Girls Only~ OLD THREAD, new one linked in first post

I honestly don't know exactly. I just know that they are working on something to remember her. I THINK it might be a button or something, but I'm not sure. It was mentioned a while back.....

Oh yes, I remember that. Thanks, Beth.

Stacie, we put them on the back - and they came out great. The little one can go on the front bottom or higher or on the sleeve. Callie and Heather did a great job!

Tracey, we're going to miss you. And I was looking forward to meeting eatmypixiedust.

Beth thanks for sending us the phone list.

So only two people have a "N" by their phone number - they cannot text.

But two people have an "R" which I guess means they can receive only but cannot reply? Just thought it's better to clear that up now.

So much to do, so little time!

Well, since I can't go, thought I would just help with the planning:)

What about Paradise Pier Hotel and having a "kitchen Sink". It would make such a great picture!

I'll be home by the time you're having your dessert, but I think this is a great idea! Just imagine the pictures!

Stacie~I have not done my shirt yet, but it is a zip-up hoodie. I'mplanning on putting the small image on the upper front, probably left side. I was plannong on putting the large one on the back, but now I'm wondering if I'll even bother with that, since my hair and backpack will cover it. But then again, I could cut all my hair off, get a different bag and put in on the back. Only the little time I have left will tell!

When we did our hoodies we put the large logo low on the back so our hair wouldn't cover it.

Quick question: for those who are doing the Pirate iron-on, are you putting the big one on the front or the back? I still haven't decided...

I put the big one on the front. I want people to see it as I am coming at them. Plus, I didn't want my jacket or hair to cover it up.

Stacie, I just did a regular long-sleeve t-shirt, and used the big logo on the front. It looks nice.

I'm leaning towards the front only because it will show up in pictures.

Regarding Ariel's for lunch on Friday, DD Christine and her friend are coming to the park that day so I'm going to take a chance that when we get there, we can add 2 to the table(s). If not, I'll eat with them somewhere else, but I'm hoping it won't be a problem.

I put the large one on the back and the small one on the front as well. I'm planning to wear a pink thermal under my shirt I don't have to cover it with a jacket. Hopefully it won't be too cold. Not sure about my hair covering it though...:confused3

Paradise Pier has the "kitchen sink"??? How cool. I've seen pics of that in WDW. Hmmmm, something else to keep in mind. Thanks!!

Yes, N means no texts period. R means receive only. And Y means send and receive.

OMG!!!! We should totally do that! I had it once at Beaches & Cream with 2 friends. We couldn't finish it. :(

It was SO fun with pics & really quite good.

Count me in too--I love the idea!

I want to be at Disneyland NOW. I am totally struggling to get through all the things I need to do at work 'cause all I can think about is being on vacay!

Wow, we picked a great weekend for our girls' trip. This upcoming weekend they are doing a bunch of maintenance on campus so there will be power outages, wifi problems, etc and it'll all be while I'm gone :thumbsup2

Oh, does anyone know if HoJos has wifi? I'm probably taking my iTouch, so I can write down a little of my trip report. If I don't do that, I always forget what happened and when

Okay so at this point more people are ready to take a pass on Blue Bayou than are wanting to keep it. SO, I am canceling that entire reservation.

I see that the Kitchen Sink is sold at PCH Grill at Paradise Pier.

Desserts
The Whole PCH Grill & Kitchen Sink - Ten Scoops of Ice Cream...then tell us what you don't want on it. $21.99

Basic Sundae - Three scoops of Ice Cream, Caramel or Chocolate Syrup, plus Nuts or Sprinkles. $7.99

Splitsville Sundae - Banana, Three Scoops of Ice Cream, topped with Caramel or Chocolate Syrup, and more! $7.99

Kilauea Molten Apple Pie - A "lava" flow of Vermont Maple syrup erupting over baked apple slices. $4.79

Dreyer's ice cream - Enjoy your Dessert a la mode. $1.79

"Cali"-style Cheesecake - Been California Dreamin' of Cheesecake? Here it is! $4.79

Warm Boardwalk Brownie - with a Gooey Chocolate sauce. Take a delicious stroll on the sweet side. $4.99

Do we need a reservation for there or can we just walk in??

Because I was going to suggest once BB is cancelled we then just play that evening's dessert plans by ear. If we feel like walking all the way to PP then we can go there. IF not, we can go to Gibson Girl.

Sound okay?? :confused3

that sounds like a good plan.
Oh and I'm calling Steakhouse 55 right now!

Alright ladies, I just got off the phone with Disney dining (they had to forward me to the large party voice mail) and I left a message asking them to change our reservation from a party of 16 to a party of 8.
That is all. :goodvibes

Cristabel, I know in the rooms the Hojo has a blue cord for your laptop to plug into. I don't know if they have Wifi near the lobby or anything.

Ack, I took my car in to get the tires rotated and I need new front tires. It will have to wait after this weekend.

If you are signed up for the Monday BB dessert, this pertains to you, so please read and reply.

Jane pointed out to me that on the allears menu for Blue Bayou, that the cookie boat is gone, the key lime pie is gone, the creme brulee trio is now just basic creme brulee. :sad2: So their dessert menu is basically nonexistent. I don't know why they removed all those items, but it hardly seems worth going there now. :confused3

I was looking forward to the atmosphere but now, I'm not sure I want to go. Anyone else on the list feel the same way??

What about those who were interested in dessert meeting someplace else instead? Maybe Gibson Girl for ice cream?
Or Wine Country Trattoria for dessert and wine??? :confused3 (NEVER MIND, APPARENTLY WCT IS CLOSED WHILE WE ARE THERE, SO THAT'S NOT A SECOND OPTION, SORRY!!)

PLEASE let me know your thoughts on this as we don't have much time to plan something new. Thanks!!!

Monday at 7pm I will be at Stage door cafe trying out funnel cake for anyone who wants to join me!

I'm torn. I like ice cream but I also like funnel cake.
Oh the choices!

Well, ice cream never really settles well with me and I know I won't want to walk all the way to paradise pier anyway so, Sarah count me in!

Oh and I just read this review of a new counter service place near PFF
It's called the Troubadour Tavern

Click the picture to read the review.

They offer baked potatoes ($6.29) with your choice of BBQ chicken, broccoli and cheese, or the standard topping combo of butter, sour cream, bacon, cheese and chives. They also have corn on the cob with either butter or chili lime at $4.39 and a Bratwurst sandwich with sauerkraut and choice of chips or apple slices ($6.99).

Omg, I can actually eat a healthy meal and be satisfied for under $10! :woohoo:
