Girls Only Disneyland Trip - Old Thread

And I love January's post this morning!

I have a dry erase board with all vacations listed for the year and I change the number of days remaining each Sat. So I knew it was 33 days, but seeing her post sure put a big ole smile on my face.

Those of us doing the Segway (and anyone else who wants to meet us) I think right after the tour we should get a FP for Soarin' and then hightail it to Toy Story. Trust me, that line gets very long, very quick. What do you think?

Ummm, I don't do tiaras and probably will skip PFF. It makes me angry (Molly knows all to well my feelings about that place). Is that ok??

Things I want to try for the first time:​

I've only been on the Nemo subs once. I'd love to ride again!

I've never seen "Billy and the Hillbillies" either.

I rode it once at WDW in December, and I loved it. It's a really fun ride. I just hope the line isn't as long as it was at WDW - that was out of control long.

I have not been on Space Mountain in over 6 years!!

Wow you guys were busy yesterday!! Whew!

Well I am FINALLY officially going now cuz mom bought the tickets yesterday!! Whoo Hoo!! NOW it finally seems really real. Not that it didn't before but now we have something concrete! LOL.

So we are arriving at OC airport at 2:00 p.m. and we will probably take a taxi to HoJo's and check in and then from there I am not sure what we will do. I don't know if we will go to a park or just hang out. We may just head to DTD and shop or whatever. We will be too late to make Ariel's and I don't know that we would be able to catch up with anyone so we may just hang until it is time to meet up for the pizza deal.

But anyway then we don't leave on Sunday till 9 something but we are probably going to take the Shuttle so we will have to arrange to be picked up probably at 6ish I am thinking. But that still gives us time for the lunch at WCT and time to have fun at the parks. So I am pretty excited.

I love the tiara idea. I still don't know if mom and I are going to do that but I will talk it over with her. And for all you gals that only have boys I have to tell you that they can be swayed!

When we were in DW in November dh saw the dream team go into the princess tent and so he followed them in to see about winning the castle suite and then ended up having to get his pics taken with the princesses. But let me tell you for "having" to get his pics taken he SURE did enjoy it!!

OH TINA!! I'm wondering if we should set up a time for a big group of us to head on over to the 'Shoe to see our boyfriend. I'm sure everyone will want to see us swoon (no, I don't think there will be any catfight, ladies. Sorry to disappoint). Tina and I have come to an understanding that we share our beloved Kirk. Just don't anyone else get any ideas of wanting a piece of him. There's only enough for me and Tina.

I'm not exactly sure, after all the Dream Team isn't there for me to stalk anymore. But I am sure it will be something really fun!

What do you guys think about going to the Pixie Hollow meet & greet? DD & I are checking it out next weekend (and the new Small World ride). I've heard the pixies are really cute and the area is done up really well. I'm sensing good photo op's! And that line gets long early, too.

That sounds like a good idea. But I think that is when some of us will be taking the dole whip pic for Bob. I can't remember. How can I split myself in two to be able to do everything?

I had A LOT of fun with you guys at the Billy show last time. Of course the fact that you had waited an hour to get front and center seats and saved one for me didn't hurt. Are we thinking Friday? Wait, I'm going to BB for lunch, I would have to go to a later show. I am so anxious to go for our trip, it's like I want to plan each day out now. I can't help myself!

I plan to do Pixie Hollow for sure. DD is anti princess and pixie, so I will be able to do it without her on this trip. I hope to go at right after rope drop on that Thursday.

Am I the only one in the group who is a ride kind of person? You know, the kind of person that likes to get on as many rides as possible.

I guess I haven't gotten to the point of wanting to sit back and people watch, or wanting to watch any of the shows more than once, or getting autographs from all the characters, or.......

Nope, I just want to go on rides. (Although I will watch the fireworks and Fantasmic over and over again. Love those shows!)

Is that strange for a pushing 40 year old woman? I have a feeling I know what the answer is.

Kelly, I love the pix of your DH with the princesses! My DH was acting like he really didn't want to eat Ariel's. That is until the princesses came around and fawned all over him. He was grooving on that action! The CM's are really sweet and into their character. It really is a great experience.

It's funny, Capri. I have totally been like that up until this visit (and who knows, once I get there I may revert to my old ways). But honestly, I don't even care if I go on PoTC. I've been on that ride enough for my lifetime. Don't get me wrong, I'll want to go on the thrill rides so I'll be grabbing FP's for Space, Big Thunder, Screamin, etc. But I am looking forward to an atmospheric visit this time and plan on warming some benches as well as seeing the new Castle walk-thru and changes in IASW.

I will not be running around like crazy or waiting in long lines in order to go on rides though. I do that enough when I'm there with my kids (and have done that the last couple times I've been there without them as well).

I think the great thing about DL is that there's room for "all kinds"--the people watchers, the show/parade watchers, and yes, "the riders." I think because I go so often that the rides just don't hold as much allure for me. (not to mention I'm a chicken a lot of the time!)

Linda, my son has that same shirt your DH is wearing. Got it at Disney Character Warehouse! He'd be jealous if he saw this pic of your dh with HIS princess. Snow White is the only princess he likes.
