Beth.. if you can just add them as a team..that would be great.

Janelle..if something happens and you end up alone on your team..or the opposite for your team member..we will add you to another team..but be aware they will have their own themed name tags, accessories ect. Thanks for understanding.

I am totally ok with that! I have to THANK all of you for your understanding. :flower3:

We were going to make an announcement on scavenger hunt after the teams were decided. But since this has arisen over tenative sign ups, let me explain why i replied the way i did.

We are going to have the teams come up with their own names.. and we are encouraging to acessorize like one of the winning teams did last year.. i think they had on their tiara's a boa snap bracelet.. i can't remember. And also we wish the teams to design their own team name plate that can be pinned to something we are going to give them before the hunt starts.

Melody was going to say it all so pretty.. :rotfl: But i felt i needed to explain my words so they were not misinterpreted as being unkind. :goodvibes

I didn't think your words were unkind. Heck, it makes perfect sense to me. It's that way with anything that requires an exact count.

I've always said we welcome anyone at anytime, but certain meals, tours, events and activities do require a set deadline to sign up by. Same thing with last year. We had some late joiners who asked if they could join, I think Kerri was one that springs to mind, and it was fine with the understanding that by that point certain things were planned and booked and any late joiners will be limited as to what they can sign up for.

It not to be mean or noninclusive, but rather that's just the way it works. I got it. And I'm sure everyone else does as well. It's nothing personal. :)

I think it's pretty well known that it's not an exlcusionary thing, we even made room for people that came last year the day before the event. This year we are working on something to give each participant. And there have been lots of requests on the forming of the teams. With the holidays, busy schedules, traveling and family time. Sooner sounded better than later.

We will just leave it open for longer.:confused3

I wanted to give the teams time to bond, plan and get excitted for the hunt.

Ditto! Makes perfect sense. I joined the thread late last trip, maybe a month before the dates and so I was too late to do the scavenger hunt. And I totally got that. These things take planning. I did get in on a tour because someone canceled at the last minute. She would have lost her payment but I picked it up.

Dawn, that sounds so great. I love that you all are thinking that way. I'm so excited. :yay: (and now I have to get off this computer and run!)

Your thinking was good. Sooner is better - the sooner we know what is going on in your minds, the sooner we can plan. Some trips (like Mel's fashion district) only come up in a rare while. Many of us try to avoid the malls and outlet malls as it gets closer to the holidays and this is now November. So I vote you stick to your original plan and put the two maybes on the same team.

I will try to email Kerry.

Greettings Divas!

I'm know the planning has been kicked into high gear so I'm trying to figure out if i'm going to be able to go for sure or not. I know it's been a little up in the air. Anyway....if I do come it would just be for the weekend. More likely Friday-Sunday, leaving Sunday evening. I'm working out the details so I should know soon. Anyone else going for just the weekend?

If you can at all swing it, I would really recommend that you try to show up Thursday evening for the Meet and Greet. That is such a fun time and it would be a shame if you missed it.

By the way, it looks like my chances of coming are good. I have child care covered, and Justin (hubby) hasn't been giving me any guff about going lately, so it's looking good. :thumbsup2 :cool1: :thumbsup2

Now to save the necessary moolah. This is the challenge. :rolleyes1

I never said it was an exclusionary thing. And I didn't imply that you were saying that either. :confused3 I don't think it should be left open for longer. I was saying I was glad you told me about the deadline so I could update the front page. That's all.

Deadlines are a good thing and a necessary thing when planning a trip like this where plans and reservations need to be made. I don't know what I said that was misinterpreted so greatly.

My thoughts exactly. :goodvibes The meet and greet team really put a great party on for us, and it was such a nice ice breaker. I felt more connected to everyone afterward. I know the party this year will be just as wonderful, and it really helps to learn everyone's personalities in that type of atmosphere. If you can swing being there by Thursday night, I think you should really do that! :thumbsup2

Hi friends--it's been a great day so far!

I spent a grand total of 30 minutes at work this morning before I had to pick my mom up from the airport. BUT, in that 30 minutes I got a bunch of emails sent AND I found a Tiffany earring that I lost last week and thought was gone forever. And, while I know that Dave was going to replace it as part of my Christmas present, I really didn't want him to have to do that, so I am uber happy.

Meanwhile while i was getting a decent night's sleep my TA was hard at work getting our WDW ADRs set up and we got exactly what we wanted within 10 minutes of our preferred times. We are doing breakfasts at Donald Safari (first seating), Playhouse Disney (mid morning so that we can get our TSMM FPs first), lunch at Chefs de France (I am already drooling just thinking about their tasting menu) and dinners at Kona, Ohana, Le Cellier, Teppan Edo and Crystal Palace. We are still waiting on getting our ressie for the F! dinner package at Mama Melrose, but our TA seems to think that she'll be able to get us a 4:30 (last seating) with no problem!

Now, my mom is taking a quick nap and I am catching up on the rest of my emails and taking it a bit easy today. Tomorrow both Dave and I have the day off so we will likely go shopping at the outlets since my mom's not really into the Strip. Although we may hit Shark Reef or the Secret Garden just for something interesting to do.

Hope that everyone else is having a great day and is as excited for the scavvy hunt as I am!!! My team got 3rd place last year and we had so much fun that this is one of the things I am most looking forward to this year!:banana:

Beth... i was typing that while you posted so i hadn't read your post yet. So that post wasn't directed to you, I was just saying it in general. I know we are on the same page. Our posts got crossed. I'm typing slow.

It will all work out.

Add me to the list of uber excited Divas! I know what you mean about the teams. Last year it was Me, Bree, Sarah & Trudi. We thought we had a really good chance of winning. I mean Bree was working at DL, and Sarah is really smart. We took NO breaks and hustled our hineys off. And we didn't even place. It was sad!:sad2: Sarah made us these super cute necklaces with our team name on it and we had a lot of fun. BTW you two, I read you aren't coming to the Meet-n-Greet? It really is one of the funnest nights - I hope you can come Thurs night instead of Fri.:thumbsup2

Yay for the Scavenger Hunt and Meet-n-Greet!:yay:

I'm a double negative. I'm competitive and a sore loser :lmao:
So to future scavvy hunt crew, I have a strategy to help us go through our list faster.

I really like to win. Is that so bad? :rolleyes1
