Afternoon all! Well this morning started out crazy! I went to the mail and got a letter from dh's union and they are changing our health ins again!

Sorry for all the healthcare hassles you are going to have to deal with because of this. What a pain. Good luck with it all, and I hope your plans for a WDW trip work out!!

I talked to Josh about me thinking of going to DL for my birthday. He doesn't think that I'm crazy. He even suggested that if I'm going to do it that I should go night before, spend my entire birthday in DL, and spend that night so that I come home the next morning. I still think I'm crazy about thinking about doing this but I am seriously considering it.

Now that sounds like a plan! And you deserve it.

Hi everyone! I am posting on behalf of Dawn and myself from the concierge lounge in the Grand Californian!!

This is such a great experience and I cannot thank Dawn enough for treating us both to this weekend. We just had tea sandwiches, cookies, scones, fruit and chocolate covered strawberries. In just over an hour we're meeting Linda and Bree and coming back for the next round of hors d'ouvres! I have a feeling we will not be eating a lot at lunch tomorrow!

Anyway, we are looking forward to a really relaxing weekend and not sure how much park stuff we're going to be doing.

Hope everyone is doing well and we'll try to check in later!

Evening all. I hope you all had a nice week!

I'm doing well and have been able to go grocery shopping (small list) and have been able to cook a little as well. I'm still resting a great deal as well.

Morning all!

I am up bright and early cuz I haven't been sleeping well. Still have that stupid headache/neck thing. Plus we have our earliest game today. Not sure what happened either cuz we got a call last night while at sam's from the league ref and it seems that the reg ref kept the girls cards last week. Each kid has an ID type card that they have to have to play. It has their picture and all their info on it and the refs have to look at them before they can play each game. WHY we just found this out last night when he had them all week long I have no idea but we were rushing around trying to figure out how to get them and Shane told him to come by our house but as of when I went to bed I hadn't seen the guy. So HOPEFULLY he got them to Shane or we can't play today!

But anyway hopefully today will be better than yesterday! Thanks Beth for the well wishes. I have my apt set and so far 2 of my 3 docs I know take the new ins I just have to ask my neuro and I have an apt with him next wed so we shall see. It is just going to be a big hassle and I am just nervous about getting everything transferred over so that I don't run out of any of my meds but hopefully they will get it all straightened out. Plus as I said it is just another big pain in the butt I really didn't need right now but what else is new eh? LOL.

Steph glad you are feeling better! Just make sure you don't try to do too much too quickly! Let them pamper you! I hope your birthday trip works out. There is nothing more fun than Disney at Christmas!

Stacie and Heather that is so exciting about winning the hotel! Congrats! I am just so bummed that they are doing the mouseadventure then. I am never able to go when they have it. I have wanted to be in one FOREVER but by the time I find out when one is it is always RIGHT after I have already gone on a trip and I can't go back. SOMEDAY I want to do one! Oh well. Somday!

Anyway today we have our early game and then it is back home to clean, clean, clean and then this afternoon I have to take the girls to their slumber party. They will have a great time! This is at my friend's house who is SO creative and always throws GREAT parties for her kids. I know the girls will have a blast! I am excited for them. Plus it is their first slumber party!

Then we are going to TRY to go to HP tomorrow! I almost hate to say it cuz something always comes up LOL but that is the plan! So wish us luck that it happens this time cuz if not this is probably our last chance. We can't go next week cuz of the reunion and by the following week it prob won't even be around anymore. So here's hoping!!

Anyway hope everyone has a GREAT day and weekend.

I booked my airfare for Feb. I had travels credits that were going to expire so I had to use them. But in the end it only cost me $30 today.
I leave @ 7 AM 2/25 and arrive at 11:25 AM @ SNA.

How is everyones wknd going? I have today off but I am working a double tomorrow.
School starts on Monday.

Noelle and I had a mother/daughter shopping day. It was fun. Target had a bunch more Halloween stuff out and I was in heaven just checking it all out.

Awesome! I am waiting until the price drops below $200 to SNA or LGB. We got $189 for our December trip so I am hoping for that again.

Beth- I also checked out the stuff at Target. My DD really wanted to get stuff to decorate our house this year, but it's not in the budget . Hopefully some of the stuff will still be there after Halloween and I can save it for next year .

Hi Gals,
Just a quick hello. Wish I was off doing all sorts of fun stuff. Mostly just chores, soccer, chores. We did get to have our friend Jack and his entourage over for a few hours yesterday. I am dying to tell those boys that they are going to Disneyland, but will somehow manage to keep my mouth shut for 3 more weeks. It is killing me though!

It really sounds like Dawn and Cheryl are having a wonderful time. I am so happy for them. I love the Melting Pot when I have time for a liesurely chatty meal. My husband thinks it is too much work though.

For those of you still facing challenges in your life, hang in there. I hope that things will change around for you.

Beth, you are such a good Mom, and should be very proud of Nicole. That is really cool.

Well I'm officially a flake . I didn't make it to the mini meet yesterday and I'm really upset about it.

My sister met me earlier in the day for my son's birthday, but then one of my nephews started feeling sick so they were going to all leave. My other nephew was mad because he didn't want to leave yet & asked if he could stay with us. Of course being the nice auntie I am, I said NO . If you've met my nephews, you'd understand. Well he started pouting and begging. My DS who hates to see young kids upset decided to throw the birthday card "Why don't you let him stay with us, it's my birthday & I'll help watch him". So he stayed with us.

About a 1/2 hour later it hit me, what the heck am I going to do with him when I meet the girls. I was planning on sending my older 2 off by themselves, but there is no way I was sending my nephew off with them. Again if you met my nephew, you'd understand.

I called Sarah and said I don't think I'd be able to make it because I had my nephew with me and she said there was room for him so I said I'd try to stop by. I tell my nephew he's going to eat lunch with me and the baby & he starts whining that he wants to stay with Devin & Adara. I'll skip the drama of what happens next, but I'll just say that I never met up with any of the girls & yesterday was the LEAST relaxing day I've ever had at Disneyland .

I hate feeling like a flake. I've never missed a meet before & I feel bad. But the moral of the story is, next time I go to Disneyland & plan on meeting people, DON'T tell my family I'm going .

Katie I am sorry you had a crummy day yesterday and weren't able to meet up with the gals! Hopefully today will be a better day!

I don't think I posted it on here (or maybe I did I have brain fade LOL) but we went to our game yesterday and the girls won again so that was awesome and then we came home and everyone worked together and we got the house all **** and span and it looks awesome!! I only wish it would STAY this way! We all worked our butts off and it hasn't looked this good in forever. It is glistening! LOL. And the best part is with everyone working together we got it done fairly quickly and were able to relax for the rest of the afternoon. Then we took the girls to our friends house for their slumber party and then took Lynn to work and Shane and I were actually completely ALONE for once in a blue moon. It was shocking! So we went and had dinner ALONE for once. It was nice! Of course it didn't last long cuz Lynn is only working 2 hours but it was nice while it lasted.

Anyway the girls need to be picked up at 10 and Lynn goes to work at 1 so after we drop her off we are FINALLY going to HP!! I can't believe it. Although I shouldn't bring it up cuz something will go wrong LOL!

I have not been to church in FOREVER though between my surgery and then everyone getting sick and now this weekend the girls are gone and next weekend the reunion but I knew that our Awana was starting soon and I e-mailed the church but hadn't gotten a response. Well FINALLY I got the church secretary to e-mail me back and they started LAST week! I was so bummed that the girls missed the first meeting but I am going to have them go this week. I am excited for them though to start back in. They really enjoy going and Shelby finished up her sparky book last year so I am not sure what they are going to have her do this year. Katy only got about halfway through her TNT book though so she still has a ways to go. (they are books that they have to memorize scripture). At the end of the year last year they got little awards and such for finishing the book or in Katy's case she got these little stickers on her badge for the chapters that she had completed.

We STILL have not started girl scouts yet. I have a feeling though that is going to start next month. We hardly did anything last year so I am hoping we do more this year!

Anyway that's bout it for me. Just really excited about this upcoming week!

We're going to a Lifehouse concert that Marcie is dying to see - and I'm fairly easy to convince to join in for the fun We're doing lots of fun stuff and checking out the House of Blues Gospel Brunch on Sunday (in Vegas we go to the Gospel Brunch )
