I stayed home from work today... Shhhhh! Don't tell anyone!

Does anyone check out woot.com? They're having a woot-off and I can't turn my computer off.. I'm waiting for something good!!! Last night they had a PINK Flip video camera for $39. I missed it!

Man deb that sounds miserable about your bf's neice. That would drive me nuts too! I hope you guys were able to still have SOME fun! I don't blame you one bit for not wanting to go with her again on a trip.

Dawn I am glad you made it home and I SO know what you mean about how fun it is to go on trips but how good it feels to get home too!

As for me I had a busy day yesterday unpacking and running errands. I had to drop my pics off and pick up my prescriptions and get the mail so lots of running around.

I had a TON of laundry and I need to get it finished today and run to walmart. I MAY run and meet mom for lunch but that's bout it. Girls had soccer practice last night and tonight is church. We had a sad announcement while in DL. Our pastor kind of had a falling out with the denomination years ago (Methodist church) and he broke away and formed his own church. We are still a christian church but don't follow the methodist ways. Anyway they have been in litigation for YEARS and the church won and now we are losing our church. It is REALLY sad because I have been going to that church since I was a teen. The girls LOVE it there and it is RIGHT down the street from our house.

They will find a new church bldg I am sure but it won't be the same. We go there on Sundays, the kids go for Awana and vacation bible school. I just hope wherever they end up it isn't far away!

Anyway that's pretty much it for me for today. The girls have their last soccer practice tomorrow night which I am glad cuz time changes on Sat and it is getting too cold and dark plus it will be nice to have them home. Then Friday night the girls are going to a Girl Scout event called Spookarama which will be a lot of fun. Saturday we always go trick or treating at mom's cuz they live in an older neighborhood that is big and has lots of large homes on big lots so they do a hay ride to take the kids around and everyone goes together and it is a LOT of fun. One of the houses hosts a chilli dinner and they have cider and stuff. It is fun!

Anyway that's bout it.

It's Fall! It's Fall! It's Fall!

The high today will be 59! In Tucson! I'm so happy. Today is picture day at the school, and I can put a cute sweater on Nolan. Yay!

Nathan is still adjusting to my being gone and is melting down a lot. It's got my nerves fried. I'm looking forward to my 3 hours of peace this morning! (I'm such a bad mom. )

Cristabel-I tried Starbucks hot chocolate for the first time last weekend and it's really good. I hope you have a good day.

Dawn-I also love the 'you get what you get...' saying. I'll have to remember that one!

Ahhh Cheryl-I've missed you too! I wore the nightgown you and Linda got for me for my birthday this past weekend, and somehow I felt a little closer to the divas.

I kinda know what you're going through. Our head pastor,Francisco, who was leader of the children's ministry at our old church had a falling out with our old head pastor, Tommy, so he, as well as many other vital people in the church's ministry, left the church. We looked around for a new church because we agreed that the church had become spiritually dead and that Tommy wasn't doing anything to help that. We eventually joined Francisco's church (Calvary Chapel Gateway) when it started and have been there ever since. It was really hard leaving our old church because that was the church I grew up in and really loved. We started going there when I was twelve and we left when I was 16. It was hard but I know it was the right move.

I'm praying for you and your church. It's never easy to start all over again. Especially when you have to find a building. We haven't found one yet so we are currently at an elementary school.

Hey girls! Things have been really busy at work as I have been playing catch up from being out for the trip, and today we have the first of the three national organizations that are the finalists for the new sorority that we are bringing to campus next semester on campus today. It's a little nerve wracking as the women who are coming in are the highest ranking officers and employees of the sorority and I want to make sure that we impress them just as much as they are trying to impress us. And, while I'm sure that Beth is loving it, the weather here today is not cooperating as it's about 45 degrees and very, very windy, which is not conducive to an enjoyable campus tour.

LOL That's true, you've had a lot of Disney fun lately!

I'm away for work this week. I'm due home this Friday, keeping my fingers crossed for this. Then I leave again on Sunday and I'll be gone for another week. I'm looking forward to being home for good, or at least a good bit of time.

I haven't read back yet. We got home at 3 AM. I was sick most of the day.
We ended up with a flat tire. Thank goodness for AAA!!
Half of my trip was great. I really enjoyed seeing everyone at Dawns party.
The other half of my trip was a little crappy. Laramies niece was a BRAT!!!!

Whew, you had a bit of a roller coaster trip it sounds like. I'm glad you had fun though. Sorry about the illness, flat tire and the bratty behavior. For the record, I would have done exactly what you did. There's only so much a person can take before enough is enough! And you were there to enjoy yourself.

I should be packing for WDW but can't seem to get motivated. I know I'll be packing tomorrow night at midnight. (we fly out early Fri. morning but are staying up in L.a. Thursday night). Brandy is gong to housesit/cat sit/Bella sit.

Want me to come pack for you?? Of course, I'm known for way over packing! lol

I bought some hot chocolate and mini marshmellows last night to have on hand here in the house now that the weather is getting colder.
Currently it's 47 degrees but the wind is making it feel more like in the 30's!!! Brrrrr.

Thanks so much Cristabel, Heather and Beth on the church thing. I went there from about 16 to 18 and then as life usually does I kind of fell away when I went off to college and then to work and marriage but then when we moved back here and I had the girls I REALLY wanted to get back into church and I wasn't sure about my home church because it is SO small and my uncle (the one who just had the big 90th birthday) has been going there this whole time and is VERY involved had told me about all the issues that had been going on. I guess this whole mess has been going on for YEARS! It is just really sad because a LOT of the members left over it when it first happened and a lot of people put their own money into building funds to build the new church offices and just improvements and everything else. I mean I am pretty positive that the church is run primarily off the money they get from the tithing from the members. I just don't get it. I do love the pastor though and his whole family is part of the church. His daughter teaches the children's ministry and his son is studying to be a pastor and he does the announcements on Sunday's and his middle son is not directly involved in the church but he attends and is good friends with Shane. Plus we have many other good friends there and I just hate to see this happening.

I just hope that they find a decent place and that the transition goes smoothly. Apparently they have to be out in 6 months and the church is seizing their bank account AND the pathway (my church) has to pay the denomination 50,000 just for the stuff that is theirs. I am assuming some furniture and the musical instruments (piano, organ etc.). The whole thing is just disgusting to me but Shane said wherever Pastor Mike goes we will follow and we will.

Anyway nuff of that! Jane good luck with all the sorority stuff and it was so great seeing you again and your little guy was so cute!!

Beth I know what you mean about the cold. It was SO flippin hot in DL and now in just a matter of a day I am FREEZING! LOL. I am glad though I prefer the cool and it seems much more appropriate for this time of year! Our soccer game is at 9 a.m. on Saturday and I think we are going to be freezing our patooties off. Plus I hope the girls aren't too cold trick or treating! Their costumes aren't very thick and I know they aren't going to want to wear jackets!

Speaking of cakes or sweets in general, I am working on trying to find a cake for Noelle's birthday. She wants a Twilight themed cake and I was hoping to find one for her, but the only bakery around here that would make one, wanted to charge $50.

That might not seem like a lot to some, but it's just going to be a small family party with two or three extra friends, and I don't need that much cake, nor do I want to spend $50 on it when that money could go to a gift, something that will last, kwim? We're more of a Costco cake family. (Meaning cheapo! )

So I'm a little bummed. I've seen several cake pics that people made themselves but I'm just not creative like that. If I tried, I know I'd mess it up. Plus buying all the supplies would cost me a lot too.

Oh well. Just wanted to complain for a bit. I'm sure we'll think of something......
