were having Oktober Fest but we didn't go.

Great pictures everyone.

Beth can't wait to see yours too.

Everyone seems to be going and doing things, I think I'm jealous. :rotfl:

Stopping in real quick to say Hi!

Looks like the ladies visiting Beth all had a great time! Love the pics from the mini-meet and Sarah's family.

So I took the plunge today and booked my hotel for my birthday trip. I'm going to arrive 17 Dec and leave 19 Dec. If all goes well I'll be in the park 17-18 Dec. I completely forgot that we had WDW tickets from 2004 leftover. So I'm going to exchange them for DL tickets both days and get the gift card on my birthday!. :cool1:

Hope all is well with everyone! I'll be on later, need to help my girls with their homework.

Hey craft ladies, and you know who you are...I forgot a step which is really obvious, but just in case,

Cut off the rubber bands, and pull out the dental floss before rinsing!!

Okay, everyone else, back to your regular programming.

Amy

On the way to school this morning DD tells me her and her friends were thinking of getting together on Halloween and having a sleep over. I asked where at?....She lets me know that she would like it at our house. Ok, no problem. She never asks for stuff like that. But then she informs me that she will also be inviting 3 of the guy friends in the group. She is so used to hanging out with her male cousins and doing sleep overs with them that she doesn't even think its odd to have guys at the sleep over. Didn't think I would have to deal with this.

Amy Sue - I already thought about that and had planned to. Thanks for making me crafty yesterday. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

do we have to let it dry completely before we rinse? Mine are still wet and I was afraid to rinse that it might run.

I think Cristabel should volunteer to come and help chaperone. She can take the 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. shift. LOL

Seriously--I would make sure the parents know that it's going to be co-ed but otherwise I think Tay's got a good head on her shoulders from what you've told us and her friends probably do too.

Ok, I did cut the RB and DF and rinsed, then washed in cold water and dried in the dryer. Let's just say our shirts looked kinda "blobby". Breezy's looks better than mine cause her head was a little bigger. Amy - do you think we could use a black sharpie to outli8ne the Mickey head? I'm thinking that is the only thing that will save our shirts. We had such fun Sunday and you are an awesome teacher.:goodvibes Will post pix on the weekend when DD comes home. Thanks again, Cheryl & Amy.:cutie:

Linda--I was thinking if my Mickey head wasn't as distinct as I liked that what I would do is get one of those bleach pens and go around the outline with it. Just a thought.

Cheryl, rinse them when they are wet!!! Mine are in the washer at this moment!!

Linda...mine is a bit blobby too, the little ones, I had never done the mostly white look before, but I am hoping that it will look better when it is dry. Hpe springs eternal, right?

I think a sharpie would work. I have some fabric specific markers that I got a Michaels for a kid birthday craft, and they worked well!!!

And thanks for the compliment, I had fun too, and think I kind of fell apart on the teaching part!!

I also brought little gifties for every one and forgot to pass them out...bummer!!!

Another great idea!!!!

Maybe you ladies are more crafty than you thought!!!

Seriously, it isn't hard. On the Family boards, you can find a step by step with photos!!

We missed you sweetie, I hope I get to see you sometime before the meet n February!!
